We were lucky enough to stay at Country Lane Gardens last night (unfortunately only for the one night) and from the time we walked in the door and were greeted by Paul, we felt at home. Super comfortable and very welcoming we would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone or indeed returning ourselves in the future!

From the moment we entered into the gates of the property we were amazed. A unique establishment with such a brilliant vibe. More than welcoming we were treated like old friends or part of the family. Our fantastic hosts were outstanding and pulled out all of the stops to make our night not only relaxed and enjoyable but more than memorable. This is a destination with a difference . Beautiful property amazing people who not only hosted but inspired. We can not recommend enough.

Paul and Manu were very welcoming and extremely helpful. Offers to cook meals for ourselves and family was a lovely thing, we did not take them up on it sadly. Very clean, very well run and would highly recommend it, thank you both.

We arrived on a Friday and left the following Thursday and we will always remember the professional, caring family atmosphere. From the minute we arrived, to the time we left, the house was full of laughter. Our room was peaceful with fantastic views. A touch of luxury. The food was a notch above the rest and our grandchildren loved it so much they came back for dinner every night. Manu and Paul, you were so kind, thoughtful and gracious. You are the hidden gems. Your staff were terrific. We can't thank you enough. Kind regards Brent & Liz H

We spent a couple of nights hear whilst visiting friends. Our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and professional. The accommodation was very tastefully designed with many interesting pieces of artworks and a beautiful garden. The bed was very comfortable. We would have no problem recommending this accommodation with easy access to Christchurch, Akaroa and many other attractions in the area.

A wonderful place to stay. Manu and Paul were perfect Hosts and I (along with my friends)was made to feel totally welcome in their home. The Accommodation was wonderful; I loved my room with its own private garden entry. The garden was beautiful and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring each part of it. I had friends book in for dinner with me so that we could catch up before I continued my travels. Dinner was divine, too much food but we did it justice I believe. We all felt very much at home and it was an effort to leave and move on. Thank you guys for your great hospitality and your openness. I felt like part of your family and that was very special. Thank you to Fern for allowing us into her personal space as well :-) I would recommend staying at the Country Lane B&B to all who are in, or passing through this area. This is a very special place.

Benoit and Danielle it was so wonderful to sit and share a meal and many stories with you while you were staying with us. It was a real pleasure to meet you both and we were thrilled that you found your way to us, the world certainly seems so much smaller when you connect with people like yourselves. We hope the remainder of your visit ensured some good off the beat locations and some great viewings of native species :-) until we see each other again, enjoy the journey. regards Paul and Manu.

As well as a very warm and generous welcome from Manu and Paul we were delighted by the charming home, the beautiful extensive grounds and the wonderful facilities including wifi, sky TV and the washing machine. Our hosts pay attention to detail. We stayed for three nights one week ago and we had no hesitation in returning this week for a further 5 nights. This is a must visit if planning to stop near Christchurch, or on route to many holiday attractions in the south, north or west. If we return to ski in the winter, the ski fields west of Christchurch are readily accessible. Outstanding B&B.
