The pool area is clean and gorgeous, always plenty of sun beds available. Views are incredible. Baby pool sectioned off for little ones and easy accessible steps at the shallow end of the main pool for easing yourself in!
The vibe all day is so relaxing; we went with our 6 year old, travelled as a family of 3 for 1 week and had the best time. Really family friendly but also perfect for couples and adults.
Nikos and his wife and sons work so hard ALL DAY and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. A freezer full of ice creams, a fab selection of drinks (including iced coffee, yum!) and the food is amazing. You must try the quiche, which is homemade by mama eryphilli, but pretty much everything on the menu is lush!
Pool bar open 10.30am until just after midnight.
The room is basic as expected from this type of accommodation but clean and comfortable and has everything you need - cutlery, kettle, portable stove, toaster, cups, bowls, plates, glasses, fridge with little freezer, Beds are comfortable. Air con a must! You pay extra but it’s well worth it!
Towels and bedding were changed whilst we were there and bins emptied more or less daily.
The apartments themselves are set in a perfect location - 10/15 walk from the beach front which has loads of bars and tavernas - spoilt for choice!
Locally we visited persas taverna which was amazing, and Jerry’s.
There’s a wonderful bakery just down the road with coffee and fresh cakes/pastries to either take away or enjoy on one of their tables/chairs outside.
Nikos ordered us a taxi to skala one night, which is a 10/15 drive and again, stunning. We went to lunas restaurant opposite the main square, walked around the area and had a walk up and down the Main Street, which was full of bars and restaurants, ice cream joints, and shops.
Right round the corner from eryphilli is a supermarket stocked with everything you would need.
Book it - you won’t be disappointed! X
The accommodation is clean and basic but with everything you need. You get fresh towels and bedding every 3-4 days and there is air conditioning available on request for a small fee. The pool and pool are is immaculate and not too busy.
Close to car hire, mini market and tavernas and just a 15 minute walk down to the seafront where there are more tavernas, cash point, boat hire. Made us chuckle listening to the turkey next door first thing in the morning. Highly recommended for the quiet life or if like us, you hire a car and explore the island in all its beauty.
Rooms are basic and I would say the bathrooms could do with updating mainly because the water pressure was so low at times that it was difficult to have a proper shower. We also had a few issues with the toilet not flushing again due to water pressure. However, neither of these issues detracted from our holiday. Comfy beds and everything we needed for self catering. The rooms are kept clean, and the pool area is so lovely and spotlessly clean. Loads of sunbeds - never an issue. Food around the bar is nice but we did feel quite expensive (for example, one ice cream from the freezer for my daughter was 5 euros). Nikos the owner is super lovely and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

It was early in the season so the restaurant area wasn’t open, however, you could get food from the bar, & although we didn’t eat there, what I saw looked very good & other guests said it was. Will definitely return & I can see why people do return year after year! So quiet & peaceful, with typical countryside noises from a cockerel & a couple of turkeys! There are some lovely walks in the surrounding countryside & the views around the pool were fabulous. Only a short 10 minutes walk to the front, & with a bakery & mini mart close by. Absolutely loved it!

As we were so early in the season, the on-site taverna wasn't open, but the pool bar offered a selection of snacks and salads etc. The Rosebud Bistro, across the road at the Magnolia Hotel offered a small menu and, although not typically Greek, offered some Greek dishes. You could sit inside the restaurant which was very welcome as it was pretty chilly at night when we first arrived. We ate there a few times.
We also ate at Jerry's Elliniko, which opened on Monday 9 May, good food but absolutely enormous portions, and Persa's Taverna which opened on 18 May, which was the best food of the holiday.
We took the local bus to Argostoli, just one per day at 9.30am Monday to Friday when we were there. We stayed overnight in Mouikis Hotel for a night and got a taxi back for €40 the next day. The bus back to Katelios would have been at 2.30pm.
Eryphilli studios had everything we needed for our stay - a comfy double bed, air con (40€ for the week), good shower and lots of space for storing our belongings. Nikos, the owner, was super friendly and helpful.
There is a supermarket very near to the studios. We bought food from the supermarket one night and sat and ate on our patio. The studio had plates, cutlery etc but was basic.
There is a bus service that runs from outside of the supermarket. We took the bus to Skala one afternoon (at 3:15pm ish) and then hired a car from KCG travel. For us, hiring a car meant we could see so much of this beautiful island.
Katelios beach is a 10 minute walk from the studios and has a large choice of restaurants to choose from along the sea front.
The pool area in Eryphilli is lovely, with lots of sunbeds for all. Despite being the busiest time of year, it was never too full. There is a shady area with trees by the pool which is perfect for when it gets too hot. The pool bar serves a range of food - we can recommend the gyros platter and burger (portions are very large and reasonably priced!).
This was the perfect base for us to explore the island. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Kefalonia.

We hired a car from Smiley Rentals for 3 days to explore the island and you pick it up at the hotel opposite the studios. Very easy and great value.
Highlight of the holiday was the fishing trip we went on from the harbour at Katelios.
I highly recommend booking early.
All in all we had an amazing 2 weeks in Katelios and I wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Wish I was back there now!!
Only 15 mins walk down to the shingle beach with plenty of tavernas for evening meals, all of good quality.
Nice beach , we used our beach shoes when in water as quite stoney, well i did, kids didn’t mind. Had a teen with me i was worried he would be bored as such a quiet village , but he loved it and was happy going for walks , having a beer in the fab tavernas , kicking a ball about on the quieter end of the beach and chilling by the pool.
Apartments are only 2 min walk from a well stocked mini supermarket , the bus stop to agostoli which goes daily , and a 2 min walk to a great bakery my hubby went to each day for breakfast ( I’ve allergy so couldn’t eat from there unfortunately).
Food at apartment complex was good had lunch there daily, after morning visit to pool.
Such a great stay and relaxing area
