Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were in unit 22. Easy access, easy parking with no carport. Room was dated but clean. Bed was firm but comfy enough and we slept well. Very quiet. Close to town. Nothing to complain about but still it didn't sit well with us. It was OK but wouldn't choose to stay there again.

Very welcoming and generous owners, to 4 damp and splattered cyclists arriving from Tapawera. The breakfast was excellent value for $10 pp. Comfortable room and amenities. Would certainly recommend.

Room was clean and quite the only good things. Small and very dated. Old bed and bathroom not up to standards. Overrated and did not match their web page. Nice place if classified low budget. I would not recommend for average traveler.

One night stay. Comments refer to our studio room- no22. We did not use the pool area or the trampoline! Good: clean room with comfy bed and pillows. Usual cooking facilities. Pictures on wall to brighten room Quiet Garden surrounds Less good: tiny shower/ loo External appearance is quite shabby Small towels… For a single night- fine. We went off to walk in Abel Tasman which is reached easily in about 20 minutes.

Overall, this is a tidy accommodation. We stayed in a large two bedroom apartment. The bedding stuff were very good and comfortable. However, I was not happy with the bathroom. The bathroom was old style with no ventilation. The showroom was separated from the rest of the bathroom area with a curtain. After every shower, the bathroom floor was full of water and this was unavoidable! The garden area was super beautiful with space for sitting and dining! The WIFI was quite terrible!

On check out: Me: thanks, here's the key, just want to let you know that there is no insulation at the side or from the unit on top. Him: yeah well they're wooden floorboards and people justs have to get used to it. Me: Um, I paid a full night to sleep here and all i heard was a lot of banging, voices, running up and down, people going to the toilet and a couple having (brief) sex. Him: Yeah a lot of people tell me that. Me: Oh, don't you think you should do something about it?!? (silence) Me: I guess I better write some reviews and let people know they wont get a good nights sleep (silence)

This hotel was located just on the outskirts of town. The owner was super helpful. The two bed family unit we had was right by the pool. The unit was so clean and presentable we could not fault it. Brilliant place for a stop over or a couple of days expiring the area for any one with a family. Highly recommend

Having a personal carport was awesome.. in case of rain! Wifi signal wasn’t good where my unit was, would be good to upgrade, There was no soap in bathroom nor in kitchen.. a mishap? I enjoyed my one-night though. Managed to do a bit of manual laundry and got it dry outside in two hours! A place to recommend, especially for a longer stay.

We had bikes, and Vince was very generous in letting us store bikes in the spare room, where we could charge them overnight, providing carpet offcuts to protect the carpet. Their was nothing flash about the room, but it was clean, in good nick, comfortable, and spacious. Room overlooked swimming pool area which was very attractive and inviting if the weather had been better! There were building works happening on street, which we could hear but it wasn't too invasive. It is a bit of a drive/bike from eateries, although Toad Hall Cafe is close by and definitely worth a visit.
