Can't recommend this place enough! Amazing location, luxurious, friendly hosts and they thought of everything! Have already got relatives and friends looking at when they are able to come stay ☺. Binoculars were a stroke of genius! Partner loved sitting on the deck and gazing through them

We had 2 days at the lodge and loved every minute. The view is so good that you won't want to stir from the balcony. The lodge is provided with everything needed for a relaxed stay and Steve and Suzanne provide a perfect balance between helpful and friendly advice and suggestions, and all the space and peace you could wish...

We spent 5 glorious nights here. Fantastic service, incredible views, Great food. The hosts Suzanne and Steve are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are really good - what you see on the web sight is exactly what you get. We can't recommend Kokohuia Lodge highly enough.

With its views over Hokianga Harbour from high above Omapere this location is unsurpassed. It is a little off the main road but easy to find. The room is spacious with an outside deck and a sitting area on a lower level inside. Huge windows give a 180 degree view over towards the sand dunes on the other side of...

Love, love, love this place.....the lodge (very comfortable, beautifully designed, eco managed) the views (stunning, sea, harbour, headlands, trees) the quiet (you can hear birds twittering, bees humming the distant crash of waves) the night (quiet, starlit skies). The hosts ( Steve and Suzanne, informative, great cooks, friendly) ; all bases had been covered, wifi, a comfy sofa outdoors surrounded by...

We had to wait for some months to get a booking for our three nights away - and it was worth the wait! What a fantastic getaway. The location is wonderful - quiet and peaceful with a feeling that you are sitting on high, looking down on beautiful views. It is private and relaxing, perfect for a wind-down. Steve and...

Kokohuia Lodge was all we could have hoped for. Glorious views, warm friendly reception (Steve was amazing, and nothing was a bother. Sadly didn't meet Suzanne as she was away). Woke every morning to native birdsong, what a treat. The gift of Kokohuia honey was really appreciated and unexpected. Indulgent and luxurious would sum up our two nights at Kokohuia...

The breathtaking view as we parked the car in its tailor made space high on the hillside was an indicator of the delights to come. Wherever the eye rested within the lodge or beyond it - on sea, sand bar or native bush - there was beauty. Every detail had been thought through and every comfort provided right down to...

We felt very pampered during our stay at Kokohuia. Suzanne & Steve were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, even offering to carry our bags to & from the car! The lodge was luxuriously furnished & well appointed. The breakfasts & dinner were beautiful and the view is outstanding. Thoroughly recommended. We will be back.
