Hyatt Centric Murano Venice is located approximately 25 minutes north of the main island of Venice via water taxi.

The location is great with many Murano glass shops on the island, and restaurants are within walking distance from the hotel.

The staff was great at check-in and offered many suggestions for sites and restaurants to see. The facility was easy to navigate, and the decor represented Murano's endless glass shops.

My Hyatt Explorist status generated a room upgrade to a king bedroom duplex suite, so the area was spacious and offered a relaxing environment.

I will book this hotel the next time I'm in Venice.

5* for sure.
Great location on the separate island of Murano. Not to worry about it being too far from Venice because that is not the case at all.
The hotel do a private water boat for free to transport you to Venice or also from the airport.
Very nice form of travel and you do feel a little bit like James Bond.
You have to book the private transport in advance though. Myself and my partner kept forgetting to book this and so we got the public water bus transport where there is a spot directly outside of the hotel. Hotel staff informed us that we have to pay for this transport and they will collect monies whilst on the boat. We got the boat probably about 10 times and at no point did anyone collect any money from us for this. The journey lasts about 20 mins to Venice where you can get off the stop Fondamente Nova. If you stay on for 40 mins then you can get off at St Marcs Sq. I would recommend getting off at Fond. Nova because you can walk through the streets of Venice and it will only take you about 10 mins to get to Rialto or 20 mins to get to the main square.
The hotel was so modern and clean. Decorated so nice. Bed and towels changed every single day. Cleaners never bothered us by waking us up at 9am to clean. They would just clean it when we got up and left the room which was around dinner time some days.
Mini fridge items are about €4 each including a can of Fanta which is €0.69 in the COOP shop a few doors down. Make sure you stock up on drinks for the room in there.
The island of Murano isn’t great to be honest and there is not much to do. Hardly anywhere to go for a drink. I wouldnt spend more than a day there exploring. Just a million glass shops.
Never tried the bar or food from the hotel so cannot comment on that.
Staff are very polite and helpful. Places to store luggage also.
Shower is good and powerful. Not many channels on TV for English people, only news channels.

Dear rachelo_xx, Thank you for taking some of your time to share such a detailed review of your experience with us at Hyatt Centric Murano Venice. We are delighted to know that you enjoyed our rooms, ambiance and above all our friendly, helpful staff. For information, it is mandatory to have tickets when boarding the water bus. In fact, on-board inspection are carried out regularly and passengers travelling without ticket will be fined 🙄 That's why the team always recommend our guests buy tickets. Again, thank you for your visit and 5⭐️ review. Leonardo Ometto

Situated on Murano island, around 20 minutes by vaporetto from St Marks, the Hyatt gets you away from the slightly claustrophobic chaos of central Venice. The hotel is fairly modern, albeit wrapped in the walls of an old glass factory - which means you have the advantages of new with some of the aesthetics of the old.
Travelling in Covid times is a bit different, but the Hyatt has plenty of hand gel, screens between guests and staff at check in and generally feels as safe as you can get during 2020.
The hotel offers a free shuttle boat to and from Marco Polo airport, or you can walk 10 minutes to the public airport boat.
Once the tourists have gone home you see how quiet Murano is - the downside to this is that most restaurants and cafes close by early evening; fortunately the hotels F&B offering is reasonable and not excessively priced.

Dear Macks, We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your experience with us and very grateful that you took the time to share about it. We do love the way you described the history of the hotel - the image of something which gracefully wraps the hotel is truly poetic 🧡 As for the location, we totally agree! We love being on the lovely Island of Murano right in the middle of the Lagoon; close enough to Venice to feel its magic but far enough to rest in a very peaceful, very Venetian atmosphere. We truly appreciate you mentioned our efforts in making the hotel a very safe house for you. We hope to welcome you back again the future (hopefully under more favorable conditions 💪🏼 Leonardo Ometto General Manager

The positives are that Hyatt Centric is perfectly located on Murano island and really easy to get to Venice with the 4.1 and 4.2 vaporetto running frequently. The free hotel boat shuttle from the airport is handy but we were only able to get it one way. Room service staff were very friendly and hospitable.

When we visited, the hotel had just reopened after Covid so there were a few teething issues. The air conditioning wasn't working in our room (and it seems in most rooms) so was stifling hot on the first night to the point we weren't able to sleep. Having mentioned this to the staff several times, there wasn't really any apology given, just brushed off as being their cooling system and told we should wait. The breakfast was a la carte, but again on the first day, there was alot of waiting, the stuff were rushed off their feet and the service wasn't very attentive. Everything was brought out to us which meant there was quite alot of wastage when we weren't asked what we wanted, this meant we ended up with meat cold cuts (which we don't eat). It would have been more sustainable to ask the guests what they would want to prevent having to throw uneaten food away. The second and third night were much better and they seemed to have ironed out the previous night's issues, although they need to rethink how they serve breakfast, as currently it isn't sustainable (will give them credit that they brought us grilled veg in replacement of the meat for breakfast). I give the hotel 3 stars, because for a 4 star establishment I would expect better service, acknowledgement and an apology when an issue is raised. In addition, the cleanliness wasn't quite up to scratch- when we opened the duplex room's skylights, a whole host of debris fell into the room, clearly showing the hotel hadn't been used in a while and rooms not thoroughly checked and cleaned. It felt like the hotel used Covid as an excuse for most things e.g. asked reception if they could request an iron for us, was told I might not get it because of Covid as it needs to be sanitised, then asked housekeeping when we received no response and it was brought up straight away. In my opinion Covid isn't a valid excuse when the entire world is going through a similar thing.

I love this hotel and stay there for many years. Before it was an Accor Group Hotel which was amazing. Now it is Hyatt Hotel so many things have changed. As Accor Member we always got the best possible room as upgrade if available in Hyatt this is never a case. In Accor Hotel we have always had welcome drink coupons in Hyatt not and in Accor there was always a complementary water in room in Hyatt we can purchase it. It is dog friendly hotel but you can not enter restaurant or surroundings of the hotel area with a dog as this is prohibited. The chef of Hyatt Hotel is a Michelin two stars ⭐️ Chef but our orders spaghetti 🍝 was definitely below our expectations not even nice decoration on the spaghetti like at least one basil 🌿 leave or anything else.
The hotel interior design is extraordinary and very beautiful 😍
The front desk employees and the room service waiter were very friendly. Thank you very much for your kind attitude.

Dear Isamisiu, First and foremost, we hope you have had a great Holiday Season and best wishes for the New Year. Thank you for taking a moment to post a feedback through our survey and TripAdvisor too. We are glad to learn our location keeps meeting your expectations and our complimentary shuttle service still makes your arrival experience a little extra exclusive. We understand your comments in relation to our pet policy. Although we are and have always been happy to welcome both human and four-legged guests, in recent times we have experienced several problems which led us to revise our policy. This is the reason why indoor restaurant areas are no longer accessible to pets which, however, can remain in the room during meal times as they are supposed to be housebroken to stay at the hotel. Just for you to know in case of future visits, our Chef is not a two-star one although he won a 1 star Michelin in his past experience and room service is part of the Rivalonga offering. Of course, we have passed your comment along with him in order to review it and improve the service. As you may know, World of Hyatt and Le Club Accor Loyalty Programs have different terms & conditions and so benefits. If, for instance, you were used to receive room upgrade and welcome drink voucher under Accor management, the reason was a different membership level. Again thank you for your visit and all the best for your next future travels. Leonardo Ometto General Manager

Even though the location of Murano requires commuting to the center of attractions in Venice, this is a great choice as it very comfortable, QUIET, and clean property and we had a memorable stay. It is nice to have a respite from the hustle of Venice and decompress from a busy day. The property is in excellent condition, everything is modern and comfortable and decorated beautifully in the modern Hyatt style. It is one step away from the Vaporetto stop and we appreciated that the property also offered a Hyatt water taxi service to pick up at the airport (must schedule ONLINE in advance before arriving and confirm your confirmation!). Our room was very spacious and comfortable, we had all of the amenities that we required, there was even a lovely skylight in the bathroom that opened up electronically. I liked that the closet space was open shelving and plentiful space to keep things in order and visible. The rooms were lovely and quiet only you could hear the bells from the church nearby. The front desk was adequate and was able to assist us with scheduling an early private water taxi and also assisted us with our luggage when we departed. Their concierge services are not as helpful as in other hotels we have stayed at in Italy, but we managed to figure out what we needed to figure out. There is not a traditional desk in the room if you need to have workspace, but there is a pouf ottoman tucked under a nightstand that is meant to accommodate that. Each floor has a lounge by the elevator for sitting/waiting/quiet work and the lobby has plenty of areas for sitting with groups, indoors and outside. The breakfast wasn't great, but the service was attentive.

Dear MLF504, Thank you very much for taking the time to write such extensive feedback about your stay. We are beyond pleased to learn that we exceeded your expectations while you were here, in particular in relation to our modern, spotless facilities and privileged location. Murano definitely is a miniature Venice with its own scaled down Grand Canal, famous for hand blown original glassworks, and its winding canals dotted with small shops and cafes. We are delighted that our location was a contributing factor for you to enjoy your tour of the city. It is also great to read you have enjoyed your quiet and comfortable bedroom to the fullest as they are indeed spacious if compared to the average size of rooms in town. Thank you again for making our hotel your preferred choice of accommodation on this trip to Venice. By reading your words, I understand you are a Hyatt aficionado and so we truly hope to welcome you back either to Hyatt Centric Murano Venice or to another sister property around the world. We were pretty excited for this stay, but unfortunately it fell flat to the point where I just can't recommend it.

Other reviews detail the pros/cons of staying in Murano vs Venice proper, but whether you prefer Murano or not is more likely to be a personal opinion outside of the hotel's control.

That said, there's lots within the hotel's control that disappointed and would stop me from returning. I love Hyatts because they do the basics well consistently, and often do better with the extras than their peers, but this hotel failed where even the most basic Hyatt Places or Hyatt Houses would succeed.

The service stood out, and not in a good way. It teetered between dismissive and uninterested, even for the simplest of things, like check-in or asking about nighttime boats to Murano. When a small issue was raised, we were treated condescendingly like we were asking for the world.

Our room wasn't ready at check-in, and that seems like a common trend. In the afternoon, the lobby would be frequently crowded of people waiting to check in past the stated time. The wait was attributed to housekeeping, which I believe, because our room was cleaned around 4pm - not ideal if you're stopping back at the hotel before dinner. Toiletries/coffee mugs aren't replenished or cleaned, and it's unclear if Hyatt's great Hyatt Has It program exists here, the front desk again wasn't really responsive. If you want extra coffee pods, they charge for it, which is more of an Ibis than Hyatt move.

The rooms are large, and certainly bigger than most rooms in the city. While very visually appealing, the practical layout of the room and the maintenance of it was disappointing. In particular the bathroom looked great, but clearly was rundown. The AC either wasn't controllable, or we couldn't figure out how to make it work, leading to a warm, but not super hot, room.

I would advise to plan to use the public transit from the hotel to the airport, as they mention at booking, you can only reserve the hotel ferry at check in, and most spots are usually booked out, leaving ourselves and many people who checked in around us unable to get on the hotel ferry back. It's not too much of a hassle, it's $8 each and the ferry dock is directly across from the hotel, but worth knowing in case you're expecting a hotel shuttle.

Ultimately, enough just isn't up to standard to make this hotel worth it.

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend my 3 days in Venice.

If anyone is concerned about not being in the centre, don’t be. There is a water boat that takes you every 15 minutes on the hotels doorstep - which only takes 10 mins to Venice. The hotel has its own restaurant on the water, which was nice to have a coffee whilst waiting for the water bus. On top of that Murano has so much to offer being the glass making district, in addition to it is closer to Burano than Venice is, which in my opinion was the highlight!

The hotel has just been newly renovated, and you can really tell from the second you walk in. Everything is modern, clean and inviting. Breakfast is lovely, couldn’t ask for anything more? Cooked option which fulfilled my adoration of the full English breakfast.

The rooms though, wow, well they’re the best part! Super spacious, with a cool mezzanine, lounge and modern bathrooms. The staff are attentive, always happy to help if ever you need tips or things to do.

NOTE: a water taxi to your hotel will cost approximately €150, but this hotel has its own!

Will definitely return.

We enjoyed the experience with the Hyatt in Murano , hotel was well maintained and room was spotless, happy and helpful staff . As a returning visitor to Venice I found the location exceptional and enjoyed the location in Murano above previous trips to Venice , it’s quieter and cleaner and a short trip to the main Center by Vaparetto . Only negative which needs improvement was based on limited room service hours and selection , and the Spa was closed , presume this is still an effect of covid .

On arrival we could clearly see why other reviewers rated it so highly. Fantastic, attentive staff who took the trouble to communicate the important hygiene factors. Amazing, generous breakfast that will set you up for the day. The location is perfect with frequent water taxis to and from the island of Murano throughout the day/evening.
