Food and service terrific, obviously a well kept secret... Cos no one else was there??
Think it gets missed as its counter business is TAB blah blah and bottle shop, whilst adjoining it closer to town, is a nice little bar and restaurant options
Needs marketing guys....no good sitting on a gold mine, if you are not doing the hard work and mining that there gold
Rog
We had a set menu with a couple of choices of main and desert so hardly a complicated dinner.
The organizing committee got there to set on the day up and were very bluntly told "you have been moved to the Rata room" a cold hall style room on the other side of the building. No explanation, no apology, nothing so they then had to contact all the participants to give them new directions to the room.
Unfortunately it didn't stop there, the meals promised and paid for were nothing like the ones served, hot meals were cold when served (some members couldn't even cut the meat with a steak knife) and the two mains came out 20 minutes apart so half the group had already finished their mains before the other half were served.
I feel really very sorry for the club organizing committee who had worked hard all year to set up this event for the rest of us but were made to look like idiots by the Counties Inn poor management, and poor service.
I and most other members there will be telling the committee "Never Again"
