We arrived late in the day after a hard day cycling from Cordoba. Lovely hosts. Offered to cook for us. They told us about a big festival going on in town, just a 10 minute walk away. We would never have known about the festival. One of the best experiences of our trip. Nice hotel. Has full bar.
Unbeknown to us the Spanish summer ends on 6th September so when we arrived on 22nd September the pool was closed but not drained and a green slime was floating across it A potential danger to young children--it would be very difficult to see if any child had fallen in. In general the hotel looked rather tired and a bit shabby. Our room was clean and quite basic with a small balcony overlooking the mosquito- breeding pool. Breakfast was typically Spanish- coffee, orange juice and tostada. On the plus side it was a 15 minute walk up the hill on a quiet track to Prigo de Cordoba. Well worth a visit and lovely to amble around in the evening when the town seems to turn out for their paseo.
