Club Med Pragelato-Sestriere offers a picturesque location with commendable ski facilities that attract travelers, though some guests have noted it falls short of being a true ski-in/ski-out property. While the service receives a mixed response due to occasional delays and unresponsiveness, many visitors appreciate the hotel's clean and comfortable rooms. However, concerns have been raised regarding value, with guests calling out additional costs and underwhelming amenities. The atmosphere is seen as a blend of chalet charm and festive activities, but not without its drawbacks, such as loud music and dated areas.

This was our second time at Clubmed Pragelato and we loved it just as much as last year. .
From the accommodation, the food, the skiing and the wonderful staff, we couldn't find anything to complain about.
We were so lucky to have the best snow of the season and bluebird days every day on the slopes!
All the staff go out of their way to make sure guests have the best experience.
The food is first class and the whole atmosphere provides everything you would need for a brilliant ski and apres ski experience
Hugo, the resort manager, goes out of his way to be visible at every opportunity and is very approachable and helpful .
The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and the individual lockers in the ski and boot room are an added bonus.
I can't recommend this resort highly enough and we'll definitely be back again in the future
Well done Clubmed Pragelato !!

2nd year at Pragelato (6th running at ClubMed) for our group of quite 'mature' skiers and although the ski conditions were not as good as last year, the organisation at the resort was top notch. The Head Man was very 'hands on' available all times of day and night. Food was top notch and the drinks seemed to be of higher quality than last year (even though mostly not 'branded' spirits). Copious amounts of Aperol & Campari, which were very pleasant, but unfortunately for the non drinkers, non alcoholic options were quite limited and particularly the non alcoholic beer ran out on the first night and was never re-stocked.
Arrival organisation was much slicker this year with our rooms being allocated immediately on arrival at Turin airport and all baggage dealt with smoothly to the front door of our cottage. No hanging around in long queues this year. Similarly, coach transport from the resort to Sestriere on the first two days when the cable car connection was closed due to high winds, was very efficient.
Food as ever is amazing, both in the resort and at the lunchtime stop on the slopes. We were able to 'reserve' the same ski guide as the previous year, who was excellent in arranging lunches, coach pickups etc as well as taking us to the best places for our level of skiing ability.
This year we rebooked the two storey apartments meaning each person had their own room (although a shared bathroom). These work very well for a group of 'singles', but the only gripe was how poorly the upstairs bedroom and bathroom were lit. There was no light anywhere near the bathroom mirror, making shaving etc a hazardous pursuit.

Have just returned from a weeks ski holiday. Must highly commend the amazing and hard working staff who looked after us throughout the week, in particular their manager Michel who was omnipresent throughout our stay and cheerfully leading the team at all times, (including bidding us farewell this morning at 6am). Standard of accommodation was excellent as was the food and the evening entertainment catered well for all ages from young children to older teenagers.
Our group enjoyed ski school and recommend Francesco as instructor.
It might be helpful to have a clock outside as it’s a bit difficult taking off gloves etc. to check the time!

The location of the hotel and our rooms were great. We stayed in a superior room with balcony away from the main building and it was incredibly comfortable, the beds were big and the room and bathrom were in perfect shape. We got some very good rest over the days we stayed. The skiing facilities and the location of the hotel was also spectacular, and the proceedure to get the equipment to ski and the the lifts was very seamless and smooth. Unfortunately, we arrived at the hotel on a bad weather day, and they were not prepared for this which is weird because they are a snow/mountain hotel. We waited 3 hours for our lugagges to get to our room after our arrival, and there was nothing to do, the hotel didnt provide any information on activites that were being offered on that day (which we found out later that they indeed offered). The gym and the pool are quite small given the size of the resort. The bar, the reception and the main buffet area need a serious update as they are dark, the furniture is in bad shape, and the rooms look like they are misplaced. I also do not recommend the restaurant they have in-house called 'La Tratorria' the food there was quite bad, the tagliata was hard and the tortelinis were cold and tasteless. The buffet food was much better. The hotel is also a family hotel, so expect to see many kids and families. Finally, one of the receptionist called 'Marie' was very kind, and quick to resolve any problems or questions we had, so we were happy we encoutered her on our trip. Overall for the price you pay, you expect the hotel to pay closer attention to detail.

Dear Namina123, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your stay. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the hotel's location, the quality of the room, and the ski facilities. However, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you faced during your arrival in bad weather. We understand the importance of clear communication and swift solutions in such situations, and we will review our procedures to ensure this does not happen again. We are also sorry to learn that certain aspects of our facilities, such as the gym and the pool, did not meet your expectations in terms of size. Your comments regarding the needed renovation of the bar, reception, and main buffet area are duly noted, and we will take steps to improve these spaces. Regarding the Trattoria, we regret that your dining experience did not meet your expectations. We will investigate the specific issues mentioned to enhance the quality of our dishes. We take all your suggestions seriously and will strive to pay greater attention to details in the future. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide an enhanced experience. Notwithstanding a couple of days that some lifts were shut down to to high winds, skiing and snow conditions were great across expansive terrain that was perfect for us as intermediate skiers. Skiing to and from France was a highlight, though made for a very fast paced day on the slopes. Would arrange for a cab home from Mont Genevre next time to have more time skiing in France.

Accommodation was very comfortable despite thin-ish walls. Food was also good, particularly if you focus on Italian specialties like pizza, pasta, gelato, etc. Wine was plentiful and drinkable, which is our standard for an all inclusive.

Ski rentals and guides (we only used a guide for a few days) were well administered and professional.

Shout outs to bar staff, Gigi the ski guide and Fabio the fitness/stretching/yoga/Pilates/dance class leader. The staff here work hard for their money.

The Pragelato resort is great for Skiing. There's a teleferique right in the Club med Village, and it takes you to the mountain, unless it's very windy. If windy, then busses take you. Great ski school, and a wonderful place to ski, though less snow usually than further north.

The resort is made of small cabins, with 4 or so rooms per. You might not be close to friends, if they are staying at the same resort, but it's all within 10 minute walk. Spa is in a larger cabin, as are the main areas. Main food is buffet style (like other club meds), and I found the quality was ok, less than the Chamonix club med. Italian food, in particular, was disappointing. Breakfast is good. The fondue restaurant was not that good, but the Italian tratorria was excellent.

While couples and adult friends are there, there's a huge number of families and kids running around. Much more family oriented than adult.

Comparing to Club Med Val Thorens and Val D’Isere

Pros of Club Med Pragelato:
Great skiing, almost ski-in ski-out
Great arrival and departure experience
Great staff
Rooms good overall (nothing fancy but completely adequate and clean)
Spa very good

Cons:
Food quality less when compared to some French resorts (Val thorens or val disere). Pasta was hard (not just al dente) on several occasions. Pizza delish.
Resort is relatively isolated. Nearest town of Sestriere cost eur50 for our group of friends each way.
Resort is geared designed for families, not designed for a group of guys/friends.

Overall,
We had a great time and did not regret our visit. The chief of village
and the rest of the staff worked very hard to make us feel welcome.
Thank you.
We look forward to trying another -
our 4th club med European ski resort next year.

I have been travelling to clubmed for few years and I have gone to Les Arc twice. Compare to that the Sestriere place had following issues. Firstly It is not ski in/out. you have to take the ski off and go over a bridge and walk to resort and then take the ski down 20 steps to the locker. Imagine you have two children and this task is not easy. Secondly, due to over booking we had to queue for 45 min everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner ( I was very annoyed after second day). the staff could not do anything, that makes it more frustrating. Thirdly they did not clean our rooms for two days and every time I asked the recieption they were apologetic but it meant I had to wait for an hour outside after all day skiing for them to clean the rooms. Fourtly the food and restaurant was not the best. if you like seafood then you might be ok but since we were not sea food eater we didn't enjoy the food. Can't wait to go back and try McDonald.!! Finally the swimming pool water was clod and spa too small for so many families. Skiing was fantastic but Will not go to the hotel again..

I have stayed numerous times now with club med, so I am familiar with the normal exceptional level of service & I am actually quite disappointed.

I have various complaints which I am actually quite unhappy about. Which I would like now to bring to your attention.

On the night of the 10th / 11th of January at 12.30am someone broke into my bedroom whilst I was sleeping, Via the rear patio door to my bedroom. This woke me from my sleep. I think because I woke it startled them. I am actually fairly certain no malice was intended as I herd english voices and they were probably only looking for a friends bedroom.

I reported the incident to your reception and requested that they fix my patio door to my bedroom as the locking mechanism to the door is very hard to securely lock the door. ( This has not been actioned to date)

On the 12th of January when I returned from skiing late afternoon I found that my suit case, which I keep under the TV table had been pulled out and the contents had been disturbed. After checking, thankfully nothing had been taken.

11, 12, 13, Jan, The towel which I left on my radiator in the bedroom from the morning shower had been removed by the cleaners. However it was not replaced so we are now on our last towels.

11, 12,13,14, Jan, No replacement / replenish of bottled water or coffee sachets to the rooms.

14th January. Main Bar, My fellow travelling companion, was quite put out whilst ordering drinks for the group when the Bar man, bluntly said to him why could he not order all the drinks at once for the party rather than a couple at a time. This was extremely rude and upsetting for my friend as his memory is not fantastic due to early dementia.

14 January - Main Resturant. After having a fantastic starter and main course, I went to get desert. Miniature cakes had been put out on one of the food displays. I selected a couple of cakes and put them on my plate. The lady behind the counter then, extremely rudely & angrily spoke to me telling me to put them back. I was quite taken a back as I had absolutely no idea what she was going on about to begin with. She said it was Covid related and that she had to put the cakes on my plate. No clear instructions were visible on how you go about selecting the cakes and I do not appreciate being spoken to like this. I decided to put all the cakes on the counter and go without.

I am sorry to have to write this email but I am actually extremely pissed off, due to this evenings & the weeks events.

I also requested the Club Med email address from reception & the address I was given, send an automatic reply to say the village is closing and no emails will be read.!

We had an excellent holidays despite our luggage being lost by the airline and, although we had not arranged travel through Club Med, your transport manager was wonderful in getting information from the airline for us when we ourselves were not able to.

We did have to buy a lot of kit to be able to ski and, myself being a 2XL guy, found choices limited the boutique but we did get there in the end and I'm very happy with the purchases we made.

We very much enjoyed the calmer,Trattoria Bar and restaurant to the main bar and restaurant, but the quality of both were excellent.

This was our first Club Med skiing experience and I honestly think it's the way to go. The skis were ready for us in our locker upon arrival, arranging lessons was easy and our ski pass was given to us along with the room key. It couldn't have been easier.

Thank you so much. We felt thoroughly looked after and came away feeling rested, refreshed and ready to get back to it!

Hi As far as I’m aware there isn’t. We had a look before we arrived and couldn’t find anywhere so had to use club med. you can go into Sestriere but the cab cost us €45 each way - club med run a bus but not at weekends. Might be worth asking club med what your options are if they’ve run out Hope this helps

If you've booked flights with Club Med, the shuttle is both ways - to the resort at the start of the holiday and to the airport at the end.

"good" is a question of taste. They have a show, for me dominated by loud music, which means I didn't stay there. No, there is no village with any night life nearby.
