This is simply of the best Hotels I have stayed at (this is saying something, check my profile I have been to a lot of ultra luxury resorts) there's something about this place which was just wonderful from start to finish, the staff, the room, the food and the location.

We were greeted by Sunny from gust relations and she was warm, friendly and knowledgable, We were taken to our room which wowed us, it was set on the beach with a good view. The amenities were very good and there was an outdoor shower which is always a big plus for me in addition to an indoor shower and large bathtub in the room.

The food here was amazing from start to finish the Pho and spreads for breakfast to the dinners where they had especially good Indian food and very very good service at all times. Nam the waiter for us was a standout during evening dinner. Huong was our star man for breakfast.

This location is perfect, we were able to go to Hoi Ann using the resorts free of charge shuttle service which makes the resort perfect for exploring this beautiful town which is deserved of it's word heritage title.

All in all our only regret was that we only stayed here for a few nights and would have loved to have spent at least a week here, many thanks and if we are every back we will be sure to visit. Kind Regards, Mr and Mrs Patel

There was a minute in our Vietnam trip planning when we were actually considering forgoing the Four Seasons. Talk of bad weather in winter and also an incredibly high rates were both deterring us but I just knew we had to do it. It was the best decision of our trip. This place is magical, impeccable—an absolute reprieve in what can be the hustle and bustle of Vietnamese towns during high peak tourist season. The room is extraordinarily designed. The pools are sublime. The beach is perfect and the food, ... the food was literally some of the best we had in Vietnam, perhaps because of our western tastes but I believe simply because it’s prepared to perfection.

Oh and the spa, gorgeous and great massages! Take a walk to see their garden too. It’s equally as perfect. Finally if I had one comment, I wish there was more a robust yoga schedule. In fact, just once daily in the morning would be great. Also, when they do have yoga they charge $20 per class which I think is unnecessary given the rate of the rooms. Other properties of this caliber usually have a daily free yoga class for guests. This is a minor detail and seriously the only room for improvement I could come up with.

Please stay here if you visit Hoi An. You won’t regret it!

Oh wait, one more thing! The staff are so kind and amazing! It’s hard to describe how well they take care of you!

I spent two wonderful nights at the Four Season the Nam Hai In July 2020. I’ll start off by saying that the property is absolutely gorgeous (the photos don’t lie). The villas are tastefully appointed and laid out in a way that is easy to navigate. Every staff member I came in contact with was warm, friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and offers al a carte options too. Overall, this is a plush, beach resort that ticks all the usual boxes that you’d expect from a Four Seasons property.

Here comes my caveat. The usual rate for a basic villa (breakfast included) hovers around 1,000 USD. In light of Covid-19, the Four Seasons was running a special rate for Vietnamese locals and foreign workers, which brought my nightly room rate down to a little under 500 USD for the two nights. At this rate, I felt like the hotel was on point and it was money well spent.

In Southeast Asia, if you spend 1,000 USD or more per-night I would expect the hotel room to be either very large, super private, unique and / or have a private swimming pool. None of these factors describes a basic room at Four Seasons the Nam Hai. This is a beautiful hotel, but I feel like the average price points here reflect the Four Seasons brand, more than it does the hotel itself (keep in mind, this hotel was not originally owned by the Four Seasons; it was The Nam Hai before, and underwent renovations). Property prices in Da Nang / Hoi An are high, but there are numerous hotels along the road that are no where near those price points.

If you are coming from overseas and you’re looking to drop that kind of money, I would sooner go to one of the Six Senses resorts, Banyan Tree Lang Co or Amanoi – at those hotels, the high price tag is understandable. As lovely at Four Seasons the Nam Hai is, I would only return if / when they run a special that brings the room rate down to where it should probably be.

I am using the lockdown period for something I should have done very long ago: thank and rate the wonderful experiences, we have made at the Four Seasons Nam Hai.

I have been at this hotel several times with friends as well as with family.
I am usually a very critical guest, however from arrival to departure there is everything up to perfection in this property.

We especially appreciated the great support from the butlers, the great food (especially in the Indian restaurant) and the management team.

The privacy in the villas is high of value, the beach is definitely among the top beaches in Asia and the layout of the property allows a very comfortable and relaxed stay.

As soon as we can travel again this hotel would be my first destination!

The Nam Hai is beautiful, of course, with its lush vegetations, grand cascading swimming pools, azure sky, and white sandy beach. But we have had our fair share of nice-looking resorts with lackluster services, and we always leave disappointed. The level of services at Nam Hai is unlike anything I've had in VN, and I've stayed at Amanoi, the two Six Senses properties, and Intercontinental Da Nang. From the moment we stepped foot in the airport, we were transported to the hotel, quickly taken to our villa to be taken in, and from that moment on we were in Lien's (our butler) very good hands. Smooth and seamless do not begin to describe it. Lien was wonderful: caring, warm, attentive, yet never intrusive. She seems to have telepathy! For example we woke up from an afternoon nap and five minutes later she showed up at our villa to serve us some iced tea with cut up fruits. Nam Hai was also the only resort in VN that offers us daily laundry. It was not a big deal, but to return to our resort after dinner to see all our clothes freshly laundered, folded, and hanged neatly was an amazing feeling. The way Lien, and other Nam Hai employees treat my kid also pleased me tremendously: the customized sweet treats, the stuffed animal, the mini bathrobe, all the details show how much they cared for the little guests. It would take me much longer to elaborate all the things I love about this resort... Nam Hai is one of the rare places that I would actually come back.

If I absolutely need to nitpick, I'd suggest that they change the water pressure of the faucet in the toilet. It was a bit too strong and hurt our private parts, to put it delicately.

The loveliest hotel in a beautiful spot on earth. My family of 5 enjoyed a 3 bedroom villa here with a large communal area and 3 king size bedrooms. We had SO much space including our private pool by the beach. Steps leading to beach and to ocean. We were taken care of by Ruby, our butler. She was such a lovely lady who helped us with every need, from laundry assistance, dinner reservations, setting up lunch by our pool, arranging buggy pickups, and rides into town. Ruby was the very best and helped to make our trip perfect. All of the staff and accommodations were above and beyond all expectations. So comfortable and clean. Also we had help booking excursions which were great. Breakfast was included and SO many selections on buffet from Vietnamese and western selections. Fresh fruit and drinks provided at our pool daily. Enjoyed cocktails at the beach bar with a fabulous view. Upon our departure we were bid farewell by hotel staff, manager, assistant, and 2 others. Thanked us and wished us safe travels and asked if our stay was good. I have never experienced such service and I have traveled all over! The Hoi Hai will forever hold a special place in my heart and unforgettable memories with my family. We also enjoyed anti gravity yoga class at spa with such a great instructor..can’t remember his name now. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. We had many laughs during class with my family...a new experience.😄 Thanks to all who helped with a lifetime experience at this establishment.

Some miscommunications with online reservations made thru Platinum Amex site were quickly resolved and rest was easy breezy. We were met at check in by dynamic and always available resort manager Brian Ruch. Sudhir with Food/Beverage and Pushkar at Cafe were top notch in their efforts to provide guests with whatever was needed, even before we could ask. The resort was at full capacity over the holidays, but one would never know as it is widely spread out and guests can relax in their own villas or tour nearby sites. Bikes are placed at villas and quickly responsive golf cart valets can pick up anytime necessary. Some of the bikes probably need to be replaced, but as Four Seasons took over management of the property a few years back, many positive transitions are happening. We had an excellent breakfast that was included every morning and all the lunches/dinners/in room dining was high caliber as well.
Would definitely recommend this resort for its beautiful location/facilities (including spa) and amazing staff.

All in this resort is near to perfection! Service is out of this world, all staff well trained, friendly and attentive. All areas are perfectly maintained and beautifully arranged and decorated. The many pools are great especially the more than huge infinity pool right above the beach. We had a 3 bedroom villa with a big private pool, a huge garden with fountain and fish pond. The community house was great for evening drinks and shared movie sessions. The villas are top notch with every thinkable amenities, outdoor showers etc. Breakfast is a mix of buffet and a la carte service with great food and service. The only thing we did not enjoy was the street food market night. The food choice on the buffet was repetitve and not very tasty, the street food stands were nice but not a must have (you can have that better outside the hotel) and all in all too expensive for what it was. Overall the resort is the best place to have a few relaxing days off when travelling Vietnam. Highly recommended!

Me and my close friend decided Four Seasons to be our very first destination in 2021 and we were not disappointed about our choice.
We were warmly welcome from the moment the driver picked us up at the airport. The receptionist was indeed helpful as well as the manager.
After that, we were taken to our one bedroom villa with beach view which was absolutely great. It looked exactly like in photos! About the interior, I would say Four Seasons keeps Ancient Hoi An spirit well and translates that into the way they decorate. It is definitely not trendy or modern but very "Vintage Hoi An" vibe but still keeps the premium standard of Four Seasons. I liked the fact that there was many glass water bottles with complimentary tea and coffee in the mini bar. The bathroom facilities were good as well. Many towels and robe were available in my villa.
You could choose to have activities in the resort or go to Hoi An by resort's bus. However, I didn't know that the driver could not wait for the last guests at least 2 or 3 minutes. So when we arrived at the spot at around 20:32 and the bus had gone. So we called the reception to see if he could actually picked us up. Eventually, the resort actually settled a taxi to pick us.
About food, you won't be expecting a buffet but a la carte menu instead. There are some Western, Korean and Vietnamese options to choose from. I was happy with the quality of the food on both days.

The staff here always make me feel like home, the room is very nice and sleeps very well, I don't feel insecure when sleeping, the quiet and privacy is what I love. All staff including lifeguards or pool attendants are always smiling and enthusiastic. All good but I hope the food will have more variety, that's not to say the food here is bad but I expect more variety. I stayed for 4 days but breakfast was the same with no change in hot dishes for Vietnamese people. If I stay longer, I'll have to go out to eat. I think it should be changed so that customers don't want to leave the resort just to have another dish.

We were there in November and the private pool was chilly! We mainly used the larger, heated pool (for families) when actually swimming (I’ll add though that the weather was chilly for me to swim either way, but the sun was nice.) However, the villas with pools have other perks, so depending on your party size/situation, it may still be worth it. We were there with 2 littles and were happy to have the room to spread out when utilizing in-room dining, the butler was amazing with laundry, coffee, daily activities and tour suggestions.
