Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Went there for a day trip with three carloads of family. We had booked two huts by the pool for a poolside picnic.
You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks and you can buy cold drinks at a poolside bar if you run out.
Nice and clean pool. Toilets and shower facilities are also ok. The beach is rocky but it's possible to swim there.
Prices are very affordable for a day trip like this but you have to pay extra per head for use of the pool ant that was not mentioned when we booked.
They also have air conditioned facilities for overnight stay. There was also under roof facilities to accommodate maybe up to 200 guests for parties, weddings and other occasions. (I counted tables for 180 and there was still more space).
All in all, good value for money for a day trip and good standard compared to many other local resorts along the coastline of Negros Oriental.

It was a rainy December morning when we arrived at this beautiful beach resort. The place is perfect for fun and complete relaxation. The cottages were huge, with hot and cold shower and an AC for a great deal. The resort has a restaurant, bar, infinity pool and a shoreline. The restaurant serves a wide array of dishes which is affordable. Would definitely go back to this place.

We were just looking for a place to eat when a friend brought us to this place. From the highway you would not think much of the place as it did not have nice landscaping outside. But when we went in and saw the view and the infinity pool - wow! It was really beautiful. Which is why we decided to stay overnight to really enjoy the place. This place is operated by the government but it is maintained well and feels like it is private-owned. The native cottages were really beautiful. And the room rates are very affordable, rooms are huge and cottages are really beautiful. There's hot and cold shower, the staff was really very attentive, restaurant meals were ok, bed and pillows were really comfortable. There's not much to see if you snorkel but the view from the pool and the restaurant more than make up for it!

The bar and pool closes at 9 and u cant even go to the beach to have a night swimming . Overnight stay? Bad idea! We didnt enjoy the overnight stay because of course we wanna have fun and enjoy the pool and maybe buy some shots at the bar. The service sucks man. They rather make it as a motel lol. It's disappointing!

We are going there every year, last time Nov. 2013 and 2014 is planned again. We just love this quite and super clean location. You can bring your own food. We only ordered drinks. The pool is nice ( I felt the water a bit cold...but that was np at all) and clean and the view around just breath taking. Never overnight there as we are located in S.C.C. - I saw the accomodations which really looked fabulous from outside. I definitely would recommend this location to everybody.

The resort was okay/as we expected but the bar/restaurant kept playing loud Filipino radio music from it's slightly large speaker morning, noon and afternoon..

We were told the resort has had complaints before about the music and that the bar/restaurant concession is operated by an separate owner than the resort.

The music really ruined the atmosphere of being there, and in fact (as we told the front desk) the music alone was the reason we decided NOT TO STAY A 2ND NIGHT ! Meaning whoever is running that concession lost income because we left early..

I didn't travel 2.5hrs to a resort hoping to hear rock & roll etc. A remote resort like this is supposed to be tranquil.

Plus - the employee(s) of that concession congregated at the bar during lunch hour and were a bit LOUD. Most real businesses have strict rules about employees hanging out

So bottom line-the bar area management needs to get its act together because until they do I won't be coming back AND whoever you are-you're losing income.

The separate bungalow style huts are set up dorm style around a central community area. Pool is available and is always quite active. Extremely limited in the eating options in the area so you will be a captive of the resort itself.

All in all it was a little too remote for me and not worth the effort of going back.

The resort is run & manage by the Local Government Unit of La Libertad. And knowing about this, and how government system works, I appreciated on how they developed the place. Their pool, accomodation cottages, the gardens and big trees inside the resort. That's a kudos to them. Let's be fair.
What we are disappointed about is the maintenance on cleanliness, sanitation, insect control (especially mosquitos) and event-management coordination.
We stayed at Cottages 1 & 2. Four stayed at Cottage 1 & three stayed at cottage 3.
From the moment we turned ON the aircon, you can straight away tell that the filter has not been cleaned for a while... We request for that to be cleaned but we were just told that they will do it later, until we ended doing it ourselves. Windows and its frame are dusty. The floor had not been moped. The rooms are a bit dark and the most disappointing with the accomodation are the presence of mosquitoes. I will post the pictures with mosquito bites on my legs and feet which I took just the day after when I arrived back home, and after I tend to it with oitment. I am personally allergic to mosquito bites. It could easily get very itchy and inflamed. We checked out the very next morning.
Their bathroom/toilet doesn't have a clean rug and their wooden towel bar was not even dusted. It is covered in dust.
Food and restaurant service is being provided by a private caterer and with a concessionaire agreement with the resort. The food was okay and their food crew are well mannered and very courteous. They are very professional.
But we are disappointed with the resort's event planner and management coordination. Our representative booked way ahead of time a venue for the demo. We arrived at the resort nearly 2 in the afternoon. We had lunch and a little rest because the event was booked for 5 in the afternoon. We checked out the venue booked for us at around 4 o'clock, and guess what??? They had not prepared it yet!!! Shocking!
We are even the one who instructed their staff to Cover the tables with table cloth, also chair arrangement and others...
The pool area is a bit relaxing and quiet but only during the early hours during sunrise, but gets crowded even before lunch time, because they only have one common pool for walk in customers (like bunch of families who will have a fun day's out) and for those who are checked-in.

We stopped at this place for late lunch and short break on our way to Bacolod. Wow! The place is beautiful, it was beautifully design. My niece and nephew get to swim in the swimming pool, while we waited for our food to be served. Food was so yummy. Their gift shop show cased native hand bags and other handcrafts items for a cheap price. Highly recommended.
