We came in with two mini dogs leashed. The waiter said welcome. Then once we were seated in the terrace. There was an instant change of rules. A sign with `no dogs` was printed and stack on the entrance door. Then the waiter was ignoring us. And came to say that we are denied service because we had dogs. One the way out, we have seen the freshly printed sign denying access to dogs. There are a million other places to drink your coffee. Don't give your money to dishonest people. This is one of the few places for a light meal open fairly late in Al Hoceima (or so we found in early Oct 2017). It has an attractive and large café terrace on the main square of the town. The menu is quite extensive. Except for a caprese salad which was rather good, the food is nothing special - we had hamburgers. Service was unattentive - although there were only two or three other tables, the waiter seemed to be doing us a favour by serving us. It was, all in all, rather boring. Prices quite high too, I thought, and unjustified. One is paying for convenience and location in a town in which fastfood seems to be the main entertainment when it comes to food. Amazing when you see all the fresh produce in the markets ...
Nice hotel overlooking the sea. It also overlooks the main square, so lots of activitie in the evening. Everything you need in the rooms. Staff friendly. Reception speak English. Free WiFi. They serve great coffee. Restaurant is excellent. R
While we didn't stay at the Hotel Basilic, we did enjoy most of our dinners in their restaurant. This place offers a lot of choice with their extensive menu, ranging from (non-alcoholic) cocktails, to Tajins.
Me and my wife were going for an evening walk when we saw this place and decided to try out their desserts. I had ice cream and the wife had a pancake with banana and caramel. The pancake was heavy, but I guess if you like pancakes that way you will love it. Personally I like my pancakes light but that's just me :-) The ice cream was one of the best I have had for a long time. It was creamy and delicious so if you love ice cream you should definitely try out this place. The WiFi is free but we didn't get it to work. Notice we only visited the café.
