Filoxenia Hotel Apartments is often considered a great value for money, offering reasonable rates that include good food and drink. The staff's friendliness and the hotel's cleanliness receive high marks, with the well-kept grounds and spotless pools standing out. Rooms are seen as basic yet tidy, though air conditioning comes at an extra cost. While the hotel enjoys a scenic location close to beaches, some guests report noise disturbances. The lively theme nights add to the welcoming and hospitable atmosphere that many guests enjoy.

Well the reviews for this place are unbelievable and the photos look amazing. They don't do the place justice, the Filoxenia is even better than the reviews.
Nicos and Evangelia are perfect hosts, ably assisted on an evening by Szenka (sorry if haven't spelt it correctly). They will do absolutely anything that they can to make your holiday better.
The rooms are spotless but our studio was a little small, we are used to apartments in other places so this is hardly unexpected. Bathroom is perfectly fine and again kept very clean. I trimmed my beard and cleaned most of the hair up myself but no sign of any after cleaners had been. Clean sheets and towels every day.
Pool area and sun loungers are also kept perfectly clean and tidy. Pool cleaned every day. Plenty of room with 2 pools and a kids small pool.
The restaurant is welcoming and has a lovely relaxed feel. Food is all beautifully cooked, very tasty, reasonably priced and come in massive portion sizes. The Greek meze night on a Tuesday and the BBQ on a Saturday are definitely worth attending. Lovely food and loads of it.
The village is a few minutes walk where Billy's bar is, we watched football there and had a couple of meals there. Nice for a bit of a change.
As you van imagine I could not recommend Filoxenia more for a very relaxing holiday.

Situated just a short drive from the airport and on the main road I wasn’t sure what to expect. However once on the premises you couldn’t fault a thing.
The staff are so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment was spotless and beautifully clean with everything we needed. Rooms were cleaned everyday by the marvellous housekeeping staff and towels and sheets changed on a regular basis.
The pool area was great with two pools and no short of sun-beds (this was the week before the children broke up from school).
Gardens beautifully maintained and it was good to see fresh herbs being picked to use in the kitchen.
The bar was a highlight. A varied menu, a meze night and a bbq night on two occasions during the week. The Greek dancers were also a big hit.
Location is one of those things that might suit some but not others. If you’re looking for a pretty Greek village then this is not for you. There are only a handful of other restaurants nearby. However if you want convenience for the airport and just want to chill for a week by the pool then this is the place to be.
There is a bus stop right outside the apartments so you can go into Rhodes town for €3 and it takes about 40 minutes. Well worth a visit.

Lovely family run , apartments.
Quiet location , 10min drive from airport , local bus takes you into Rhodes if you wish to go and connecting buses in Rhodes to other areas .
Apartments are very clean , well maintained , don't want for anything, fridge freezer , two ring hob, kettle , fresh bedding and towels , even toilet roll .
Two pools , Nikos and his wife are fantastic, very helpful. Their restaurant is great, lovely breakfasts , lunch , dinner , bbq and Greek nights.
No big supermakets near by, we had a car , which I'd recommend, even for few days , so you can look around and grab cheaper items in big supermarket. Not ots of restaurants to choose from within walking distance , or bars , this is why it's peaceful .
Beach is 10min walk but nothing special , pebbles , not fantastically clean , lots of wind surfing activities , so bring beach water wear shoes .
Be warned, so close to Turkey , you pick up thrur phone signal , manually connect your phone to Greece .
If you catch a bus to go left as you come out there are some restaurants with sunbeds , €3 each but worth it .
We would definitely return, it's our second visit , already.

This place is an absolute gem. The owners are very friendly and will do anything to help. The apartments and surrounding areas are spotless, the meals they serve are huge and the bbq they do on a Saturday night is a must. It is located in a quiet area so a car is required if you want to see the island as the bus gets very busy. The owners organised the Dr for our covid test before we flew home, nothing was too much trouble for them. The only downside was having to pay for the air conditioning in the height of summer. I would recommend this place to anyone wishing for a relaxing holiday.

This hotel is perfect, made even more perfect by the spectacular staff & owners, i cannot rate this hotel highly enough, we arrived very late due a big delay at Manchester for us, due to arrive at 18:50 got there at 22:50, the owners greeted us like family and this continued throughout the holiday, the room was lovely with a plaque describing what the word above your room number means, everything just seemed well thought out and very well looked after. The cleaners attended every day to ensure the rooms where spotless, and they where all 10 days we stayed. the rooms have some great views of turkey. (air conditioning for us was 7 euro per night) the rooms had a safe deposit box but we didn't use it.

The pools where clean and pleasant to just spend the day lounging around them, plenty of sun beds to go around, the bar is always well stocked and has some very tasty breakfasts and snacks through out the day. the bar and seating area is made into a restaurant later in the day, again the food is high standard, my brother and sister in law described the steak as the best they have had in a very long time.

they also put on regular special nights, Greek dancing, meze, BBQ, all of which were excellent, my brother had his birthday over there during Greek dancing night, needless to say its one of the best nights we have had, the owner got us a birthday cake at short notice for less than 20 euro, fresh baked, delicious with his name on.

a special mention to the owners and staff as I have rarely been to a hotel run by such amazing people, nothing was ever too much trouble, such nice people makes the holiday all the more memorable, they made us all feel like family. one of the bar staff doted on my brothers 1 year old son on his first holiday and even baked some biscuits for him one day. absolutely astounding staff 5/5 isn't a high enough rating for them. they should all be proud of the fantastic hotel and environment they have created at the filoxenia.

my only wish is that i could go back right away for another holiday, 10 days was not enough.

i more than recommend the hotel, and if your thinking of booking this hotel, stop thinking and book it, you wont regret anything.

we will be back, thank you for an amazing holiday!

WOW! Just WOW, we arrived at midnight and was greeted with the biggest smile.
Check in was very easy and our bags were carried to our room. We went to the bar ( closes at 1am) had a quick drink and went back to our apartment (studio) apartment was basic but we only used it to sleep anyways and could t fault the cleanliness of it we had house keeping who came every day and changed bedsheets every other day. Air conditioning was quoted at 14 euros Per night so we decided to do without after the first night we got used to the heat. There are 3 pools one big one modicum and one baby pool.
All amazing temperatures, there was never any queuing for sun loungers and people weren’t going out at stupid o’clock in the morning to try and reserve them. Pool opening times was from 8am-8pm. The gardens were breathtaking and very well maintained. They had a swing and seasaw( free) pool table,
GiAnt chessboard and mini golf all outdoors all for
A charge ( we didn’t
Use this) all the staff were lovely and nothing was
Too much trouble, the food was the most amazing experience ever, we had the bbq evening that consisted of 8 items
Including dessert for $17 (definitely worth it) some of the drinks were weak compared
To the Uk but then some were really strong just give and take really. There is a bus stop right outside and you are a 4 minute walk (to the left) away from a
Small village with more hotels and supermarkets and a pharmacy and a lovely place called Billy’s,
We visited Billy’s a few times they do amazing food for decent price and lovely cocktails,
Very friendly atmosphere and made to feel welcome. There is also a
Play opposite Billy’s where you can book day out we went to the butterfly’s and to Lindos both hugely recommended . We swam
In the sea a lot also it was absolutely bliss. We were a 10 min transfer ride
The airport ( you do hear and see planes every 10 mins) however you get used to it and sleep through it. This is a place for pure relaxation if your into the big loud nightlife then this isn’t a place for you.
I am already looking to go back. I felt
So sad leaving ans felt like I was leaving a family behind
Thank you to every staff member for making my stay enjoyable

With these apartments only having a 3 star status I was really worried before arrival, but in actual fact there was nothing to worry about ! The location was great as the airport was 10 mins away, there where a few nice restaurants and about a 7 min walk to the beach . The rooms, grounds and ball where kept spotless. We got fresh towels everyday and someone had always been in to clean the rooms. The pool was open 8 till 8 and was kept clean with plenty of sun lounges and luckily no one got out at dolly o’clock to reserve them either ! The food in the in house restaurant was delicious and very authentic the tzatziki was to die for ! The food was very reasonable and affordable. We also attended the Greek night which was a great atmosphere. There where 2 resident dogs and 2 resident cats which my daughter was thrilled about . In the rooms we had a shower , there wasn’t a bath. A balcony which overlooked the pool and you could see the sea and amazing sunsets. There where hair dryers in the room . A small fridge freezer and 2 ring stove. The shop was about 5 mins walk for any essentials . There was an initial charge for air con which was about 7/8 euros per night but this was as essential in august as the rooms where hot. Overall we really loved at stay and thought it was great value for money x

I stayed here for 5 nights with my 6 year son. It was the first time that I had travelled just the two of us so was a little nervous. All the staff made us feel very welcome and safe, their hospitality really is exceptional and creates a very warm welcoming atmosphere. As others have said, the rooms are basic but good, very clean. It’s a little annoying having to pay the additional charge of €8 per night for air con but as we were there in August it was an absolute must. The food at the bar/restaurant is very reasonably priced and tasty. As big animal lovers it was lovely to see the cats and dogs roaming around. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We spent most days by the pool as it was so hot and then did some other activities in the evenings when it was slightly cooler. I was very pleasantly surprised that there didn’t seem to be any mosquitos around as usually they love me, but I didn’t have one bite! The friendliness of the staff is something else and Niko even let us have a late check out (until 1pm) to make sure I didn’t feel too overwhelmed trying to sort everything out for me and my son, free of charge! I massively appreciated the gesture and it made our last day so much easier as our flight home wasn’t until 11:40pm.
I’d say the only thing that lets these apartments down is the location. There really isn’t much nearby. It’s great that it’s just 10 mins from the airport and that there is a local supermarket nearby but besides that you really are in the middle of nowhere. The beach is stoney and mainly used for kite surfing. I would highly recommend hiring a car if you want to explore the island or visit a beautiful sandy beach. I booked a couple of evening excursions from the travel agent down the road for a very reasonable price. We took a trip over to Lindos on the East side of the island which took about and hour and on another evening visited the butterfly valley and Rhodes old town.
To summarise, if you’re looking for a week or two in the sun, lounging around the pool eating great food, in a welcoming friendly clean environment - then this is the place for you! We had a great time and would potentially book again, although like to try somewhere new if we can.

We spent a very relaxed week at Filoxenia, the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and at home. All the staff are very friendly and work so hard. The rooms are typical 3 star for Greece . Our room was cleaned every day, even on the Sunday and the bedding and towels were changed daily. The food and drink is reasonably priced and also very good. The Greek night and BBQ were fantastic and I highly recommend. There isn't much else around in this area but we knew this already so if you want a buzzing resort this is not for you. We got the bus into Rhodes town , now that was an experience, the first bus drove right past us as it was full and the next bus was also very busy so we had to stand all the way until we got to the airport then lots of people got off. It was worth the bus ride though as Rhodes old town is rather special. I can honestly say this was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had and we would deffo return in the future. Thanks again to everyone at Filoxenia and we hope to return again.

We can only repeat again the excellent comments posted by others. This was our fifth visit to Rhodes and Filoxenia and our whole experience from minute of arrival to departure was excellent. We arrived late evening to a wonderful welcome. Nikos, Evangelia and their team are so cheerful and helpful. The food is delicious and our rooms were kept very clean with sheet and towel changes daily. The location is idyllic if your are looking for a peaceful holiday with beautiful views over the Aegean Sea, a great pool area, with plenty of sun loungers, nice walks along the nearby beach and a local bus service into Rhodes Town. The gardens at Filoxenia are lovely too with many different fruits and flowers which eventually find their way into Evangelia's delicious home made desserts and liquers. BBQ and Greek nights are very good, and although it has always been our intention to eat out more often to try other local greek food, we inevitably eat in most days as the food is so good. We came as a family this time with our daughter and her fiancé who also had a great time. Special thanks for making John's birthday special. We will be back! Anne, Peter, Alexandra and John

The pool and surrounds lovely and safe, there's a table tennis table, a chess set and a mini golf all at an extra cost, the beach is not far, 10 min walk, but across a busy road. Its stony but has windsurfing and paddle boarding, sea was rough when we were there so care needed. Not much else that we could see for a 14 year old. Cant fault cleanliness, hospitality or food!
