Enjoying magnificent mountain views, Cortijo La Presa is a traditional Spanish farmhouse that has been converted into seven holiday cottages and apartments. With its peaceful location, large swimming pool, sunny patio, restaurant, children's play area and BBQs, Cortijo La Presa is the perfect vacation destination for couples, families and groups. All our apartments are fully equipped for self-catering, and breakfast is served daily, making the cortijo a great alternative to hotel or bed and breakfast accommodation. Walking and mountain biking trails lead straight from the property through the olive groves for guests who wish to explore the stunning mountains of the Sierras Subbeticas. A wide range of other activities is available locally, including horse riding, kayaking and fishing. Cortijo La Presa is located in the very heart of Andalusia, with the great cities of Cordoba, Granada, Seville, Malaga and Jaen all within easy driving distance. Even closer are Lake Iznajar, the largest in Andalusia which has its own sandy beach, and beautiful historic towns such as Antequera and Priego de Cordoba. The region is renowned for the quality of its olive oil and other products such as anis liqueur from Rute. Each cottage or apartment has a full kitchen with dining area, and a lounge with log fire. Five of the two-bedroom units have two bathrooms; some also have an additional downstairs WC. One of the two-bedroom cottages has been adapted for disabled access; please contact us for further details. Free wifi is available throughout the property. Groups are also welcome; please contact us for a quote on bookings of two or more apartments. Extra beds and cots are available at additional cost; please contact us to arrange.

12 adults and 15 children came here and spread over 7 apartments and a laundry set around a gated courtyard with tables chairs parasols. Just out the gates on the way to the pool there was a fab outdoor shaded seating dining area with 4 built BBQs and a fridge this is where we ate most of our meals. Then up a slight shingle covered hill was the pool first area was quite uneaven and rocky but had sun loungers and fixed parasols. Leading to the pool the views from here was amazing just mountains covered in Olive trees there was a lovely breeze. Underneath was toilets then just below was the kids park. It was all ours to ourselves loud music kids didnt need to be quiet no saving sunbeds perfect there was a spanish couple lived on site but was very discreat and helpful if needed. A car is a must as your in middle of nowhere. Apartments was lovely and well equiped but a bit dark for me. Wasps a nuisence but cant help that. all in we had a fantastic holiday.

After my first visit, I booked the whole Cortijo for my daughters wedding ceremony. We stayed here for a week with family and friends and what a week it was! The place is just stunning, beautiful views over the olive groves, quiet, but near to towns for shopping. I would like to thank all the people who helped with the preparations, Jonathan and Claire, Carmen and Isadoro, Carmen and Antonio and Jorge Delgado (who provided the catering and other incidentals for the wedding day) . Nothing was too much trouble, everyone who came had a wonderful time. We had BBQ's, swam in the pool, and the Wedding day itself went like a dream. Antonio took several of the group for a hike up a mountain which was also enjoyed by all, while Claire gave a group of us a Gong Bath, which helped us relax after the wedding. This place is just the perfect spot for an occasion like this, and I would highly recommend it if you want a wedding in beautiful surroundings. The apartments are spacious and clean, the laundry was handy, and we all felt relaxed and well looked after. Thank you to all involved in making sure this was the best week ever.

Wow what a stunning location! We have stayed here a week for a friends wedding and Cortijo La Presa was a great location for it. Very welcoming and friendly, with staff who would go out of their way to help you. The swimming pool was freezing, but once you got in it was okay! Only improvement would be better wifi!

We booked the whole Cortijo for a long weekend birthday celebration. From the start Jonathan was great on the communications, answering any questions and providing feedback whenever needed which made the whole process very easy. Arrival at the Cortijo made for a great sight. The setting is beautiful, Olive trees all around and great views. Each apartment is perfect, clean and roomy with plenty of amenities. The pool area got a lot of attention from us and was a perfect temperature and depth. The BBQ area was great as well and we sat under the vines one night for a nice bbq meal. The house keepers Carmen and Antonio were amazing. As per other reviews they weren't in the way but were always there when needed, very helpful and always with a smile on their face. We didn't end up venturing too far from the villa as the pool was too inviting, but the small towns were close enough for supermarkets and exploring. An all round great weekend and perfect escape from the hustle and bustle.

We have just spent 3 days & nights here and the place is amazing, from arriving to leaving we could not have been happier, the accomodation is typically rural Spanish cottages around the prettiest courtyard you will ever see. Kitchens & bathrooms are well equiped and spotless. The hosts, Jonathan, Antonio & Carmen cannot do enough for you to enhance your stay. This is a self-catering establishment but with a huge BBQ area and a small shop for essentials so do not expect fine dining, although breakfast is available and as I understand, larger parties can be catered for meals wise. The views from this property are amazing, lots of lovely villages and towns close by, roads are quiet making driving a pleasure. If you don't visit this place you are missing out !!
