The bungalows need some refreshing but that's normal because the hotel is located right on the beach. Very good food and friendly employees at the reception, the waitresses are a bit too slow but still very friendly. I enjoyed staying there
What they would not do to make you happy...what a place... Nice individual hut type rooms... The hotel was beach side, so, the only noise was from the ocean hitting the shore.... Great food catered to your taste.... Owners lived on site, so service was good... Easy checkin...
The hotel is well positioned. Close to the sea, it is so great to wake up, open the window and have the sea just in front! The staff are very kind, the ladies in the bar are the best. Food is excellent. The room was spacious - in fact, a bungalow - bathroom was great, with hot water available all the time. The internet was very bad, most of the time not available. What was not nice at all were the cockroaches in the room! I had to struggle with staff to spray my room. In the end, I was doing the spray myself.
This place is a perfect place to rest after long jungle trip ( 7days from maroantsoetria via cap est). Food is very good, rooms are clean ( without creapy crawlers), price- quality is good and staff is nice. But speak only french. This hotel was one of the best hotels we found on the eastcoast. Just don't expect a fancy tropical lodge in this part of Madagascar.
This review must be taken in the context of a very backward country, economies of scale, and just hard reality. This is a very basic place...nice location on the beach. But electricity is limited there and no generator was used. WIFI is only available in the restaurant, subject to electricity and the local phone company...forget A/c. You will get a bed, a restaurant with edible food, and some nice people. Breakfast not included was acceptable. I do not know that there are better options in the city. If you are an English speaker, better know sign language...or learn basic French.
