I stayed here for one night for work. Normally I would have stayed at the nearby Fairfield Inn because I'm close to renewing my Marriott platinum status, but I chose here because I was one stay away from a free night at a Wyndham.

I arrived late at night and check-in was friendly and swift. The hotel is two-stories and it was an easy walk up the wide and gently sloped stairs from the lobby.

It's nothing fancy at $84 a night, but it was clean and quiet. The room was bright as well. I dislike rooms that are dark despite turning all the lights on.

One nit I would pick, was the internet speed the night I was there would best be described as glacial. It could have been a glitch by the provider. I ended up firing up my Verizon hotspot t solve the problem.

The mattress was just ok. It was firm, but not plush. You won't mistake for a bed at a Westin.

I didn't bother with breakfast, but it looked like the usual fare that I'm tired or eating.

There are a couple restaurants nearby, one a beer and burger place I've eaten at that was decent. There is also a Chinese restaurant next door.

For it's price point, it's a good place to stay for a basic place to sleep.

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient for check-in and check-out, but this an aged facility that has not been maintained very well. Unpatched holes in the walls of the room, dirty corners/grout/caulking in the bathroom, shower drain backed up as soon as water was turned on, hot breakfast was served cold despite being in the covered serving trays, noise from closing doors at all hours. We have stayed at a number of AmericInn facilities in our travels and this was the first where we encountered anything of this nature.

I stayed at this place for one night on a work trip.

Normally I would have stayed at the nearby Fairfield Inn, but I already had my Marriott Rewards platinum status for the year and I thought I should stay here so I can get the same for Wyndham stays this year.

The Fairfield Inn is a better hotel, but they're comparable. The upsides to the AmericInns are that there are two decent restaurants a short walk a away and a large Kwik Trip convince store across the road.

The hotel is quiet. I like the concrete second floor so you don't hear anyone asking int he hallway. The bed is ultra firm, but I slept well. The towels were a bit worn, but I'm picking nits.

The sink faucet is room 212 was extremely slow.

I'd skip the the complimentary breakfast unless you're super thrifty. The pre-fab little scrambles egg omelettes and sausage patties were sad.

There is a pool that looks like it's be fine for kids.

Average isn't bad and I'd be willing to stay here again.

Booked 2 adjoining rooms for my family of 5 by calling the number on the wedding invite. Asked the person on the phone if they could guarantee adjoining rooms. Was told “yes, you will have 2 adjoining rooms”. Arrived to the property shortly before the wedding and confirmed with front desk that the rooms were adjoining. Unloaded our van and kids and rushed to the rooms to get ready for the wedding only to find out they were not adjoining. Called the front desk (same guy that said they were adjoining) and he said they had already filled at least one room of each of their adjoining options. He offered 15% off. I said we will have to cancel and find another hotel with adjoining rooms as 15% off doesn’t change the fact that our rooms are not connected and they did not provide what they said they would. He then, very rudely told me I should call next time instead of booking online. When I told him I did call, he said he didn’t see any request for adjoining rooms (even though he said, “yes I see the request for adjoining rooms” when I checked in). I’m not sure if he doesn’t understand what adjoining rooms are or if he thought I wouldn’t notice. I was still charged for the entire stay, late to the wedding, and the only “resolution” from AmericInn was a rude email again stating I should call next time.

Avoid this place at ALL costs!
First I must say, we travel A LOT, all over the country and I’ve never had such a bad experience.
They charged us an extra $30 for having a pet, even though it’s a service dog. We have never been charged for her before but they caught on us the fees.
Then they put us in a dirty room with a stain on the floor and we were afraid to complain to the front desk as they already were so rude to us upon check in.
They even called down the supervisor who was even ruder than the front desk staff and they told us we didn’t have to pay the fee if we just left. (We wish we would have!)
There also was a crack in the ceiling light, and dirty shower curtain as well.
At that point, we would have left if we didn’t also have family staying there who were already checked in.
We wanted to spend time in the pool together on Saturday morning but they were cleaning the pool—how can you do that on a weekend when you have families staying there and pools are a reason for people to book with a hotel!
The “hot” free breakfast was mediocre at best, cold and looked and tasted like leftovers.
To make matters worse, they even charged us an extra $20 fee after the fact for the stain that was there when we arrived!!!

Don’t book here, you will regret it.

Room Tip: They will charge extra fees, and they have a 24 hour gaming room that’s really creepy.

The room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The toilet had scummy water in it, and there was dust on everything. There weren't enough outlets to plug in the standing lamp. The shower handle was broken. The staff behind the counter were not wearing masks. The Do Not Disturb sign hanging on the door had "Anal" written on the front and back. The key cards stopped working. The water pressure of the jacuzzi tub in the room was so low it took a LONG time to fill. I will not be returning. Very disappointed.

Since the room was such a low rate, our expectations were not super high. What we did expect was a clean room.

The front desk lady was rude to start. I got a confirmation email stating that check in was 2pm so we arrived shortly after 2. She pointed to a sign that says checking is at 3pm and acted mad that we were there. Not like “oh, sorry for the confusion, the rooms aren’t ready yet, etc.” We would have been fine to wait. I think we got the king room next to the stairway on purpose... especially since the hotel was probably less than 50% booked based on cars in the parking lot overnight.

So we got to our room. There were dirty splash marks on the wall by the sink, pee splatter on the toilet, the bed skirt was visibly dirty - not stained but dirty, there was a piece of pizza under the night stand, and someone else’s melted ice and cup in the ice bucket. I moved the nightstand to access the power outlet and found the pizza. Gross. Additionally, the tv only had 1 channel.

The updates are nice with fresh paint and decor, but the lack of cleanliness was just gross.

We did not enjoy our stay here and most likely will not stay again! The front desk area was a mess! The sheets on our bed had stains on them. We went and bought sheets to put on the bed to sleep. At 12:30 the smoke alarm went off in the main part of the hotel. The picture of the outside of the hotel on Trip Advisor isn’t even the actual hotel. The only positive was the slide in the pool area - the kids liked it, but their was sand on the steps and needed a good cleaning.

We rented a jacuzzi room. When we decided to use it, the water was greenish brown. I reported this to the front desk person. She had never heard of this previously. When she called the owner he said to simply run the water for 5-10 minutes and it would clear up. It is a problem they have had for months. It cleared up but the thought is still disgusting. Our TV had a green line across it. When I checked in the front desk person had to crawl over the counter. And the walls are paper thin. Very disappointing.

There are a few issues with this Lodge!
First - when making a reservation online there is an area for special request, well we used that for this stay. We requested a room on the lower level next to an exit because we were going to have a dog with us. When we arrived, the manager had set us up with a room in the middle of the lower level. What happened to our special request? They were not busy, maybe 6 cars in the parking lot.
Second - they informed us there was going to be a $30.00 fee for the dog. WHAT??? Why were we not made aware of these charges up front? If I would have known when I made the reservation, I would not have stayed there. I do not like being blindsided like this. Asked to speak to the manager, he was not around, they were going to note this on our reservation. When we left this morning manager "Joshua Patel" was not around. We had asked that he call us on this issue. He never did, we had call him back and did get him on the phone and he was very rude and short with us. Is this the way he treats all of his guest? Is he pocketing the additional funds people are paying for pets? Plus, when I called again when I got home, I was informed that we were charged twice! I am not happy.
Last but not least, the room itself was dirty, did not look like it was ever vacuumed, mirrors had all sorts of gunk on them, the shower had so much mold you could have scrapped it off with a putty knife.
You need a new manager at this facility that is pro-active and enjoys communicating with the public. I am very disappointed with our experience at this Whydham.
