Detailed Reviews
We were really impressed with Abbey Court Motel from the time we booked right through to our departure.
Email communication was simple and booking easy. We were welcomed by Vicki who is just brilliant, helpful, friendly and full of information.
Although on the main road through Motueka, the motel is very quiet. Our room was more like a 2 bedroom apartment with the main bed in the one room with a large lounge area and kitchen and a smaller bedroom with 2 single beds. In between was a well appointed bathroom.
The room was well designed with all new fittings including a large fridge which is so helpful when self-catering, new cooktop, oven and microwave. The bed was very comfy with excellent bedlinen .
The bathroom was well set out with lovley fluffy towels and a heated towel rail.
Our unit also included a lovely covered patio area with outdoor furniture and next to that was space for the car.
The laundry is available to guests for a very small fee and a clothes airer is available on request- another really helpful service.
We had air con and wifi
We highly reccommend Abbey Court to anyone wishing to stay in Motueka.

Having travelled in the South Island for three weeks staying in Motels, this is the oldest built motel with excellent modern facilities, was the best of our stay in the south.
Vicki, family and staff were all helpful and accommodating. Nothing was a problem.
Our friends and family in Motueka have been told to recommend it. FIVE STAR PLUS.

+1
This motel was nothing less than amazing from the moment we arrived to the time we left. Service was faultless and genuine, which enhanced our entire experience, while the room was as if it were brand new. Little treats of chocolate and cookies welcomed us into the spotless room and we were agog thereafter.
There's a dishwasher and a fridge/freezer in addition to the standard other kitchen appliances, while the TV featured Netflix in lieu of Sky, as well as Freeview.
Nice hot shower completed the "wow" of Abbey Court.
Overall, awesome. The owners have future-proofed the place by putting in the best of the best in the way of appliances, beds and equipment, hence making this a motel they and their guests should be proud of.

This place is exceptional. Incredibly friendly staff. The room was amazing value for money - absolutely spotless, modern and fully equipped with high quality whiteware and appliances. Every small detail was thought of. Very impressed, one of the best motels I've ever stayed at.

Group of 3 friends walking the Abel Tasman, we needed accommodation before and after the walk. The accommodation (family apartment) was great as we were all able to each have our own space (2 bedrooms and a bed in the living area). Beds were comfortable, separate toilet and shower We had a patio area which had a view over a field and hills in the distance. Tea, coffee and a sachet of plunger coffee provided. The owners were very friendly and helpful, holding a bag for us during the walk and helping with disposal of cooking gas cannisters which we were unable to take on our return flight.

Superb stay. This area of New Zealand was not under covid restricions requiring wearing of masks and most activities were still operating.
The motel room was very spacious complete with full kitchen including oven and cooktop, dining table and chairs, good sized fridge, a lounge suite and airconditioning . It was clean, warm and comfortable with parking right outside the door and really had everything we needed. The host and staff were friendly and the servicing provided each day for the room was great so we were very happy with our stay.
Nothing to complain about. The only thing missing for such a complete room was a dishwasher, but the few dishes we used each day were easily washed by hand in the sink.

Had a long day on the road from Wanaka heading to Golden Bay.
Stopped in Motueka checked online reviews and chose Abbey Court. Wasn't disappointed.
Vicki was really welcoming and cheery, and check in, quick and easy, lovely way to start my stay. Wifi pazsword and Milk provided I was shown to my room.
The room was clean and light, tidy and well appointed, kitchenette well equipped and complimented by the chocolates on the bed.
Jumped into the shower, decent water pressure to wash away the days travel. The extractor fan was a little noisy, but efficient.
The bed was beautifully comfortable the linen soft and pillows fluffy.
With the motel being at the bottom end of town it's a quick easy drive into the centre of town while being in a quiet location.and there was some cafes, a BP and fish and chip shop within walking distance.
Some nice touches include Netflix already set up to go. The wifi was good speed and the plunger coffee was a great way to start the next morning.
With another guest in the next room didn't hear anything so was really happy with the room.
Was great value for money and better going directly to the property and would stay there again and recommend it.

Our stay was amazing. We came from Nelson for a party and the motel room was exceptional. Beautifully presented, clean and comfortable. The extra wee details with the folded towels, makeup flannel, plunger coffee was really unexpected. Thank you for our wonderful stay.

Never having stayed at a motel we weren’t sure what to expect. Abbey Court far exceeded our expectations.
The room was large, spotlessly clean and well equipped with daily servicing. They even replaced the dish cloth and tea towel every day.
We had the accessibility room which had loads of space and a lovely quiet patio and garden outside. Although on a main road, it was well set back and there was no noise.
The bathroom was excellent with a good shower and plentiful hot water. The bed was large and very comfortable.
The manager was really helpful and suggested trips we could do and then booked them for us.
Would recommend this place to anyone.
