Over all experience was awesome and they had great customer service. Very peaceful and clean. It’s a very business and family oriented. Everyone was very welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was delicious and they have a lot to choose from.

We have stayed in this hotel each time we have travelled to Florida (2013, 2016, 2017) and have booked again for later this year (2020). Although we holiday in Kissimmee for 3 weeks on each occasion, our holiday wouldn't feel complete without spending a couple of nights here. It is the only hotel on Daytona Beach Shores that can truthfully claim a 'beach view for every room'. Not a view where you twist your neck at an awkward angle and just get a glimpse of sea in the distance, but every room, without exception, shares exactly the same view, facing straight at the sea, with only the hotel pool separating the building from the beach. The rooms are of a high standard, the staff are extremely friendly and professional and the free breakfast gets the day of to the perfect start. If you are looking for value for money, the perfect beach view, spacious comfortable rooms, then do not consider anything other than this hotel.

We just stayed 4 nights and were very pleased with the room. The only flaw is that the carpet is fraying where it adjoins the tile. The bathroom was very clean and we could not find any mold or mildew around the caulking inside the tub area which is rare these days. Our room even had a Keurig coffee maker and we had k-cups of coffee and tea on hand. There is a microwave and a mini fridge that worked well also. Each room has a balcony with 2 chairs to sit and view the beach and ocean. The a/c worked well and even has a constant on fan feature. The bed was slightly hard for me but my wife slept very well and had no complaints.
We would like to commend the friendliness of the front desk staff members Millie and Peter. They both were very helpful.
We have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the years and will return again in the future when staying in Daytona Beach Shores.

We drove to Daytona Beach Shores after our cruise from Port Canaveral. Going back in time, all was fine right from the beginning when I emailed Ms. Alice Graham, General Manager, early January, to book directly for 3 days with a points and cash reservation, I received a prompt answer and everything was settled quickly. On January 25th, we arrived early at the Hotel and were greeted by Marcia who allowed us to put our luggage safely in the back office until check-in time. We went shopping and visiting. When we returned around 3:00PM Marcia was terminating her shift and ready to jump in her car. But she recognized us and came back inside to complete our check-in, and this to our entire satisfaction. This is what I call exceeding greatly our expectations. This person is really a dedicated above average employee. We were given a comfortable king room, fully equipped with a fridge, coffee maker, microwave, working table and safety deposit box. I have to mention that we had a nice balcony with a superb view of the ocean. Also, you can even see and hear the waves from your bed. A nice continuation after a cruise. By the way, all the rooms of this Hotel are Ocean Front. The Pool is heated and there is an exercise room. The lounge is very cosy. You can enjoy your complimentary breakfast in a very well organized area, with an ocean view, and it is well taken care of by the attendants. There is a wide variety of very good food, more than you would expect. I especially liked the pancakes and the crisp bacon, not to mention the sausages, pate, veggy or cheese omelets, biscuits and gravy. It was very hard to leave after such a nice stay. The area where the Hotel is located is quiet and safe. Many parking spaces and easy access.
Again thanks to all the member of the staff we dealt with, without having their names. And especially to Marcia, who made a difference, giving me all the information I needed to know, and also answering all my curious questions.:) She is an exceptional person and we will always remember her. Recently I stopped over to take a tour and have lunch at this Holiday Inn. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the resort. After our tour, four of us had lunch in their restaurant. The restaurant was very clean, large & had a beautiful view of the ocean. Pricing was great and the food was even better. Two of us had the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich which was delicious and FRESH. Another person got the Chicken & Waffles & another person ordered the Hunter Chicken. OMG we all had to bring food back with us. I would highly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

My GF and I really enjoyed our time here. Beautiful rooms with balcony ocean front view. Lisa from the front desk helped us with a yummy breakfast every morning! One price of feedback: I would offer cardboard holders for the coffee with breakfast so the hot coffee is safe to travel with.

This was my hubby’s and my third stay at the Daytona Beach Shores Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are all ocean front and as an added bonus from the higher floors you can also see the River (sunset) view outside your room. Rooms are efficiently laid out and includes an in room mini fridge and Keurig Coffee maker. Beds were comfortable. Close to all kinds of restaurants. Ample parking. A big thank you to Tabitha who checked us in and worked with our room request and Lisa who was everywhere making sure that everything looked good. We first saw her in the parking lot cleaning up and then she was inside working hard.

So glad I picked this hotel for several reasons! First, Raven at the front desk was extremely friendly and professional( which I couldn’t believe because she was working alone and it was really busy). We were put on the 5th floor( room 520) and the view was spectacular. Even though all rooms face the ocean, 520 was a really great view! The room and hotel was clean worth every penny!! Housekeeping was very accommodating when we needed towels and very friendly as well! It also didn’t hurt ABC liquor store was only a few seconds down the street. The beach was great! Hardly anyone out there which I LOVED! When we visit again we definitely stay here again! Kudos to you all doing a great job during this pandemic

This hotel is a great place to stay. All rooms are oceanfront which is just what we like. We had a room on the top floor, the king executive king suite. It has a sofa you can relax on when you watch tv, instead of having to sit on the bed. Staff was very friendly. While the breakfast are is now a 'grab and go', they give you as much of what they have as you want. Hot breakfast sandwiches and cinnamon rolls are on on Friday and Saturday. I highly recommend this hotel. I also liked the bath products that were located on the wall of the shower that can be refilled as necessary. Save our planet form all those plastic bottles,

We were forced to get a hotel room during our trip to Fl because my sister found out she had Covid the day of our arrival. We wanted someplace near NSB, so we choose Holiday Inn Express in the shores. Biggest mistake ever. As soon as we opened the door to the room, the musty smell overtook us, but thought once the AC ran awhile would be ok, I sprayed some room freshener I had… it was ok until you would leave the room for a period of time and you’d be hit with it again. There was black mold in the shower. The AC wouldn’t run right at night so it would get warm in the middle of the night… The first day there, I noticed the pool was dark and murky looking, I really wanted to get in, but not the way it looked. I questioned the girl at the desk, she says oh it’s fine, the chemicals checked ok.. I don’t think so, I own a pool and a hot tub. 2 hrs later the pool was roped off and closed for the day!! The elevators didn’t work the whole week we were there.. Got stuck once and some people were stuck for 20 mins and others 45 mins banging on the doors and I know first hand it’s hot in there, the A.C. never worked. My husband had to stand and wait sometimes up to 15 mins for the elevator and he’s handicapped. That is just unacceptable!! Most of the front desk were rude, we weren’t even offered to switch rooms or any credit for all these inconveniences. One day, the girl at the front desk waited on hotel employees before me, a paying guest, even after her supervisor told her to wait on the guest first.. rude!! The floors/ carpet in rooms are filthy, after a shower I forgot to put my Sandals on and my feet were black and had to wash them again. You expect rust on the beach, but not an inch of dust on the rust of the fixtures, clean them!! (Torey) that’s who didn’t clean our room and left mold in the shower. No coffee maker for the breakfast after 6 days of being there I kept expecting one to show up. But when I called there today to ask a question about my bill I’m told the elevator is fixed, new coffee maker everything is fixed now.. Am I expected to believe 2 days after I ck out it all got better??? Please, Please, please do not leave me your generic response because it’s insulting.. if you want to do something ask me to contact you for a credit… btw we stayed at a holiday in Lorton, VA and it had mold in the shower too?? What’s up with IHG. Positive note: the ladies during the breakfast were wonderful… I just feel for the price we paid, expected more, especially for weekend rates of 259.00 for what we got or should I say didn’t get

No difference when it comes to size. Grand will be located between 4th and 8th floors and Premium 9th to 11th floors all the rooms will have balconies with two chairs.

I was there in July and it was a continental breakfast served by a member of staff with each item ripped in cellophane and you were encouraged to take it back to your room to eat.
Items included porridge, bagels, fruit and cereal bars.
Good Question: I didn't actually go on the beach during our stay but there was a concession booth on the beach where I believe you could rent chairs & umbrellas but I don't believe it was operated by the hotel. Hope this was helpful.
There are more places to choose from in the Daytona Beach Shores area.
