We stayed at the Luz Beach Apartments for 10 days in June 2022. The location is perfect, just a few meters from the beach. The complex consists of 20 small apartments arranged in 2 rows. We had our apartment in the back row, so we had less noise pollution from the beach guests and locals. The two-story small apartment has a bedroom, bathroom, terrace, a furnished kitchenette and a living room with a small balcony. The rooms were clean and adequately equipped. Communication was smooth. You are right on the beach promenade, and the supermarkets and some restaurants are not far away. The only drawback is the availability of parking spaces; there are a number of parking spaces at the house, but these are also available to beach guests.

We had a wonderful week at the Luz Beach apartments. It was a family trip spanning all ages. The apartments are so well located, close to restaurants and the sea. Claire has thought of absolutely everything, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards etc. My elderly parents in their 80’s were extremely well cared for and had a studio apartment with views over the sea. I would 100% recommend staying here and we have already booked in again for next year!

Had lovely week here. View from balcony over beach is splendid and apartment has everything you need. Spacious, well appointed and well maintained. Upper floor with balcony consists of kitchen and sitting room with tv and Wi-Fi. Downstairs has bathroom and bedroom with enormous bed and effective air conditioning. Shower above bath a little difficult to use and sunken terrace outside bedroom with no views somewhat redundant. Staff helpful and pleasant and provided excellent food/drink package on arrival. Major down side was constant music from adjacent bar/club which was extremely irritating. We were in an apartment at far end of the complex thus closer to above music and a little longer along corridor to street and down to beach. An apartment closer to reception would be preferable.

A small apartment near the beach. Very clean quite well equipped. Friendly staff very helpful. Wifi tv free. Has a small kitchen area a comfortable bed with good quality bedding a small clean bathroom. Excellent views

Would highly recommend these apartments. Location alone would bring us back here, as near to the beach as you can get! But they don’t rest on their laurels, the apartments are very comfortable and very well equipped. The showers are all new with great water power. These are proper walk in showers, not over baths like you sometimes have in apartments. Beds are so comfortable and roomy. We slept so well here despite the apartments being so central. Restaurants seem to close no later than 11pm and even up to this time, they are not noisy. Kitchenette has everything you would want, I could stay here quite happily for a month, if I could. Plenty books etc., at reception that you can swap with also. Lovely balcony to sit at and watch the world go by, along with listening and watching the waves on this beautiful beach. Claire at reception made our booking so easy. We look forward to going back already!

We really enjoyed our stay at Luz Beach apartments. We had a sea view apartment with view on the beach and the sea. The apartment is very nice. Upstairs you have the living room, and kitchen and terrace. Downstairs the bedroom and the bathroom. Very good airco in the bedroom. We will go back. Had a wonderfull stay.

we had a great stay here - right on the beach - the apartments are basic but very clean the best bit is your balcony which looks straight onto the beautiful luz beach, would definately return the reception was non existent , only once did i see a girl at it and she didnt speak , not overly friendly at all...however this didnt spoil anything for us.. if travelling with a small child, i dont think the balconies would be very safe

We are so glad you enjoyed your holiday with us and appreciated the location. I am very surprised about your comments regarding reception. At the time you stayed, Naomi was working from 9 30 - 5 30 Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. Obvioulsy being a small buisenss of only 20 self catering apartments we are not like a big hotel which can provide 24 hour reception, but we do our best to show a friendly face to our customers. I guess everyone can have an off day! We do suggest to parents that children should remain supervised at all times on the balconies, although we are thinking of in the future putting a childproof guard on the balconies if we get enough demand.

Wonderful location right on the beach. Quiet resort with plenty of good restaurants. We had a one bedroomed front sea view apartment. We had the sound of the sea every morning - bliss!

We had visited Praia da Luz for the day a couple of times but had never stayed in the resort town. Stumbling across the Luz Beach Apartments in May this year we had such a lovely time in such a great spot we decided to return again last week and booked up 8 nights. We managed to get the same Studio Apartment (no.19) we had previously which was great. We had a lovely balcony/patio overlooking the promenade and beautiful beach you can just sit out there and 'people' watch. We slept with the window open and it was great to hear the waves crashing onto the rocks awakening in the morning. Unlike other resorts we had visited in the Algarve (Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo, Villamoura, Carvoeiro, Armacao de Pera, Albufeira and Alvor) Praia da Luz had everything you needed and didn't have to travel far for anything, very relaxing and a beautiful spot. People should not be put off by the distance from Faro Airport because once you get there you will have no regrets. The Luz Beach Apartments and their staff, Claire and Naomi and the cleaning ladies look after really well and nothing is too much bother for them. As well as Studio apartments there are 1 bed and 2 bed apartments to cater for all types of families. We have now made this a regular annual trip. Hope you enjoy as much as we do...

Very good choice to spend such a nice time and get a rest. Apartment was clean, spacious and soo cosy. Felt asleep by hearing the ocean waves and woke up with a view to the sunny Luz Beach. As the apartment has a well equipped kitchenette, you could by anything at the nearest supermarket and have a breakfast or lunch at your own balcony. Look at the photo attached. During the day we spent a great time at nearby beautiful beaches and got back to the lovely apartment where we felt like at home. And you could park your car just next to the apartments. I would be more than happy to stay there on another occasion.

Faro airport is approximately 80kms from Praia da Luz. A private taxi service is €80 each way which we can book for you. There is a train service from Faro city, which is around €8 plus two taxis at around €10 each ride. Alternatively there are airport shuttle buses that charge from €25 per person.
Hi there, not sure if you ever got an answer to this question, we have just been there for a great week. This is not a resort hotel complex. This is a complex of apartments basically facing the ocean with nothing but the walkway between your raised balcony and the sand. No swimming pool or activities from the complex but lots of boat tours available from the vendor huts on the beach. We had a one bedroom apartment, you enter into the kitchen, living room (where balcony is) and dining room space and then go downstairs to the bedroom and bathroom; also a private enclosed terrace off the bedroom. There is a group of restaurants, coffee shops beyond the balcony (you can just see the top of their umbrellas from your balcony) but they close once the sun goes down, we didn't find they were a problem. Not sure if there are two bedrooms available. Lovely unique location. Hope this helps.
