This certainly met and exceeded our expectations of a 'retreat'. The location is far enough away from the centre of Byron Bay, while being close enough to get right into town with ease, even at the peak of holidays.

The resort is only small, making it very peaceful and quiet. This also means you have a lot of privacy and easy access to the facilities, even at a busy time of year. The service from management and housekeeping was of a very high standard and with a really personal touch. Always around to help and have a good yarn, while giving you space to feel like you are alone.

My wife and I (reluctantly) left there feeling so relaxed. I can't say that for a lot of other places we have stayed in the past, so I thoroughly recommend staying here to anyone looking to disconnect from their day to day life and to take in the wonderful Byron surroundings.

Hi Daydream, thank you so much for your kind words. You really captured the essence of what our owner, Marta, had in mind when she took on this property. It's a lot of work but our clients make it well worth it. Hopefully we see you in the future. Regards, Marty & Nikki

With everything going on (COVID and impact to my fiances business), we just needed to get out of Sydney and this was the perfect place to do that.
My fiance loves a hot spa, and the room we had for the first two nights allowed us to have a hot spa whenever we felt like it (King Spa room I think). The room we had for the other two nights (2 bedroom apt) had a gorgeous view of the hinterland range, hammock and firepit. It was very romantic having sundowners with that vista. The laundry facilities ended up being well utilised and we even made ourselves a lovely meal one night which we didn't think we would do, but ended up being great, just to break the "eating out" routine.
The retreat is a drive out of the main part of town, but we had a car and it takes about 5mins to get into town, if that so it isn't that far at all. The trade off is this, stay right in town with all the cars and traffic and yes you can walk to the restaurant or main beach OR stay a little out (like 6km) at this retreat and experience the peace and tranquility that the remoteness offers.
It was the best break for us and the hosts Marty and Nikki were AWESOME !!! Everything was super clean, private and comfortable. The main house area has a lovely fireplace which I sat in front of and soaked up the warmth not to mention balconeys galore to sit out on and read.
My fiance and I did everything: went for a run up and around the lighthouse, swimming at a beach every day, we went to Bangalow, Nimbin, Cabarita Beach, Brunswick Heads, Lennox Head, Mullumbimby all based out of this place AND ate at most of the restaurants in town (Mexican, Japanese, Italian) YUM ! Would highly recommend this place !

Hi Aussie Traveller, wow that's quite a review. I must say it is refreshing having guests like yourselves stay on the property. Hospitality is a tricky game and it's nice when your clients put a smile on your face. You certainly did that and I thank you. Enjoy married bliss, Marty & Nikki

My partner and I spent the weekend at Cape Byron Retreat for a relaxing getaway from our busy lives owning a cafe and farming and we got that and so much more. We were greeted in the most beautiful living space and taken to our room that overlooked the mountains. You could hear a pin drop in our room, it was so peaceful and quiet. Our room was so clean and beautifully presented. We were given fresh towels and our room was tidied throughout our stay also. We ordered a breakfast to our room one morning which was every bit worth doing, before our massage which is an another add-on that we could not recommend enough. The team at Cape Byron Retreat gave us many recommendations for things to do and places to eat in Byron and surrounds and we were stoked with every one of them. I will definitely be recommending this stay to others and we will be back! Thanks for having us!

This was an amazing experience. Very claming and stunning setting.

King Room is amazing! Decor and layout is exceptional, with relaxing terrace porch, along side of internal access to communal facilities which are there if needed including kitchen and additional sitting areas.

The nature of the retreat is beautiful, a goreous setting with bird sounds, multiple day beds options, outdoor spas, hammocks and more makes for a tranquil escape.

There are also beautiful healing crystals scattered throughout the resort, from beautiful geodes, Rose quartz, amethyst and alot more.

Everything is layed out well, so that there are multiple spaces and locations for you to enjoy each other's company privately.

There is a beautiful peacock which graces you with his precesense occasionally, and is a real treat.

Front of Staff is Amazing, Marcella has a beautiful Ora, and is professional and on top of everything.

The resort is close to the main Beach and streets of Byron by car, ( you couldn't walk there) but we loved the location and think it is definetly worth a stay.

I Reccommend Booking directly through Cape Byron Retreat website for the best deals. As they are not a large corporation, this helps to support these amazing run places by booking directly, so they can keep profits in the business and keep the exceptional level of care and service going.

Thank You Cape Byron Retreat
For an Amazing stay!

Situated amid lush green slopes, this tranquil property is just the perfect escape. Following record rains, our very professional hosts could not of been more customer centric despite what was clearly a very stressful and challenging few days. Upgraded to the king studio, we were spoiled with stunning valley views and luxurious spa tub, although we snuck down to the outdoor hot tubs to enjoy the gentle rain and evening. We also stayed in the queen room located within the house. Both rooms have very comfortable beds and, as an adults only retreat, peaceful surrounds. Couldn't recommend breakfast enough. Cooked by our hosts, my dietary requirements were no concern and breakfast was both generous and outstanding! This truly is a place to relax, where nothing is too much trouble.

This retreat is just a few minutes drive into the hinterland from Byron. We booked a villa- a large bedroom/ lounge space and lovely huge bathroom. The place is exactly as advertised online, very pretty and tranquil. The outdoor furniture could go with a clean and unfortunately the bath tub in our room was too slippery for me to use. Nevertheless the staff were lovely and the breakfasts beautifully cooked and delicious. The hot tubs had covers on which I couldn’t work out, then I decided it was a bit too cool to use the anyway. I’m sure the staff would have helped but it was after 4pm and that’s when they finish. Highly recommend for people needing time out from everything. Waking up to birds every morning was just what I needed.

Cape Byron Retreat is a must have experience on your bucket list ! The property oozes a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature and wildlife. The Pool haven spa room I stayed in was clean with luxury facilities. My bed was comfortable and the bathroom was divine and spacious. The managers Marty and Nikki were absolutely amazing people who were so friendly and helpful. I was very lucky to have Studley, the peacock welcome me outside my balcony door every morning with his glorious feathers and cheerful song and dance . Both the hot and cold breakfast options were delicious, fresh and value for money . The hot tubs located on the property were surrounded by open lawn overlooking the horizon and was an absolute treat . I enjoyed a yoga session and a very relaxing massage on site. I was sad to leave and I will most certainly visit again one day . The property is about 10 minutes drive into town and to the main beaches . Be sure to check out 7 mile beach , I was lucky to see a whale. There are lots of places to have lunch and dinner in town , but if you feel like something different do what I did and get yourself a bottle of champagne, strawberries and snacks and enjoy this on the property. There is also picnic hampers available on site. The pool is clean and fresh. Thank you Marty and Nikki for making my stay comfortable. I hope to see you both again next time I visit Byron Bay.

Cape Byron Retreat is simply peace & luxury all around.
The accommodation rooms are superbly decorated & the common areas in the main house are well appointed with amazing furnishings & fittings.
Beautiful gardens, BBQ area, refreshing pool & two hot tubs overlooking the grassed paddocks & hinterland.
The many wild peacocks that roam freely throughout the property are beautiful & just add to the peaceful atmosphere of the retreat, along with the many amazing crystals on display in the gardens.
This place has it all, it’s up to you to do what you want. The gourmet breakfast served at your room & massages on site are little luxuries that will complete your stay.
Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to bring our large group here for a week next year. We know they’ll love this property & location just as much as we did.
If you’re considering this place for some rest & relaxation look no further - just book it!

Needing a restful week, Cape Byron retreat was perfect. It is about 5- 8 mins drive out of town away from the bustling Byron town, but that was exactly what we wanted. We took a taxi or Uber to town if we were having a drink but that was a small sacrifice to be away from it all. We stayed in the King suite, and had the most awesome outlook over the mountains. At night we could leave the door open and the breeze was lovely and no mosquitos. We cooked breakfast each morning the kitchen had a 2 burner cooker and utensils. We ate out 5 of the 7 nights and cooked chops and sausages on the BBQ on 2 nights complimented with a salad from the Deli in town, easy but yummy. Breakfast and dinner on the deck and chatted into the night, before retreating into a spa. We had our own peacock who guarded our room, whos feathers were spectacular. I had 2 deep tissue massages they were wonderful very experienced and you could tell she loved her job, complimented in a beautiful outdoor well appointed room. The pool was also lovely to sit by, and we will be back if we can next year, we loved it at Cape Byron.

The accommodation was very pretty with wooden theme and there was a hummock in the private balcony where you can chill out. Very nice holiday experience. Though it's located quite convenient and close to the town centre, there was only nature around us. You need a car though.
Recommend to have a breakfast in the balcony at least once, and to try the jacuzzi in the field.
