Demitri and his team added a personal touch that we have never experienced before in any other hotel.
It's a small hotel, on the main road into Nydri. We only stayed for 3 nights as a short getaway, which was ideal. It's an ideal place to get away and simply relax.
From the moment we arrived, we had such a warm welcome from Demitri, who looked after all of the guests throughout their stay and he always seemed to be on hand, no matter the day or time! You can tell that they work so hard during the summer months to make this hotel the success it is. You simply will not get the same level of personal attention in a bigger hotel or resort.
The pool was quiet, surrounded by trees and wildlife, with an amazing view of the sea. The breakfast was as expected (some hot items along with continental options) and you can help yourself so have much or as little as you like. The bar snacks are made to order, with drinks and a selection of smoothies available. The greek salad was very nice.
If you need any help or advice, Demitri is not too far away and will help give local advice on where to go and what to do.
We didn't hire a car, and 'winged it' by flying in not sure how we would get to the Hotel. There is a public bus but it's quite limited for it's times from the airport to Nydri. There is a stop near to the hotel (as indicated by a small bus stop sign) but we never used it. We ended up getting a taxi to the hotel from the airport for 65 euro and took the odd taxi to Nydri for 10 euro each way. It was easier, cheaper and a stress free option for a short stay. Reception can order you a taxi. There is also an app the local taxis use called Taxaki. Taxis are readily available at the taxi rank in Nydri so it's all very easy to get around as long as you factor this cost into the stay. There was a lot of parking available at the hotel if you did choose to rent a car, which is what we would have done if staying any longer.
You can also walk to a beach about 30 minutes towards Nydri, there isn't a pavement so it's a bit interesting at times when walking, but it is doable if you are very careful. It's worth visiting if you can (very quiet and not somewhere which is very well publicised). You can park on the side of the road if renting a car.
Rooms were clean, air con could be adjusted very easily and ice cold. Bed and pillows fine. No bath, but shower nice.
All in all, an outstanding hotel made extra special by the personal service provided by the very small team running the hotel.

Had a wonderful 10 night stay at the Aliki on this beautiful island.
The team at the hotel could not do enough for you and went out of their way to make sure you stay/holiday was fantastic from start to finish.
The hotel has such incredible views from the pool/ bar area to the rooftop. The rooms are spacious and kept spotless.
I really can’t recommend this hotel enough you arrive as guests and leave as friends.
As other reviews say it is a way from the hustle and bustle of Nydri and Lefkada town but easily reachable by the bus that drops you off nearly outside the door. We walked into Nydri a couple of times in the mornings and although there are very limited pavements it was safe and downhill most of the way taking about an hour, and you can enjoy those incredible views all the way down.
Taverna Minas is a 8 minute walk from the hotel and very popular with the locals which says it all!! We had a couple of lovely meals there and the service was excellent. We also loved eating by the sea at the small quiet port of Nikiana which is also on the bus route to Lefkada town. and takes about 10 mins. Do as we use to do most days and stay out all day and eat before returning to the hotel early evening.
I also recommend hiring a car which any of the ladies on the front desk will organise for you. Visit the rest of the island and enjoy its beauty. If you stay on the main roads driving is so easy. We went right down to the cape where the lighthouse is and enjoyed a lovely meal at the fishing village of Syvros. There is a nice small beach at Desimi in between Nydri and Syvros
Do visit the beaches on the West coast as well. Porto Katsiki is the most famous. I personally was not keen on this beach as it was far to busy and the sea was incredibly rough on the day we went and very dangerous to get in and out of. I am a strong swimmer but struggled. The cliffs are very high there so a lot of steps to climb down and then of course to climb back. The beach is closed off in parts as there are continually parts of the cliff falling down. I found this beach quite claustrophobic. However just to stand at the top and to see the colour of sea and landscape is worth a visit, but don’t pay the 10€ to pay to park if you can help it.
Lefkada town worth a visit to have a wander, a meal and to look at the boats. We also was told about a beach near the floating bridge where all the locals go. We loved this beach although pebbly and not many facilities it was great. There is also a cafe in walking distance and right by the bridge so on the hour it closes to allow the boats through and interesting to watch.
So after our days out we always looked forward to coming back to the Aliki hotel, to enjoy a drink at the bar before bed time. For us the hotel was perfect and we enjoyed not being in the hustle and bustle of Nydri or Lefkada town.
If you want a small hotel with superb views in a peaceful location and that personal touch with people that care you are having a lovely time then this is the hotel for you.
Thank you to the Aliki hotel and Lefkada ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

An ultra warm welcome with a smile and good humor! The room is spacious, clean. The swimming pool is magnificent with a sublime view… be careful in a while, the view will be much less beautiful with all the trees growing right in front. On the other hand, the hotel is noisy, there are tiles in the rooms and corridors and you can clearly hear people in the room above walking or dropping objects. Dogs nearby howl in the middle of the night (the hotel has nothing to do with it but it makes the stay less pleasant) and heavy traffic from early in the morning. The breakfast is not great.

From a four star hotel you expect sooooo much more. Poorly maintained rooms, poor hygiene, almost non-existent room cleaning, we were even left dirty cups for two days. Non-paying insects sleeping next to you, like ants and geckos. Dated structure with elevator malfunctioning. Sink the size of a caravan. Marble floors from the early 1930s. Last but not least: they tried to charge us two cappuccinos never requested. The price paid per night not proportionate to the service and type of structure. Only positive note the terrace and the panoramic view.

This is a small beautiful hotel with stunning views from the roof top terrace. It is located near the beautiful port of Nikiana. The rooms are nice with nothing fancy but quite comfortable. The entire team at the hotel are very friendly and go out of their way to assist you.If you do stay at this hotel, please do tap into their wealth of expertise for places to eat and things to do.We stayed in room 15 from 04th-09th September with a garden view which was very nice.If you do prefer a sea facing view, book early as there are only a few rooms.Dimitris the manager does an excellent job of running the hotel which is reflected in the way the entire team serve the guests. The service at this hotel is charming, friendly and full of warmth.A true home away from home experience. The Reception Team made up of 2 Christinas, Chrissa, and Hilary are ever so helpful with just about anything, even for restaurant booking for almost fully booked restaurants, lending us beach umbrellas, and simply their smiles to greet you when you come back after a long beautiful day from the beach or after a sumptuous dinner, they would just make you feel at home with simple catch up chats and of course their restaurant recommendations are simply gold. Giannis would never fail to greet you with his bright smile when you go down for breakfast and always ever so helpful as well. Grigoris makes amazing drink and takes fabulous photos being one of his hobbies and of course Dimitris, what a wonderful kind character, just always so friendly and down to earth with engaging conversations, always adding a twist to our itineraries to ensure we get the best out of them. Hotel Aliki does really have a great team. We rented a car at the airport as advised by the hotel and took in the amazing sights this island has to offer. Egremni was a bit of a trek and challenging on the way back but the beautiful turquoise waters more than made up for it,beware of the waves though as we found it a bit rough. Enjoyed swimming in Porto Katsiki which was beautiful.Vasiliki beach was sandy, easier to swim but waters are more for kite surfers.Driving in the mountains was exhilarating and we certainly enjoyed some breathtaking views and some challenging roads. Lefkada town was nicer in our opinion compared to Nidri but most of all we loved the Port of Nikiana. You can also swim there at the beach. We also visited Agios Nikitas which is pretty. On our last day before heading to the airport,we drove to Parga which was recommended by Dimitris and we had a lovely time there.Thank you Dimitris, Hilary, Christina, Chrissa, Christina again, Grigoris, Giannis and the entire Aliki team(some names we don't know) including the housekeeping team who made our stay very memorable. If you do visit Nikiana,do consider this hotel and hopefully you enjoy it as much as we did!

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at the Aliki Hotel in Lefkada. What a lovely hotel the Aliki Hotel is, one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Dimitri and all his staff were amazing, they were so friendly and helpful! I would definately recommend getting a room with a sea view, as the views are absolutely stunning. The hotel is well situated, just 3 or 4 miles away from the resort of Nidri. Lefkada Town is in the opposite direction and is approximately a 30 minute drive away. We used the local bus service to travel along the east side of the island, which was very good. The bus stop is only a two minute walk away (opposite the sunrise hotel) and the buses run regularly. We used one of the bus timetables provided by the hotel reception which was really helpful! Thank you again to Dimitri and all his staff for making our holiday so enjoyable and thank you for my birthday cake and singing Happy Birthday to me Dimitri!!! Don’t give up the day job 😂😂😂. We would definitely recommend the Aliki Hotel. Thank you

Spent the first week in July at this quality hotel. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Dimitri the manager has an excellent team of employees and no request is too much trouble for them. Paid for a sea view and was a bit disappointed we didn’t get a front room over looking the pool. However the side sea view was pretty good and it didn’t get hit with the sun all day, like the front rooms. Food in hotel was excellent and very reasonably priced. The views over the Ionian Sea will live long in the memory. Rooms and all areas of hotel spotlessly clean. Decent Greek restaurant 500 yards up the road if you don’t fancy paying 10 euros every night to get into Nidri or Nikiana. Special mention to Yanis and Gregory who ran the bar. Also to front of house in reception Christine, Christa and Hilary . Not forgetting the cleaning staff who kept the place spotless. All staff very happy to recommend restaurants and places to visit during your stay, they will organise taxis as well. If you enjoy relaxing in the sunshine this is the place for you. Full credit to Dimitri and his hard working staff for making our holiday such a special time. Will definitely return next year.

The hotel has stunning views, but not all rooms offer this. The rooms are standard, outdated and air con is weirdly located in the room and inadequate. Tea making facilities, only had a kettle without cups. The shower was excellent. Breakfast very bland, same things everyday. The pool is great, but sunbeds are uncomfortable and need replacing, not the same beds in photos. The hotel is not a 4 star rating, it needs updating. On a plus side the staff are lovely and helpful. You will need a car to get anywhere as walking is not a option.

Location is stunning, with wonderful views over the sea; an ideal base for a few days. The room was very clean with everything you need. The complimentary breakfast was lovely (pastries, both sweet and savoury, tea, coffee, juice, eggs, bacon, toast, ham, cheese, tomato, etc etc) and was plentiful, even if you came down at 10am. The staff are amazing, helping to book taxi, sort car hire, etc. Very friendly people. The pool area is lovely, again very clean, with great views. There is also a roof terrace chill out. There is no shop and hardly any restaurants within walking distance, but we had a car for a couple of days to explore, so that was no problem. Nidri is nearby, and very commercialised and touristy, lacking in any charm!

With the year we have had we did think that our much longed for holiday may be cancelled but it was not. From arriving at the Aliki we could see why the other reviews were so positive we got such a warm welcome even though it was close to midnight. When we awoke the next morning the view took our breath away it was even better than the pictures. Practically 360 degrees of sea views The room was fabulous very spacious and spotlessly clean. When we met Inga and Costas we knew we had made the right choice. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel like family as the owners they do not normally manage the hotel day to day. We were solicit to have met them and will definitely be back. Breakfast was varied and plentiful and according to Costas not their normal offering due to Covid. I cannot think of what else we would need! All the staff were so helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make your stay a good one. Hire a car the island is so beautiful and easy to get around No tacky resorts just beautiful villages and tasteful town Thank you to everyone. We have fallen in love with Lefkada and the Aliki Hotel Maggie & Andy
