Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Tsilivi Beach Hotel boasts a prime beachfront location that has garnered praise from numerous guests for its proximity to both the beach and local attractions. However, the hotel's service has received mixed feedback, with some guests encountering unprofessional behavior despite encountering friendly staff members.
While the cleanliness of the hotel, particularly the daily room servicing, is often highlighted as a positive aspect, opinions on room quality and maintenance vary. The atmosphere and entertainment offerings are perceived as lackluster, and some guests feel that the value for money, considering the food, drinks, and amenities, falls short of expectations.

Detailed Reviews
Just home from this lovely hotel that sits on the beautiful beach of Tsilivi
What I loved about this hotel is the friendly helpful staff. Suzanne and Margarita at reception are both wonderful. Thank you ladies. Restaurant and Cleaning and waiting staff all equally as friendly and welcoming (Peter and Antonis)
I also appreciated the free Wifi throughout the hotel ( even when on the beach)
The hotel is spotlessly clean, safe and welcoming. My room had air conditioning and a safe ( no extra charge ) a fridge, TV, Kettle with tea and coffee making facilities.
The temperature of the water in my room was temperamental and often tepid sadly but reception took my complaint seriously and did what they could to rectify the situation.
There is an option to watch Netflix TV at a small charge.
Also in the room were slippers and dressing gowns and a hair dryer.
The food in the Restaurant was varied and plentiful with a lot of choices at each sitting.
At very busy times there was a queue at each food station so by the time you had selected your choice of food and retuned to your table your food was often cold.
As a suggestion to the hotel, maybe the plate warmer could rectify this?
There is a microwave oven for guests to use, if required.
As far as pool snacks go, this hotel exceeds all others. A Freshly made Pizza bar, hot dog, kebab and burger bar and a pancake bar. Totally amazing.
The Poolside entertainment Guys were good fun and encouraging ( I preferred to watch ) and the most friendly people.
The grounds are kept spotless and well maintained and the garden areas and trees/plants are well watered.
The on-site massage facility was a huge bonus and with very good prices. Thanks ladies.
I believe the older couple I saw overseeing all that went on in the hotel are in fact the owners and are taking a healthy interest in this lovely well run hotel.
The last constructive comment I would like to add is there are a shortage of lounger mattress’s on the sun beds around the pool. You have to secure these very early or lay on a plank of wood ( which is no use to me )
Would I return? Definitely and I hope my positive comments and positive polite requests are noted
There was a real friendly feel all around this hotel and I’ve met the most fabulous staff and guests on my holiday

We booked a 10 night all inclusive stay through TUI. We wouldn’t normally book all inclusive but this was the only option at this hotel. Staff were lovely and attentive from the moment we arrived.
The hotel is in an excellent location, on the beach front (you can watch the sea from the sun loungers around the pool) and a small walk (5-10minutes) to bars and restaurants.
The restaurant and bar have decent opening hours. The cocktails were lovely.
The food was average. The pool bar served snacks such as gyros, burgers and kebabs but these had sometimes gone a bit stale or cold. The main restaurant attempted theme nights but there was nothing special. The food was edible but certainly nothing to write home about.
The bed in the hotel is firm and the showers are amazing - 2 different shower heads with great pressure and temperatures!
We had booked a partial sea view and we had a balcony that had a beautiful full view of the sea and the other angle over looking the pool.
The hotel is not particularly sound proof so you can hear movements around the corridor - wasn’t too much of a problem for us but bare in mind if you’re a light sleeper.
We booked a tour through the hotels operative to see shipwreck bay and this was an excellent trip including a transfer, rib boat, shipwreck bay, caves (sadly not the blue caves due to the choppy waves) and some jumping off the boat to swim. Great tour although wouldn’t recommend if you have mobility issues.
On our final day we asked reception if we could weigh the suitcases, we were shown a machine that charged €1 per case. We put the first case on and it said 38kg yet in reality at the airport it only weighed 14kg so I wouldn’t waste your money on that.
I would stay at this hotel again and Tsilivi is a lovely place.

The hotel rooms and general areas are good, nicely decorated and newly renovated. The bathrooms are large and we got plenty of towels. Cleaning is good and actually more frequent than what they say (should happen every other day but actually has at least partly happened every day).
I have been taking massage a few times and it’s devine and cheap (35 euros for one hour).
The pool area is also really nice, one large pool and one smaller. The downside is that they do mit have enough sun loungers for the amount of guests which has triggered a system of people waking up at 7 to reserve chairs. They could also improve the pool towel system, there is no information on how and where to change them. It could easily be added to the general information you get when checking in.
Now to the bad part - the food. The food is awful. The choice is limited and it’s the same dishes rotating every day under different names. The theme nights have been all awful and the kids selection are very small. The best dishes have been chicken stews.
The fruit section is ok but need more variety. The sauces for the ice cream ran out our first day and has not been replaced. The restaurant reminds me of a school cantine, it is not at all cosy or nice. Soft drinks are non-branded, there is no ice and the juice has never been in contact with a fruit. For a four star I expect at least real juice. There is no omelette station for breakfast and the show cooking for dinner consists of placing overcooked pasta on a tray. They had one poor guy trying to make fresh orange juice with a family sized juicer for the whole resort. The line was constantly around the full breakfast area.
The pool bar has a selection of drinks and (non-branded) soft drinks. The coffee machine there has not worked since we came 5 days ago.
The best place to get eatable food is the pool side restaurant. The gyros are very good.
In general the staff is nice and speak good English.
Be aware that it is a family hotel so nothing for a romantic vacation. There are kids everywhere.
If they invest more in the food and restaurant the hotel could be very good but as it is now I would not recommend anyone to take all inclusive there.

We spent two weeks at Tsilivi beach hotel in August/September for our friends wedding - On the the positive side the room was decent once the staff had fixed the safe and the door lock ,We had a good view of the pool/sea area and the towels were changed daily.
On the negative side the food was bad I can eat most things but struggled in this place and ate out most nights, the Gyro at the snack bar were ok at lunchtime
The drinks were also not great - drinkable at first but after a couple of days got sick of cheap drink.
A lot of the staff were miserable and unhelpful around the pool bars and slop house - there were some staff who were friendly and helpful mainly the entertainment team ,
Over the road is the Apolis bar also known as the SHUSH bar who are friendly and will stay open as long as you are drinking.
If you go onto the beach turn right walk 5 mins there is a bar called Barracuda which is decent.
there are also plenty of bars & restaurants on the strip to eat and drink at.
If I came back to Zante I defo would do room only or self catering. 🤔

Cons
Rooms in the low numbers (100 to 110, 200 to 210) are above the smoking area so couldn't keep the patio doors open because of the overwhelming smell. Reception wouldn't move us as they were apparently full, but loads of other rooms were clearly not in use.
Air Con is controlled centrally so you have no choice on the temperature.
Maybe because it was end of season, but Bar staff were miserable unless you were a single woman, in which case they perked up for a bit.
All inclusive drinks were the cheap brands and didn't taste that good, we went out a couple of times and even the lager tasted so much better from outside bars.
Never enough crockery and cutlery in the restaurant, had to wait while stuff was washed.
Looky looky guys and local restaurant advertisors were allowed to wander around the pool area advertising and selling which was very annoying.
There was supposedly a rule that you couldn't put towels on beds until 9am, but they didn't enforce it, so unless you are prepared to battle the early morning brigade (one of my pet hates) all the decent poolside beds were gone.
The room safe kept losing the digi code and reception had to come to the room to reset it. Happened 3 times in a week.
Pros
Right on the beach which was sand, shingle and small pebble. Shallow slope into water. Some small water sport shacks on the beach. Had to pay for sun beds on the beach (€8 per day for 2). Shame the hotel hadn't agreed something cheaper or free for guests.
Food variery was good and tasty. Although sometimes wasn't that hot.
Housekeeping were amazing, cleaned the room to a high standard every day.

Booked with FC and required a fridge due to medication, we booked a family room as listed mini fridge but it's actually a cooler. Reception arranged for meds to be in fridge at bar which far from ideal. No rep at hotel and via app not helpful at all
Food awful, buffet all food cold and when complained advised could warm up in microwave. They served roast chicken which was stone cold so no idea when that was cooked.
Lunch time there was no social distancing and many people not wearing masks.
Adv not to put out hotel towels on sunbeds until 9am, but people start putting out from 7 am with the odd ones stulk available after 9am.
Overall not impressed at all and wouldnt recommend staying again.
Appeared that people could pay for day passes hence lunch times being too busy which we didnt like.
Not happy at all with First Choice and there lack of customer care.

We visited as a family late July/early August and got to say the hotel certainly didnt live up to expectations and is no way a 4 star.
Plus points
Friendly staff on the whole. Special mention to the guy running the pool bar in the day who works his socks off in incredible heat, always with a smile on his face.
The location couldn't be beaten and is the biggest plus point of the hotel. So near to town and a beautiful spot directly on the beach.
Now to the negatives.
The food was absolutely awful and is in dire need of a shake up. Same choices every single day and poor poor quality. I will eat/try absolutely anything and even i struggled some days. Dietry requirements forget it. 2 members of our group are Coeliac so need wheat/gluten free food. Specifically emailed the hotel before arriving and assured no problem and to fill out an allergen form on arrival. There were days where all my husband and daughter could eat was rice and salad. My husband asked to check ingredients in a dish one night and was assured it was ok to eat and within 2 hours had a major reaction and had to go straight to bed very poorly.
Cleaning not up to scratch. Reasoning given couldn't do full clean every day because of covid but surely if entering room to empty bins/change towels a quick sweep wouldnt go amiss? Find it unacceptable for a supposed 4 star you have to walk around on a sandy bedroom floor for sometimes 3 days at a time.
Aircon unit in our room was bearly functional. Rather than investing money in a fancy rooftop restaurant that was always empty perhaps would have been better invested in keeping rooms cool?
Lastly the organisation was awful. 3 days before leaving i went to Reception and booked and paid to keep our room later on departure day as late check out. Assured no problem. Night before departure get back to room with a note under door to say contact reception about late checkout. Husband went down to Reception and was informed they couldnt help as had no idea what the note was about and to go back in morning. 9am on departure day another note under the door to contact Reception. Husband went down again to be informed we needed to vacate the room in 2 hours as they needed the room back and we couldn't keep it on! Furious was an understatement. It ruined our last day and morning plans as then frantic rush to pack up the room which we hadnt allowed for.
This hotel has the perfect location and the potentially to be fantastic but unfortunately lots of issues that need addressing. We came home feeling a bit robbed as not a cheap place to stay and certainly did not live up to expectations.

Arrived back from this hotel a couple of days ago and overall had a great time. Tsilivi is a lovely place and generally the hotel is good.
Rooms are spacious enough, comfortable and very clean with a perfectly good AC unit (definitely needed) and the pool and pool area are also very acceptable. We were always able to get sunbeds and the pools were reasonable in size and never too busy.
The location of the hotel is also fantastic with access straight to the beach and a short walk into the main strip in Tsilivi.
However, the food and drink are awful! Soft drinks are a cheap alternative to Coke, Fanta etc. which was disappointing, however, the alcohol was acceptable. The food is what really ruins this hotel however as despite the attempts to offer a variety with themed nights, there is not an awful lot of choice and the quality of the food is abysmal - always cold regardless of how early you were in for the meal, and very often of very low quality which lead to us eating out on many occasions just to escape the food!
Another complaint I would have was that on more than one occasion, one of the ladies behind the reception desk was extremely blunt and rude when I was asking questions. I am unsure whether this is due to a difficulty in communicating in English or if other people have experienced the same rudeness.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to all age groups due to the lovely location and cleanliness of the hotel. However, I would not recommend this hotel for an all inclusive holiday due to the poor quality of food and drink - the extra money you pay is not worth it in my opinion. I feel that half board or self catering would be much better options when staying at this hotel.

We were a family party of 16 and stayed for 7 nights in July 22. Hotel location is fabulous as it opens onto the beautiful beach with crystal clear water. 2 Fabulous pools that were kept perfectly clean. Sunbed dash started about 06:30am although there was always a few Sunbeds available for the later risers. The entertainment team are super friendly especially Renee and we felt they became good friends during our stay. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable, large screenTV in the room with netflix and youtube . Tea and coffee facilities were in the roo. And refilled daily. We were in rooms 415, 416,417, 418 which all had superb views over the pool and sea views. Beach towels could be hired for 10e and changed every 3 days. The only down side was the food which was dreadful. We are not a fussy eating family in any way but even we couldn't find anything barely edible. We ate out at breakfast and evening meal 6 days out of the 7. I can't even describe the food on offer at the hotel as it was so random ie; puree potatoes, puree carrots and puree brussel sprouts and the meat being fully cooked was very hit and miss ! The snack bar throughout the afternoon however was excellent with gyros, burgers, crepes, ice cream etc.. fortunately it is still cheap to eat out in Tsillivi so we didn't starve ! Would we return to this hotel ? We'll YES purely for the superb pools and location but we would definitely eat out !

Before I write any comments you have to realise that a 4 star hotel in Greece is not comparable with 4 star in say Dubai or the Far East. Having said that the hotel was in a great location and clean and we found the staff very professional and helpful especially Suzanna and Margarita who worked at the Front Desk
Food was ok for an All Inclusive resort but we did eat out several nights as there are so many good restaurants/tavernas in easy walking distance.
From a Covid perspective the hotels had very sensible policies but I only wished all the guests adhered to them which was annoying.
If there was one suggestion to the hotel it was to get a better WIFI set up as there was issues on several occasions during a few days of our stay
