The location is excellent just a short walk to the beach and tavernas on the front of Katelios. You can also walk up the small hill to other restaurants such as Jerrys Elliniko (definitely worth a visit) and the bakery. Only comment is the road can be a little busy at times and it’s best to have a torch to walk home at night.
The pool area is lovely with no real competition for beds. The pool was also fairly quiet and it was good to go in for a dip as it was especially hot when we were there. There are cabanas to rent for €10 per day but they weren’t for us. Personally feel better quality beds might be better and larger parasols but this is probably being slightly picky.
There is a bar (open 10 - 6) serving drinks and cocktails with a snacks menu which was adequate. Over 14 days this could be a bit limited. Cristos and Stavros were both friendly and helpful and very professional.
The accommodation was to a good standard. We had a double bed which was so comfortable. Air con was good and very welcome. There was a bath with a shower which was good and powerful. Towels were good size and quality. The rooms were cleaned regularly and beds changed weekly with clean towels 2-3 times per week. We had a ground floor apartment with terrace looking on to the garden. It was very quiet and peaceful. There is a built in kitchen area hidden behind bifolding doors. It doesn’t lend itself to gourmet cooking with only a one ring stove which had to be plugged in in the bedroom but it didn’t bother us. There was a kettle toaster and fridge with a good range of crockery and utensils.
We would definitely return here again in the future and Aligis Studios offer really good accommodation for the money.

The pool area was brilliant, a decent sized pool, fantastic views of the mountains and plenty of sunbeds, a relaxed atmosphere, no loud music. The pool staff could have been more friendly and welcoming. At times I felt they really did not enjoy their jobs, especially the 2 men - the one even said ‘ what’s in it for me? ‘ when I asked for a bottle of water, however it was extremely hot and I doubt anyone wanted to work in the heat. It did put us off using the pool bar so we made sure we had plenty of water from the local supermarket where the staff were very friendly - especially Ellen and Maria in the mini market.
There are a few cats which come along to be fed and fussed , not everyone likes them but we loved them!
Overall we had a great holiday and in the main enjoyed the time at the apartments, however we would have loved to have felt the same Greek hospitality in Aligis studios that we had at the restaurants in town and in the shops.

The grounds are well kept and with fruit growing on the trees what more can you ask for.
We didn’t spend a lot of time around the pool area as we were with a 5 year boy who likes to shout and play and much rather explore the beautiful beaches but when we did we all throughly enjoyed and felt we could always relax and wind down with a beer and wine even though it did feel like we cleared the area a few times when we arrived at the pool, we broke the relaxing silence of some.
I would definitely stay here again.
In my opinion to enjoy this beautiful island to the max get a hire a car, get about and explore, the roads and drivers aren’t as bad as people make out and you can find some fantastic beaches with a little walk involved too which are secluded, clean and where the waters are blue and clear. There is parking at the hotel.
There’s also a fishing trip from Katelios harbour run by dimitris and Efi which is a fantastic day out . The fish caught in the lines is cooked on the boat and served for lunch with homemade wine it was absolutely beautiful a fantastic day all round and very intimate.
You can walk into the village within 5 minutes and very easy but note it is dark for about 3-400 metres so a light to make you visible id advise.
The restaurants in the village are great, Maria’s was our fave as was a takeaway from tsabos when we couldn’t be asked to get dressed up and walk down after a day of galavanting.
I think this hotel would be better suited to the older adults and couples as opposed to family’s but it’s just a place to lay your head at the end of the day and a lovely place it is.
My room come with small kitchenette (OK for quick breakfast / small meals, not for full self-catering), a double bed and one small bed, and a balcony. Was spotlessly clean, sheets changed daily, and was stylish and comfortable.
The pool was great, and plenty of sunloungers and seating around the pool. Beatiful views of the mountains around, while the grounds were tidy and well looked after. Breakfast, snacks and drinks available at reasonable prices.
Was a 5 to 10 minute walk to Katelios beach, and less than 5 minutes from several shops, including a fantastic bakery.
Hard to find any fault with it. Thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would happily stay again.
The rooms are well equipped don’t get me wrong and could do with a spruce up but the outdoor furniture is very tired and uncomfortable.
I never saw the pool cleaned while here and it had mud in the bottom and bits of debris.
Chris was very attentive and helpful which was a blessing given the fact I probably wouldn’t stay here again
The studios are situated next to a small holding with cocks and hens nearby which begin crowing from around 3am some be warned you will have a patchy nights sleep if your a light sleeper and finally the rooms all have an emergency light above the main entrance that doesn’t go out so your bedroom is illuminated green all night too
There are plenty of sun beds, although they are a bit uncomfortable, available round the large pool where you can go for a swim or cool down under the hot sun.
Chris the manager is functional, efficient and accommodating without getting socially involved with the guests.
Undoubtedly we will return at some time or other but like to move about a bit and have already booked another location in Greece for next year prior to our visit to fabulous Katelios.
