Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We (two couples) spent one night at Le Souleilla in August of this year. We had had some travel delays so were later in arriving than planned. We phoned our hosts to let them know and they were happy to put our evening meal back an hour or so. The location is good - not too far from the main road (A61) and the buildings which make up the complex are charming with lots of planting and flowers. There is a swimming pool which I didn't use, but it looked inviting and one of party had a good dip. Our hosts gave us a warm welcome and we were shown our rooms - shabby chic sort of theme - comfortable and a good size for an overnight stop. My only criticism of the bed would be that it was a bit on the small side for a double and had a plasticated mattress protector which was rather uncomfortable and also a bit hot for August. Our evening meal was home made fare with pate and melon to start, followed by rabbit shepherd's pie, a selection of cheeses and a fruit salad for desert. Wine was also included in the meal. It was hearty food but we all agreed we could have done with some vegetables or salad - something green at least to accompany the main meal or the cheese. The fruit salad was fresh but perhaps a little on the unimaginative side of things. Breakfast was fine with a range of bread, brioche, home made preserves, fruit and yogurt. Lots of fresh coffee and fruit juices if you wanted. All in all, a very enjoyable stay and certainly somewhere to return to if in the area again. One last comment - the owners have two dogs who are extremely friendly and come and sit under your table while you are eating. It wasn't an issue for us, but might be if you are not a dog lover.

We arrived here after a hard day's cycling on the Canal du Midi and Le Souleilla proved to be everything we needed to restore our spirits. The food, including Guinea Fowl and vegetables grown on-site, was very good indeed, the company at dinner entertaining and informative, and the rooms well-equipped, airy and comfortable. In addition, the grounds are lovely and include and open air swimming pool. Highly recommended. Terrific value!
