Nestled in a picturesque setting complete with private beaches and stunning sunsets, Alexandra Beach Thassos Spa Resort is lauded for its spotless cleanliness and well-maintained amenities. The resort's chill vibe and stylish rooms receive high marks, although its atmosphere and music selection have garnered mixed reviews. Guests appreciate the attentive service and find the resort to offer good value, despite occasional slow service and additional fees. While the rooms are spacious and clean, some guests suggest improvements such as the addition of kettles and more storage options.

We stayed in Alexandra Beach Thassos Spa Resort in July 2021.
Rooms:
We had two rooms with shared pool, well worth the extra expense. The rooms were good size, clean and well-appointed with contemporary furniture and comfortable beds. Everything in the room was operational.
Hotel Ground:
Exceptionally well maintained. They have vegetable garden, orchard trees, even a vineyard. The hotel sits on a cliff overlooking the Aegean See. Beautiful sunsets.
Beach:
Private beach for the hotel guests, never crowded. No pressure to buy drinks from the beach bar.
Restaurant:
It can get crowded during busiest hour, but the quality of the service does not decline. Variety of food options, everything was tasty and fresh. They never run out of food selection at the food court, constantly replenished. There were at least two fish selections every days. As usual, the local dishes were the best.
Staff:
Probably the best asset of the hotel. Polite, helpful, unpretentious and hardworking. They all seem to enjoy working there, although I could see they were understaffed sometimes.
Covid-19 measures:
Masks are mandatory indoors. All guests were asked to handle food with plastic gloves. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days, tables and common surfaces sanitized after usage.
In summary, I am glad we chose Alexandra Beach Thassos Spa for our vacation.

Our first visit to Potos and indeed to Thassos and we could not have chosen a nicer hotel. Our room, overlooking the Aegean was beautiful, very large with a nice bathroom and very comfortable bed, free air conditioning was included which was needed as it was extremely warm whilst we were there. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I don't really like to mention Covid measures as I'm frankly a bit sick of hearing about it, but will say a few words for the benefit of others: The rooms are not cleaned every day to avoid uneccessary contact but a daily clean can be requested. Masks are mandatory inside the hotel and also plastic gloves must be worn when serving yourself in the restaurant but that is all; this did not impact on our holiday and it was nice to almost forget about Covid for a while. The hotel is perfectly situated only a 5 minute walk from the village of Potos which has a lovely selection and shops and tavernas. We had a very enjoyable stay and hope to return one day, thank you.

We have just come home after spending a week in this hotel. The hotel is faultless, the staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived at the hotel we checked in and then we were taken to our room in a golf buggy. The room was luxurious, comfortable bed and very contemporary decor. Plenty of space for clothing and a lovely bathroom. It didn’t take very long to settle in! The only thing not provided is a kettle in your room, this didn’t bother us as you could get a drink in the pool bar or hotel taverna. You can request beach towels at the cost of 1 euro per week.

The hotel is half board, the food was amazing. Plenty of variations to choose from. We love fresh fish and this was not a disappointment from sea bass to sea bream they had it. What can I say the desserts were amazing, I couldn’t help myself I had to sample lots of them. Not to mention lots of fresh fruit. The staff in the restaurant were lovely, each evening you are shown to a table by Panos. Then served drinks by Tasos. Rafiel was so helpful and very eager to please. I can honestly say I feel pampered after the break away.

This hotel is a good size complex with something for everyone, from miniature golf to pool. There are two swimming pools with plenty of sun loungers. A little Greek chapel on the grounds and an outside gym. Steps from the hotel lead straight outside onto a shingle beach. This is so handy as sun loungers are provided on the beach. The view from the hotel is beautiful, you can sit and watch the world go by behind a glass screen.

You will not be disappointed with this hotel!

We had a lovely 1 week stay at this hotel. Checking in was a bit chaotic but the rest of the stay was great. Sofia on reception was a star, she couldnt do enough to help in whatever we needed. The rooms werent cleaned every day due to covid but if you wanted towels changing etc, they were very obliging. The complex is very clean and surrounded by beautiful vegetation and a lovely beach and pools. We booked a shared pool which was lovely to relax, even though ours had no sun in the afternoon, it was still very pleasant.

Our only negative points - charging for beach towels Euro1 per towel and you had to pay for whenerver you wanted them changing. The food was lovely but much of the same. On departure, we along with about 20 others, were picked up at 8a.m and the restaurant didnt think of opening just half an hour earlier, so we could get a quick coffee and snack. Instead they gave us a pack up, which consisted of dry bread, no better and a slice of ham and cheese. A peach and bottle of water. Ow forgot another slice of dry bread with a pack of jam and butter. :( The transfer back to Kavala airport took 3 hours in total. Nearly 90 mins from the hotel to the ferry opposed to 40 ins when we arrived as TUI seemed to have a coach less.

Our tour company changed our booking to the Alexandra Beach Hotel and we couldn't have been happier. The hotel was fabulous. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were very comfortable and it was a bonus to have a decent size fridge. The food was excellent and I was so impressed by all the produce grown at the hotel. Grapes, apples, pears, peaches, tomatoes, courgettes, aubergines to name a few. Absolutely wonderful to see. All credit to the garden staff there. The hotel is very near Potos village so it was a short walk for any shopping etc. My only negative comment is that because of Covid the rooms aren't cleaned as often as usual and a brush to sweep our floor and balcony ourselves would have been handy. That said you could request a clean if necessary.

We absolutely loved this hotel as the customer service was exceptional, right from the start when we booked in the reception staff we found that they couldn't do enough (particular shout out to Sophia). We were told that our room wouldn't be cleaned every day but could request it if we needed it done which is exactly what we done without any problems.
We had a Seaview room which was spacious with plenty of storage space and comfortable bed.
As another review said it would have been nice to have Tea/ Coffee facilities but will take my own next time.
The restaurant had a beautiful sea view and again I can't fault the service as waiters always happy with the exception of one lady, again a shout out to another Sophia for her super friendly attitude.
I do have to agree with some of the reviews about the food temperature, especially the vegetables near the service station and could do with being looked at. There was a fair choice of food and some nights there were barbecue food on offer.
The salad's and desserts were particularly good.
The terrace was lovely to sit and watch the sunset with a cocktail. No problems with the bar staff and were very attentive and the prices were roughly the same as prices at potos so spent alot of our evenings there.
There were a couple of negative things with one being that on our last night they had an outside event which went on to 1am in the morning and unfortunately we had a 6:30am departure and didn't manage to get much sleep !! The other thing was the packed up breakfast to take when we checked out was pretty awful and consisted of slices of dry bread with horrible cheese.
But never the less we had a fantastic time and can't wait to go back next year ☺️.

We have visited Thassos first time, but Greece not. Globally, Thasos is nice place to stay, lot of beautiful beaches, but also noisy island and compared with Crete and Rhodes wich I visited, expensive as those islands are.

We booked Alexandra Thassos Spa Resort from the website as we liked the concept of this Resort.
First of all, I must say that I am really positive surprised for the garden view. They are growing their own vegetables and fruit. Many greenery, palm threes, olive threes etc. Vegetables and fruit from the garden were served for breakfast and dinner, as I find as a plus. The view from the hotel to the see is really beautiful and peaceful sunsets you can find on this position.

If you are looking for peace and silent, for sure this is not place to stay. To many families with children, which is ok of course, but could be very disturbing for couples. So my advice is to find different accommodation.

Stuff is ok, but sometimes I felt they don't care for us to be satisfied. Stuff from the restaurant was really hard working, but to much people were coming every second at the breakfast and dinner, so it was sometimes stressful for them. sometime i could not find the table to sit, which was really annoying. Standard of the food was not ok for the 4 star hotel, with this pricing. There was of course food which I preferre, but it should be more higher. For example, speaking about cakes, no sugar added, gluten free food etc. Breakfast was same every day and I could say more unhealthy than the dinner. For example beans and potato I don't find good to have in my plate for the breakfast.
For dinner I could find what I like, but also, very similar every day.

Room was ok, renovated few years ago, and bathroom was older, not so clean. Cleaning must be done every day, as changng of the towels and the sheets. On my call this was done 2 times for 8 days. Maybe because of Corona. Towels were very old and I was not sure if they were washed adequately. Also I find this as a minus for the 4 star hotel.

Major problem is number of personnel I think, because resort has so many rooms, and if you want quality, more personal should be engaged.

Every morning I was taking a walk through the complex, and I can say that space around bar, pool and dining complex was not cleaned at all after the working day, so the floors and tables were very dirty, which is also a minus. Those things should be cleaned after the working day.

Beach is ok, but I was there only first day cause of stoned coast.

My conclusion is that all those things should be improved, so the pricing could be on the same level as the quality.

Arrived to a wonderful welcome at reception. Offered a glass of fizz while waiting for the golf buggy to take us to our room.

We requested a quiet room & 5126 definitely met all our needs. Room very modern, bathroom bright & spacious with power shower & nice starter toiletries. Hairdryer powerful and lots of extra sockets for devices. TV with Sky news, BBC world news. Mattress great, had the best sleep. Lots of hanging space, tip would be to take extra coat hangers as there are just 10 rigid ones provided. WiFi excellent throughout the hotel, even down on the beach.

Restaurant food & service was just excellent, usually hotel food in Greece is just ok and following the pandemic and ongoing austerity our expectations weren’t high. We were half board and were amazed at the choice of breads, soups, salads, Greek & European dishes on offer, the dessert area then provided additional temptation! Breakfast offer was again really extensive, hot food plus continental choices. Our only suggestion would be (as it was difficult to get coffee when required) that the Restaurant Manager could consider providing a pot per table, rather than the waiters struggling to refill cups on demand. Despite staying for 2 weeks we always found something new to try, the hotel was busy but food was replenished quickly and areas kept tidy. Drink prices reasonable, e.g house wine good at €13 & you could purchase a bottle at the bar for pre-dinner drinks then take into the restaurant or vice-versa. Staff worked hard to provide drinks, clear plates despite everyone arriving to dine at the same time so it was sad to hear a minority of Brits being very vocal about ‘poor service’.

We spent our days on the beach, again the facilities & service from the beach bar team was great. We didn’t hire beach towels but these were available from reception. Limited snacks available but other options were available up at the hotel including the best Greek pizza!

Without exception the staff throughout the hotel were wonderful, keeping all areas very clean & offering efficient service with good humour, Antonis, Camara, Leonidis, David & Maria to name a few….

The Alexandra Beach is an immaculate, self contained resort We had the best, most relaxing holiday and we will definitely return. 🥰

I have to agree with the review from Linda H there are many good things about this hotel however equally many areas that require improvement by the management. For example having to pay 1 euro for towels everyday seems almost petty and penny pinching. Paying for a key for a safe which is already in your room is something that I have never experienced in my many years as a traveller. Regarding the food I am not sure where to start, suffice to say even though we were on half board we decided to go into town instead where the quality of the food in the restaurants was much superior to the offerings of the hotel. I appreciate that we are in challenging times however when you arrive and are told at reception that your room will only be made up every 3 days the writing is already on the walls. None the less we certainly did not allow these negatives to spoil our much needed holiday. PS: Note to management If Eggs cannot be cooked correctly you have many areas to improve.

Excellent hotel. Polite and friendly staff. The restaurant staff go out of their way to help. Special mention for Thasos in the restaurant - impeccable English. Rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels and toiletries replenished as needed.
Many different room options - the ones with private pools were quite noisy with families and children but that wasn’t a problem if your room was away from them.
We had a nice quiet garden room with its own fruit trees growing outside.
Easy walk into Potos for shops and if you wanted to eat out or try the local cuisine.
Recommended.
