Travellers' Choice
From lovely studio units to our three-bedroom family holiday unit, we have the ideal accommodation to suit your needs. With our central Motueka location between Nelson and the Abel Tasman, access to the Great Taste Bike Trail, and heated swimming pool and spa, you’ll leave feeling that you had a truly refreshing break away. We can’t wait to welcome you back! There are literally dozen of motels in Nelson Tasman. So why should you stay with us? Well, guest feedback consistently mentions the high standard of cleanliness in our units, the beautiful gardens and the pool. But the comment we get most often, the one we think is the most important of all is this: “Happy, friendly hosts who can’t do enough for you.” If that matters to you, come and stay with us at the Park Motel. We’ll do our best to help you make the most of your time in Motueka, whatever the reason that brings you here. As long-term locals, we know all the best things to see, do and try in the Nelson and Tasman regions. Make an inquiry or book online now (remember, booking directly gets you the best rate!). This motel is the cleanest and most comfortable motel we have stayed in. Lisa & Alan were wonderful hosts going out of their way to do the very best for us. The pool was heated and the sunbeds were padded and very relaxing. Lisa and her cleaning staff prided themselves in thoroughly cleaning our room everyday and made an excellent job of it. We were there for 3 nights. The facilities available were all the sky sports channels, laundry, modern kitchen with everything you need, a fab bathroom and bbq . It was home from home. We give Equestrian Lodge Motel 5 star ++++plus.

The location is just so relaxing, spacious lawn with beautiful trees. The facility has a heated swimming pool and a lovely area with a bbq, outdoor tables and plenty of room to relax. Very comfortable and well presented ground floor units with all the amenities one could wish for. Everything was impeccably clean. Within walking distance of a supermarket, plenty of interesting walks down to the sea and also lovely bush walks. A great place to just relax and unwind. We loved our stay, we have never slept so well!! There is a laundry room available with washing machines, iron and ironing board etc. Alan and Lisa are so friendly, professional and helpful. Their service is exemplary. They made our stay so much more enjoyable. Cannot speak highly enough of their commitment

My wife and I came from Wellington to visit her recently widowed sister inland from Riwaka for a remembrance ceremony. House was full with her children and grandchildren so we had to sleep elsewhere. We had booked, and Alan gave us clear directions over the phone as we neared Motueka. What a great choice! Quiet cul-de-sac All units we saw are ground-floor and have north-facing French doors opening onto decks in full view of the tree-lined gardens and pool but not visible from other units. Lovely grounds that we could have spent hours enjoying, and under 5 minutes' walk to the supermarket or the native bush reserve, but the double-bed ground-floor unit was the highlight. Good-sized bed, comfortable sofa, big TV screen with 80-odd channels, bathroom with modern-looking toilet,

Enjoying a scenic tour around NZ. This motel is one of the best we've been in - ever. Lovely comfortable room. Really comfortable bed. Lovely quiet, relaxing gardens to rest in after a long drive. Owners are a terrific couple, very friendly while remaining totally professional.

This has to be one of the most memorable stays in the past few years. Why? Because of the owner, Alan, who is the most friendly, easy going, accommodating and helpful hotelier/host that I've ever met. This is what hospitality is all about! Thanks Alan for a great stay!. As for the property itself, it is on a plot of land just a 1 minute's drive off the main highway through Motueka, but it is an oasis of rest. The layout of the buildings is perfect, with all rooms having a private parking spot near the frontdoor, and a rear patio that looks out onto a beautiful shared lawn area that also gives access to the pool and barbecue area. The pool (8am-9pm) is heated to 28C, on the small side, but still large enough to swim a few short laps. The barbecue area was equipped with a gas
