We recently stayed at Sterling Mount Abu for two nights, and while there were some positive aspects, our overall experience was somewhat mixed.
First, the rooms are spacious and come with balconies, even in the classic category, which is a nice touch. The staff was polite and always willing to help. The food was another highlight, with a great variety of dishes in the buffet from different cuisines, making meals enjoyable. One particularly thoughtful gesture was the complimentary cake they provided to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, which made the occasion extra special for us.
However, the property itself seems to be in need of better maintenance. We faced several issues during our stay—though the staff resolved them promptly, the fact that these problems occurred at all was a disappointment, especially when paying ₹12,000 per night under the MAP plan. For the amenities and condition of the property, this price feels high, and the overall experience doesn’t quite justify the cost.
Having stayed at Sterling Ooty, we found that property to be much better in terms of maintenance and overall experience. While Mount Abu’s location is appealing, it doesn’t quite measure up to the Sterling standards we’ve come to expect.
I would rate this property 4 stars for the rooms, service, and food. However, the additional 5th star goes entirely to the traditional folk performance by five amazing artists. Their show, which we enjoyed on both nights, was the true highlight of our stay and made us feel that part of the expense was worthwhile.
In summary, while the staff and cultural performances were commendable, the property’s upkeep and amenities don’t quite justify the premium price tag.

They also organize an early morning Nature walk behind the resort which is also good fun if you can hike for 3km. In evenings they have Rajasthani dance or something for guests.
One challenge is for most rooms you need to climb stairs. I think only rooms 401-402 are two rooms without any stairs.
We stayed in 504-505 they had 60 odd stairs to reach but had excellent view. So if you don’t mind moving up down chose rooms 501-505 or 601-604.
Only thing which we felt need improvement was washrooms. They were neat but toilet seat etc can be better quality.
The service too was great despite the vastness of resort. Breakfast had a big spread and unique dishes on everyday. We even had dinner there and it was reasonably priced and tasted good.

The room is all premium room with facility of balcony and equipped with bathtub and spacious. Sterling hospitality is fabulous as excepted.
The restaurant is good and given food preference for vegetarian people's because of Rajasthan and surrounding states are mostly vegetarian.
The resorts transportation cost is more as compared to local transportation company and for that we Preferred local transportation for sightseeing and Udaipur drop.
Overall experience with this resort is very good and hopes we will visit here again.

According to the price of one night stay Room was good enough like evry other 4 star hotel, location is Also good enough if you have your own car or vehicle.
Price of Restaurant food products are too high, someone should not ordered from the Hotel Restaurant.
Services of hotel staff is very slow, i am not happy with this specially when you are staying with family and they know that you have booked for these number of people they have not prepared very well, i need to call for every small things like soap, towel, chair, glasses, water bottle, extra bed related things, etc.
I will rate this stay 2.5/5.
Hotel management people at reception are quite good but they will just answer the question , will not take responsibility of slower services.
Location : On a hilltop overlooking the surrounding area. Nice view from the room.
Food : Good breakfast spread & good taste of food.
Service : Good.
However I faced an issue with the housekeeping. On my 2nd day of stay they did not clean the room even if I had displayed the “clean my room” card at the door while leaving for sightseeing.
Also on that day after returning I had to call reception 4 times to get the complimentary bottles of water. This is for the first time in my life I had to ask for complimentary water bottles in any hotel / resort.
Other than this, everything else was good at this property.
1. Location - Situated at height, it provides beautiful views of forests 2. The staff was very courteous and helpful which made our stay amazing 3. The property was very well maintained, very spacious and has been developed in a way to make you feel the thrill of discovery at every turn. Here there is a small pond full of fish backed up beautiful sculptors of gods, just round the corner climbing upstairs a beautiful swimming pool with crystal clear water open to skies 4. Food and Buffet - Sterling staff truely believes that way to man's heart is through his stomach. The food was scrumptious and very fulfilling. The staff was ever so attentive.
Overall, I would like to thank Gaurav (restaurant manager) and Mr Gajendra (Manager on Duty) for a wonderful and everlasting experience at Sterling.
Thank You Sterling Mount Abu for creating such memorable trip.
1.We were a group of 12 people. We had no place to sit together at the resort. Upon asking the staff at the hotel, they said it is chargeable by INR 10,000 for one hour. This was shockingly ridiculous..Stay at Bikaner Palace or Altus or any such other properties. We have stayed there earlier in a group and we had amazing experiences, thanks to their services. Sterling scored not just zero but probably negative in their services. Any services were provided after a long wait time (1 or 2 hours) and after multiple calls, shouting on the staff and expressing dissatisfaction through out the stay.
2. Do not take rooms starting with 200 in the front block. They are claustrophobic with a ceiling of just 7 + feet. They were sold to us stating that it has a better view. But totally dissatisfied. Also Room 214 bathroom was not usable. The wash basin did not drain well, so it used to become like a bucket of dirty water after one uses it. Disgusting
3. Avoid staying at Sterling at any cost if you are in a group. If you decide to stay then prefer either premium rooms or classic rooms on the ground floor starting with 100 series in the front block (no idea about other rooms in different blocks). and have patience to bear with their services.
We will definitely visit the property again, fortunately we explored it and now we have one more name in our favorite destination list.
Food was very hygienic and healthy, and the chef was always very curious to know if you need anything custom, and ready to serve what you need. So if you don’t find something you are looking for please don’t hesitate to ask, I’m sure they will help you.
Few Suggestions
This kind of great property must have a BAR
Good to Have some Supplies placed on Room, for example a fruit basket, some snacks, could be chargeable.

Coming to food. The ala carte was excellent and the chef would ask for feedback every single time we ordered Rajasthani speciality. The breakfast spread could have been better in terms of taste and options.
Service was prompt and there was never a delay in the calls we made for in room dining, laundry or house keeping.
I would love to stay here again. Thanks for hosting us Sterling Mount Abu!
