We were 2 friends taking ‘me’ time. You couldn’t ask for a better place. Gorgeous scenery out your window (or hot tub!), delicious food and such tasteful accommodation with everything and more you could need. We did the star gazing from the owners private observatory one night, another we dined with other guests and Luke & Kate the owners. Such a great place to stay. We had a divine massage included at our villa too. Very indulgent all round!!! Thanks to Lakeside Team.

My neighbour & I snuck off to Pukaki Lakeside retreat for a much-needed rest and our beautiful Ashley McKenzie villa was a gem. Beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need right on the edge of Lake Pukaki. Indulging in a massage & our very own hot tub ,lakeside couldn’t have been better. The evening meals, which we selected from the menu, were exceptional, using delicious local produce . Luke & Kaye & their friendly staff made us feel very welcome - hopefully we can return in the future. Debbie

We had one of the most memorable stays at the Lakeside Retreat. The villa was beautifully appointed. The outside area outstanding. The views of lake Pukaki are amazing. A private gym, A private massage room, A private sauna and hot tub. The delivered 3 course dinner each night was delicious with chef Tom using locally sourced produce with vegetables & herbs grown in their very own garden. It is a very special place to stay. Beautifully designed villa with style and comfort. Having the chef cook for us was wonderful. We really relaxed so much. We even did a 1000 piece jigsaw - when does anyone ever have the time for that! The hot tub was great. And there were so many brilliant complimentary touches to make it feel luxurious.

What an absolutely amazing place. Luke and Kaye have created a magical oasis away from everything, with majestic views of the Ben Ohau Ranges and Lake Pukaki. The villa we stayed in was gorgeously appointed, with every detail thought of - down to marshmallows for roasting on the open fire. We loved every moment of our stay and felt thoroughly spoiled the entire time.

Dinner at Moraine Lodge was excellent...well done to all involved.Was a treasure to find while spending time in Twizel. Would recommend to anyone looking for a fine dining experience in a super setting. 4 course set menu with matched wine.

Our stay was a treat for my husbands belated big birthday :-) and we had a marvelous time. The villa is beautiful and the surroundings stunning. The communication was great and we were warmly welcomed upon arrival. We loved the "big things" as in the beautiful 3 course meal and the yummy breakfast, the incredible scenery and the luxery and the hot pool. But we also so enjoyed the "little things" like the marshmallows for the fire, the whiskey after our wonderful walk, the board games. Well done team. It was a very memmorable stay.

Meg, the resident Springer Spaniel, greeted us as we drove up and dutifully led us to the reception door. Luke was very welcoming when we arrived and Sarah was gracious in showing us around. Stunning views, luxury accommodation and welcome ammenities made us feel at home, as did our favourite fresh lilies. Haffa cooked us a delicious dinner, served in our villa in front of a roaring fire. The fridge was more than amply filled with breakfast items. Only wish we had stayed a second night to truly absorb the tranquility of this special piece of New Zealand paradise. Would have liked to play with Meg and her pal Max. Congratulations Luke and Kayne on fulfilling your dream of creating this fantastic resort and retreat.

Our visit was a surprise (belated) 50th birthday treat for my partner. Staying in one of the Moraine Villas we were treated to superb kiwi hospitality from the moment we arrived till we left. The Villa layout shows attention to detail, the food was fantastic, and the friendly, responsive staff were amazing. The weather during our stay wasn't the best but sitting back next to fire with my lovely partner, a glass of good wine and eating excellent food certainly made up for it. Many thanks Luke and team.

We rented a Moraine Villa for two nights. It was a beautiful villa, warm and cosy. The food included in the package was superb, lovely and fresh, beautifully presented. Staff were friendly and approachable and would get anything you asked for. Great setting, close to Tekapo and Twizel, would definitely stay again, couldn't recommend highly enough.
