Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the most perfect accommodations we've ever experienced. Furnishings are amazingly gorgeous, as is the entire complex. The staff is incredibly friendly, warm and professional. The kitchen appliances are state-of-the art. It's less than 4 minutes walking to the beach and 8 minutes to the town center. There's also Mia the cat that happened on their doorstep during Covid and greets you at Reception. Bus stop right there to take you to any of the next towns.

Absolutely perfect, wonderful facility, immaculately clean and apartments finished to a very high standard. Personal touches and attention to detail is what makes a holiday, three pools designed for children or family or adults, difficult to beat. Probably one of the best resorts in Portugal, can recommend and will certainly be returning.

Sitting in the apartment with gritted teeth at the moment. Our pool view apartment doesn’t have a pool view, it’s dark, we have to have the lights on all day, the balcony is next to the car-park access road so isn’t private but as it doesn’t get sun it’s too cold to sit on anyway. We’ve no outside space to sit in the sun and there are only sun loungers outside, no chairs and tables, not good for anyone with mobility issues. They’ve offered us a duplex as an upgrade but the marble stairs don’t have a handrail, too dangerous for my wife who has sight issues. They have also offered us a downgrade to a non-poolside apartment which is cheaper but want to charge us over €100 to move!

First I was surprised how big BDL was, we arrived in a lovely 1 bed apartment absolutely spotless and everything you would want. The air con was fantastic. We had a great balcony with lovely garden views.Rooms were cleaned twice a weak with fresh towels provided. Pool areas were quite busy but no problem for loungers. The Allorro restaurant offers great poolside food and drinks. We preferred the beach which was a short 5 min stroll. The Supermarkets are a good walk but have everything you could want.

Beautiful, spacious, well maintained and looked after, Great swimming pools. Close to the beach. The kitchen has everything you need - washing machine, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. Couldn’t ask for anything more - just perfect

Just returned from a wonderful week in Praia Luz. Have been many times but never at Baia da Luz what a pity. Wonderful apartment every conceivable thing to make a great week. From the incredibly well laid out kitchen and a multitude of utensils/glasses. We stayed in a duplex poolside apartment which had the largest bedroom I have ever slept in. Two terraces facing onto the pool and steps down the pools themselves which were kept immaculate. Alloro the onsite restaurant and bar were also terrific. The quality of the food coupled with the wonderful staff made it our favourite place to eat. Only regret was that we were only there for seven days. We enjoyed it so much we intend going back for two weeks in September.

This apart hotel is lovely. My room was basically an apartment with a huge sitting/dining room, large double room and a pretty good kitchen. Initially, I thought the room was a long way from the pool, but actually it was only a couple of minutes walk The kitchen is very well equipped and there are a couple of restaurants 2 to 3 minutes away and the centre of Luz is about five minutes away. There is a bus service, but I didn’t use it. Had a hire car, which was great for seeing some of the more remote areas of the Algarve. I would highly recommend.

Wonderful condo. The staff are very friendly and efficient. If you stay more than a week housekeeping is provided 2 times a week. They have been by more frequently. The room is kept spotlessly clean. It is a well-furnished condo and the kitchen has high quality appliances, dishes and utensils. They even have a washing machine. The patios are large. The condo is spacious and it is in a quiet location. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. 2 pools but one is closed during off season. It is walking distance to Luz where there are restaurants and shops. The restaurant on site Alloro is excellent as is Ondaluz – up from the resort. The only downside would be the underground parking. There is a very steep slope to get into the parking garage about 30 degree . The driveway into the garage is only about 10 ft. wide and there are large concrete walls on each side. It would be difficult with manual transmission. Once inside the garage you have to negotiate concrete pillars to access your parking space. It is a lovely resort and we would highly recommend
