A last minute booking August due to the Canary Islands Lockdown. The Med Blue what a fantastic place, Billy and Kostas made us so welcome, a family run place for families. Food, Music and Staff all first class - the aparments and grounds are all totally Covid safe and safer than the UK. We will be back there next year, Spain just lost out the Greek Islands are so nice and safe and friendly.
We had a last minute hotel change the day before we flew to Corfu and I was given two choices, and boy am I glad I chose this one. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left, we were treated with the upmost respect and treated like we were family. The staff went above and beyond for anything and everything, no matter how big or small. We got our room upgraded due to the hotel change and special occasion and the room overlooked the whole hotel and the sea which was beautiful. The location was ideal for that time of year as we didn't need to go anywhere else but the supermarket or when we hired a car for the day. Room wise, absolutely spotless, the beds were a bit hard, lovely pillows and cleaned when asked due to COVID, the cobbly stairs up to the room are a bit tricky after a drink or 6 so be careful of those! The food, was just INCREDIBLE. All cooked fresh, all cooked with a special touch of the families traditions. We ate at the hotel every night without discussion because we just knew we wanted more of the food. Cocktails were unreal, beware of the head f****r. Lovely but lethal. Can't explain how much we enjoyed ourselves and we've already looked at dates for next year. Polly and Pete x…
My family and I had a very nice stay at the hotel. The hotel is simple but it has everything you need. The rooms are spacious and clean. All the other areas are also very clean. The hotel holds themed nights and the Greek Night was really fun. We’ve upgraded to half board as all the restaurants around the resort were closed for this season. The beaches near the hotel are not very nice, and the hotel has options of boat trips and car hire. We went to 2 boat trips (Blue Lagoon and Paxos) and also hired a car for 2 days. (Car hire must be paid in cash) I’m a vegetarian and the hotel went the extra mile to cook my meals and it was always very delicious. Andy, Penny and all the staff are just wonderful people and make you feel at home. Also, the 3 little dogs are just fun to be around. 😊 …
The hotel is slightly outside Kavos so if you want to be slightly (10 minute walk) out this is the place for you. Local beer prices are very competitive at 3 Euros a pint. Breakfast options are pretty varied Continental and English. They have rooms based in the main complex overlooking the pool area and then an annexe area as well. If you're planning some early nights then the annexe can be a little quieter. They have a swimming pool right in the middle of the complex, very clean, though could benefit from some solar water heating for later season months. They also have a wood fired pizza oven which gets fired up a couple of times a week, and they make pretty tasty pizzas. They have a few different themed nights each week including Greek night, which can be quite fun. They also do boat tours to Paxos Island and Blue Lagoon, along with coach trips into Corfu Town. Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable and Air Conditioning worked well. Staff at the hotel were brilliant and were really helpful. Overall if you want to be in the south part of the island I'd certainly recommend Mediterranean Blue. …
We recently enjoyed a relaxing week with very good food and excellent service. The cooked breakfasts were very enjoyable and the Pizzas were particularly tasty. We had half-board which gave us plenty of choice. The hotel bar and restaurant have a lovely setting around the swimming pool. It is a comfortable 10-15 minutes’ walk to the heart of Kavos which has plenty of restaurants and bars. From the welcome that Penny and Katrina give you at Reception to all the other things that you need, the service was excellent and they create a very friendly community amongst their guests. Tim and Andy also gave great service and an insight into great Greek hospitality showing that ‘nothing seemed to be too much trouble’.
