Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The campground is small but you have everything that you need for a great price. Showers are amazing with unlimited hot water. Kitchen very well equipped. The host is very friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed staying there, my kid loved feeding the chickens. We recommend!

Such a lovely and cozy place!
Close to the town and yet retracted with such a scenic view in the backyard.
The owner is such a friendly man, great guy ready for a chat.
Countryside feeling, hens walking around - we got fresh eegs, and apples in the kitchen for free (:
Toilets and bath conditions were great! Indoor and outdoor facilities for coocking.
Our biggest recommendation (:

Very pleasant stay. Owner was very kind. Good facilities and quiet place. We had a place for our tent far away from the others with own table and chairs. Nice kitchen and cooking supplies, hot showers and 2 fridges. Would always stay here again.

Irene very friendly lovely lady who runs this complex. She upgraded us from a studio apartment to a one bed apartment. Apartment had all we needed to ensure we had a great stay of three nights, roomy with good shower and comfortable bed. Were told that we could pick apples from the orchard once the pickers had departed for the day and were also given a small bag of apples on arrival. Complex just a few minutes walk from the shopping area and Irene showed us on a map the Lagoon walk which was good to walk.

We stayed here 3 days as a jump-off point for visiting Tasman National Park. Irene, the manager, keeps the place very neat and tidy. The prices for the cabins and the camping were the best value we found in NZ. It's a short walk into town so you don't even need to move the car to dine or buy groceries. The kitchen is pleasant and well-stocked with cooking utensils and dinner ware.

We stayed in early february for our second time on our tour of the south island for three nights. It has now been taken over by Irene who is an absolute treasure! The units have been updated to a very good standard and provide really excellent value . It is close to the centre of Mot with its bars and restaurents and also Abel Tasman national park

was found here! Irene, the owner, is charming and epitomizes all that is good about Kiwi's and small business owners. She is attentive to all details and treats everyone like family. Location is excellent...quiet but close to all amenties (grocery store, restaurants, shops etc.) Our room was great value for the dollar, very clean and spacious enough for the two of us. Having fresh eggs given to us by Irene when we arrived was a bonus and made breakfast the next day special! It was good to see a variety of accomodation provided, not only self-contained rooms. With so many other attractions close by (Nelson, Kaiteriteri, Able Tasman...), this was top notch value for our travelling dollar. Thanks Irene!

The Vineyard is small, the bathrooms are cramped but clean, chickens and cats patrol the grounds. And the owner is the most charming, considerate and helpful service person we've ever met. If you want to meet fellow world travelers, or Kiwis working in the orchards on a temporary basis, cook your meal in the communal kitchen and you'll soon become part of the family. And if you're lucky, Irene may give you a half dozen newly laid eggs from the chooks, or a freshly baked raspberry cobbler, as she did when we stayed there. If we ever return to the South Island, we'll make a beeline to the Vineyard to spend a night or two.

Room Tip: We were in a tent, so try to find a place out of the lights that burn all night.
