Excellent service and food. Beautiful environment. Nature is beautiful and diverse. Great hiking. True Italian experience. Friendly and kind. Personal attention (when one of us was sick). All reasons to come back soon!
We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Bellevue while we hiked in the Cogne valley. We are already dreaming of returning one day - it was absolutely wonderful. The hotel has great charm and the staff exceptionally helpful. We loved waking up to the view down the valley, walking during the day and returning to try the many saunas, hot tubs and other spa rooms. That was followed by a drink on the terrace overlooking the garden (watching the staff pick salad leaves for dinner) before dining and watching the sun set in the western valley. The food was simply wonderful. The village of Cogne is also charming and it, with the Hotel Bellevue, has quickly shot to the top of our favourite places.
This exceptional hotel is in a idyllic location to explore Gran Paradiso National Park. We had a prestige room with balcony that looked up to the Alps. Room spacious, very comfortable bed, quiet with large modern bathroom. Secure wifi also provided. Breakfast magnificent. All staff most welcoming & helpful. Restaurants attached to the hotel also very good.
Nice hotel and great Spa. For animals lovers you will have the national Park around the corner. They take care of their customers..which is not obviously nowadays. Toilet paper far too thin but would reccommend
The hotel itself is full of charm. Located in the middle of the Cogne valley, the family run Bellevue is charming, comfortable and offers a wonderful spa experience. The afternoon tea is a nice touch and dining in their restaurant is nothing short of delightful. The bar à fromage across the road is also a tasty treat. The spa located on the lower levels of the hotel, has a wonderful variety of saunas, steam rooms and pools as well as a great gym room for rainy day workouts. We highly recommend a stay in this exceptional location. The fauna and flora in the valley offer a beautiful, natural surrounding, worth exploring…
I am a frequent guest of this hotel and cannot recommend it enough. Outstanding service, superb location, charming rooms and great restaurants. The spa and treatments are excellent (perfect to wind down after a long walk / trekking). Excellent value for money.
This hotel was incredibly thanks in part to a stunning junior suite that we were provided, complimentary, as we were on our honeymoon. The room was one of the best we have ever stayed in: authentic, luxurious, comfortable and warm. On top of the views of Mont Blanc and Gran Paradiso was the in room sauna and fireplace that just brought it to a whole new level.
A real homefeeling accommodation, friendly, high quality, fine kitchen, very professional. We loved it! We extended our planned stay, we walked, biked, swim etc. nice surroundings, another world, really
The decoration is remarkable. The spa and pool is exceptional. The room we had was noisy too close to the road, although we paid the supplement for the view. The door was in thin wood like in à chalet. The restaurant was juste restarting but for a Michelin star it was far from perfection for the price. The dining room and terrace are very nice with quiet view on the mountain.
Having stayed at this Hotel in 2016 we had high hopes for a wonderful Honeymoon. Sadly it was not to to be. The ethos of the place has gone from guest orientated to staff orientated. On our first morning at breakfast I expected a QR coded menu - we are living in the time of Covid and I had read their gushing reassurances - it did not exist. I floundered not knowing what to order, the extensive buffet has been withdrawn, a busy, impatient waitress with a sloppy ill fitting homemade mask the size of a babies nappy hovered over me demanding to know my order. I could barely decipher what she said through the thick cotton face covering so merely ordered fruit and coffee. The portion size has shrunk to minuscule. I got the distinct impression they are using Covid as an excuse to cut back on staff and food. All staff wore the dreadful, frayed, unsavoury looking masks and continually tugged at them or let them slip below their nose. Hardly Covid safe, not reassuring. Food in the main dining room in the evening was good, nicely served and very tasty but again the dreadful face coverings were off putting. We booked for 7pm & 5 minutes after our allotted time they rang our room asking where we were! This happened twice. The tables were spaced exactly as in 2016 and again no QR coded menu or wine list. We ordered 1 bowl of soup on room service at 8.15pm and were told no. Room service had to be ordered before 7pm otherwise the waiters would be too busy! We do not recommend this hotel …
