filthy, was afraid of damaging already damaged property. air conditioning partially functional. Pool was allegedly and discreetly cleaned, we could have been killed in the meantime. Forgot to use soap when using the washing machine, washing machine didn't do the job properly. my friends were in distress over how to enjoy themselves, they even told me, and I quote, "this place is the embodiment of my grandmother's favourite vase, pretty on the outside, but hollow on the inside." They also said a lot of stuff which would not be polite to mention here. I am a sophisticated and well-mannered gentleman and I will not stoop to such levels though I am sure you can determine what their experience was like.

Rather than saying what was wrong, I'll start off with mentioning what was right, end of discussion. Heat strokes would have been numerous had I not supplied everybody an adequate amount of alcohol. The pool had more dead insects in it than an abandoned nature reserve. Had I known there'd be sufficient protein, I never would have encouraged my friends to cook me raw chicken. It was only my stomach acid which brought the chicken to fruition.

Wouldn't recommend especially if you're a seasoned traveller, my chicken unfortunately wasn't. The only up side of my visit was that air conditions could be used freely, though hardly worked, and the fact that there were no ceiling fans decreased my impulse to hang myself from an appliance implanted on the ceiling. If anything from the above is to be taken personally, I will not take responsibility, I have my own problems and too little time to deal with others.

Arguably, you saved my life. I look forward to hearing from the owner who will undoubtedly compensate for such a negative experience if she ever wishes to see the light of day again. Such threats are to be taken with a pinch of salt, my chicken didn't have any of that either. Thank you for listening to my sob story, stay tuned for chapter 2.

Having Googled B&B in Qala we were directed to Booking.com. For the dates we wanted this property sounded great. The pictures of the rooms and pool really made it look like other similar farm house establishments we have stayed in before in the same village. At this time of year many are full.
.
It would be unfair to say that everything was bad. It's only redeeming feature was we had the most fantastic view of Comino and Malta from our 'delux room'!

Buyer beware. Let me try to explain that this is one of two properties marketed together. This means simply you could end up in either property depending on the type of room and availability at time of booking. The majority of the eye catching pictures are of the sister property next door but one away. Rooms with walk in showers. Clean and spotless pool. Wooden sun lounger etc.

If you are unfortunate and end up in Ta Cetta not quite the same. View great, bedroom quaint but tired, bathroom dirty and a shallow bath rusty in places along with rotten wooden window. The only two electrical sockets air con and bedside lamp. Broken sun lounger. This being a delux room!!

The pool has chipped tiles around the edge where you walked and a line of the mosaic tiles cracked and missing. Only to be bettered by the rust patch on the bottom of the pool.

The photograph shown is of the other pool with nice yellow doors behind it. Our equivalent view was of rows of towels and sheets drying and to cap it all one of the workers clothes and underwire. To add insult to injury it was the only true shaded area by the pool.

There is a cleaning charge but no cleaning done to the room or bathroom during our stay. Only wish there had been a second toilet roll as it would have saved the need to use kitchen roll.

The lighting was so dim that it made it quite dangerous to climb the stairs once you had managed to no fall over entering the unlocked 'at all times' front door. That's because the lights swithch to illuminate the steps down to the front door is inside???

Now for the buyer beware important part. As I said I found this property in the B&B Google search. You may have guessed by now. They don't do food!! Not even tea or coffee. There is a water cooler that they request you pay €1 per day for. Well I say cooler. It's not plugged in!!

Maybe not having breakfast was a good option all things considered.

And don't expect any decent wifi connection in the rooms. All to do with the thick walls?

The only real reason for staying here is its location, views and tranquility. For the same price there are far better places. Even 4* hotels next to the sea that serve breakfast and have friendly staff.

Sorry to say Jade and Michael It's only the view that gets the rating. Maybe looking up the definition of delux might help you revise your totally inadequate description and not having you property associated with B&B establishments stop confusion.

I have photographic evidence should you wish to see them.

I stayed together with my wife in this farmhouse during our stay in Gozo (10 Days Diving holyday).
I was very suprised by the farmhouse. It was very calm, romantic and routic, exactly what I like when i m on a trip.
We stayed in the deluxe room with a double bed, 2 balconies (one with seaview, table and chairs to enjoy the sunset) air conditioning and fly screen.
Cheerful and helpful Staff and a few nice restaurants in the area.
To conclude, we had a very nice stay, and i will definitely book this Farmhouse again for our next holyday in Gozo.

We stayed at Ta Qala farmhouse for one night only. There was no air-conditioning in the room and no insect screen either so couldn't even leave the window open. For this reason I would definitely not recommend this place in the summer time.
