Wonderful hosts, wonderful stay, fantastic place - I love it!
Don't know what to say without sounding OTT... This really is a jewel. Lovely building in the peace and quiet outside le Rochebeaucourt.
Rooms are themed and relaxing, food is top class all home made, plentiful and simply delicious. Breakfasts are enormous, dinner is just what you need after a day exploring / working. Really didn't want to leave!
La Faisanderie's biggest assets are les hôtes, Leon-Marie & Anne. Lovely people for whom nothing is too much trouble!
Lovely lounge, huge grounds and a nice swimming pool & spa.
Fantastic VFM and a great place to be based while you explore the area!

Stayed at La Faisanderie on business - a tough course with a local Immobilier.
I cannot speak more highly of this superb Chambre d'Hôte. We had a fantastic time!
The hosts, Léon-Marie and Ann layed on the perfect welcome and served food which was fit for a king. Breakfasts were huge, the perfect set up for a hard day's learning!
Rooms are tasteful and comfortable - felt like 'my' country residence! The & spa were refreshing!
Rêpas was simply first class. Pay la Faisanderie a visit and you'll soon figure out why! (Ask Léon-Marie to let you sample his Armagnac!!)
5 Stars, without hesitation.

La Faisanderie once served as a barracks for a military contingent at Chateau de la Rochebeaucourt. The chateau itself burned in 1941 but several dependencies, including La Faisanderie, testify to the estate's grandeur. The owners, Anne and Leon-Marie, are warm, hospitable hosts. Staying with them is like being received at the house of a friend, one who cooks very well, offers delightful history-filled rooms, and intriguing stories in English, French and Spanish. Breakfast is included in the price of the room but be sure to treat yourself to a dinner as well (at additional but exceptionally reasonable charge). Leon-Marie is an accomplished chef and charming host. His wife Anne exudes warmth and kindness. A stay at La Faisanderie will open the door to a side of France that most foreign visitors never see unless they are fortunate enough to have French family or friends. This is the real France (even if Leon-Marie is originally from Belgium.)

I had the luck of staying here a few weeks ago for a wedding and cannot recommend it enough. The hosts are a charming and welcoming couple with a detailed knowledge of the area and restaurants and the accommodation is very comfortable, you couldn't ask for a nicer place for a good nights sleep. The house dogs simply made the place just about perfect for me. If you are in the area, well worth stopping off for a night or two.

We stayed in La Faisanderie with other families for 3 days. We had a fantastic time, and so relaxing, because we were very well taken care of. We did not have to do anything but relaxing, we had very very nice meals, all freshly made, even "une tarte magique" and because we loved it so much, we goy it twice :) The kids even got their own meals... Everything was just perfect, the hosts just know what you need, even at 7 o'clock in the morning we got nice espresso to start our long drive home. And then we even did not mention the spacious rooms, beautiful surroundings and swimming and outdoor area... We hope we will pass again some day...

I spent a week at La Faisanderie and was thrilled. The house is imposing set on a small hill overlooking the lovely village of Rochebeaucourt and was once the cavalry officers accomodation. It is ovely and even in March was a pleasure (and that is with the pool shut for the season). A visit in the summer would be even better. All the rooms are enormous and styled to reflect the complex and fascinating history of Leon Marie and Anne Sacre and the family. My room was the oriental suite with original furniture and paintings, en suite and with a small lounge too. Big but warm and cosy. Leon Marire and Anne are a delight and they are both gracious and friendly but equally happy to give you space if you don't feel up to a chat. Food was excellent and Leon Marie is vrey generous with his "aperos" and in his offers of a "digestif" afetr our meals. Anne is a great cook and we had such a variety of food in the short time I was there. If you want and interesting, comfortable, well priced break you must visit. I loved it!

Proprietors Leon and Anne are very attentive to the needs of their guests in welcoming them to their home, an impressive French country house close to the small village of La Rochebeaucourt et Argentine. There’s an equally welcoming pool and jacuzzi with the usual poolside facilities. Themed rooms are generously spacious and well-furnished with splendid, modern bathroom fittings.
Although a bed & breakfast arrangement, if you let Leon and Anne know in the morning, you can enjoy an evening meal that day, often outside under their gazebo with your fellow guests. Hors d’oeuvres are served at 8:00pm with dinner following around an hour later.
Sleep quality is good in this relaxing and peaceful setting, with breakfast served at the ‘civilised’ hour of 9:30am although earlier times can be arranged, especially if you need to travel earlier. Given that the property is quite secluded, it may be necessary to venture further afield for luncheon.

Needed a place that would welcome a dog on our long drive down to Gaucin, southern Spain. Very impressive building stood in front of us as we drove up the long drive to Leon and Anne's delightful mansion. We were welcomed royally and given the annex to unpack and enjoy. Leon opened the pool and hot tub. We knew we were going to relax very quickly here. Before dinner he took us on a guided tour of the area for about an hour, showing us little gems we would never have fond ourselves. There was a superb white church with fantastic acoustics. Anne had been preparing a gastronomic delight. The food was exquisite. Everything was perfect and we asked if we could stay another night. I'm delighted to say the answer was "yes!". This place is a must to visit if you are anywhere near the Perigeaux region of France. Looking at our diary to see if we can go back this month!!
