We stayed here for 2 nights in July after our travel plans were impacted by a flight cancellation. We booked the hotel last minute before leaving the UK and were not disappointed. Around a 40 minute drive from the airport, the hotel is located on the main road just outside of Nikiana. It is a modern, 4 star, beautifully designed boutique hotel with lots of personal touches and art work. Conveniently located for Lefkada town it is also within walking distance of three beaches and the port at Nikiana. Our room on the first floor was modern, clean and beautifully designed with air con, a mini bar, and a small terrace with chairs and a table. The free wi-fi was good with several routers for each floor. Our king size bed was super comfy and whilst our room faced the main road we were not disturbed by the traffic. The owner, Dido, provided a comprehensive explanation of everything on arrival in perfect English and was really helpful in providing directions and organising taxis for us during our stay. Breakfast was a rich Greek style buffet style with a very extensive choice including eggs cooked to order, fruit, yoghurt, Greek pies, pastries, cereals, cold meats and cheeses. Episkopos beach is an easy walk across the road and we loved the K Bar which had beds and shade for €10. The bakery next door is excellent and really cheap. The port is around a 15 minute walk and has a great choice of restaurants and bars with al fresco dining by the sea.
We loved our stay here and the location was just perfect for a short break. Thank you Dido and George for such a warm welcome, being such great hosts and for looking after us. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay again.

I stayed here whilst I worked and honestly one of the most friendly and accommodating families who own it. Dido always made sure the food was good - The food is exceptional and tailored to taste. I miss it already! Great spacious room very clean and airy.
I really enjoyed it all! It is a good distance from town and beach.

My stay was simply wonderful! The location is extremely central, making it convenient for exploring the island. The room exceeded my expectations with all the amenities one could wish for, and let's talk about the bed with a mattress you don't want to part with. Breakfast offered a rich variety, and the best part was that I could choose whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. All in all, a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Our family had a reservation for 10 days in this small hotel, pretending to be “boutique, adults only, with a restaurant and spa”.
All this is partly true, being very small- in all senses.
The building is on the road, there is noise permanently, the restaurant and the “pool for exercises” etc.are symbolic.
Photos are far from reality.
There aren’t good beaches snd restaurants mearby, only by car, rather on the opposite part of the island,a serious distance snd travel.
The worst part is the behaviour and attitude of the woman, owner of the hotel.
In fact,it’s a family team,with a cleaner.
For unknown reasons this wonan-the owner is in visibly bad mood all the time, nervous shouting often, which everybody hears all over the small space.
A smile or professional attitude-forget!
And that was all these 10 days,as if the service snd the accommodation is not paid /quite well for what it is/ or something is wrong non stop.First time in so many travels and experience, we met such a person/owner?!, destroying the whole atmosphere and impression.
Small and stupid “wars” for everything with this woman, during prepaid holidays?!
What has this to do with the policy of a small, luxury hotel, with the Greek hospitality and quality of service,of the traditional high level of tourism ,of the well known pleasure of being and enjoying in this lovely coutry,in which we have been almost everywhere, more than 20 years?
We don’t recommend Thomais boutique hotel for a pleasant vacation in Lefkada.

Response from SPYRIDOYLA MANOLITSI, Ιδιοκτήτης at Thomais Boutique Hotel
Responded 5 Sept 2021
The lack of travel culture and “savoir vivre” fills you with malice and indignity. The hotel is certified 4star and boutique by the Greek state. Yes it is a family business with 5 scientists of the family and staff of specialties (maid, cook) to serve the guests. The photos are very real, recently in February of 2021, received an award at 100% hotel show. The restaurant with greek creative cuisine offers premium products and wines that have selected by sommelier. The aqua gym is something unique for those who know it. You have an opinion for both without you have visited them. The reality between us is the financial difference and the concealment and the non-acceptance of the damage that you caused to the room. The owner became bad when she showed you the damage from cosmetic body oil that you made on the headboard which is a pressed cement mortar and must be removed and made from the beginning by a special craftsman. The owner became twice bad when during your departure she asked you to pay for the two glasses of wine that you ordered from the wine list and you had seen their price but you wanted from her to give them to you as a gift (free of charge). 99% of the guests are decent, they inform us about the damages, pay them and they pay what they order as well. I can prove everything I mentioned before with evidence while you write words of malice. I feel sorry for you..

We preferred this particular hotel, because apart from being very beautiful, it is only 5km from the town of Lefkada. Also, the road network of the island is excellent so that you can reach all famous and non-famous beaches with ease.
All areas of the hotel are neat, the service is impeccable, the service level is very good, there is a sense of luxury.
It is a family hotel, they are all polite, friendly, helpful, willing to direct you and give you the necessary information about everything. They are distinguished by professionalism.
The room was spotlessly clean, cool, modernly decorated, with a very good mattress.
The breakfast was rich with a very wide variety and nice flavors and could satisfy all tastes.
We will prefer it again

Great experience in Lefkada! Everything you can expect from a boutique hotel: small, expertly renovated, clean, refined, comfortable, with pleasant family management.
Large rooms, super comfortable mattresses and pillows, all the comforts and authentic 'Greekness'. The location between Lefkada and Nidri is excellent, the only disadvantage is that the sea view rooms overlook the main road of the island, which is very busy (perhaps the internal rooms are better?). However the new fixtures do their job!
Excellent breakfast, all home made, Mr.'s jams are super. George.
If I return to Lefkada I will know where to go!

Beautiful boutique hotel with exquisite decor, showing attention to every detail. Our room was on the smaller side, especially the shower, but equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. There is air conditioning or heating, depending on the season. The hotel is conveniently located near several beaches and a variety of restaurants, especially during high season. If you visit in November, as we did, it’s necessary to go to the center of Lefkada for more dining options.
During high season, breakfast is a buffet, while in low season it’s à la carte, with selections made the night before. Nonetheless, the food is plentiful, and we were able to choose as many options as we wanted. Everything was delicious. It’s a family-run hotel, and the hosts were very friendly, helpful, and gave us great recommendations to explore the island. In front of the hotel, there’s a small pool with a hot tub, though it was no longer in use during our visit.

After two weeks on a sailing boat I needed a decent nights sleep before flying home. This is such a lovely hotel. I would highly recommend it. It is totally Covid friendly very very safe, so clean, the rooms are really squeaky clean , the breakfast served professionally . Simply delicious breakfast which you order the night before. It is the best safest place to stay. Thank you.
