Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. There are numerous recent upgrades and the room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent, the breakfast very good, and a beautiful beach with both sunset and sunrise to ourselves. Licata was a very charming small town within an easy ten minute drive.

We had decided to choose somewhere we could relax on a beach or be positioned where we could drive to take advantage of attractions and this hotel fitted the bill well though I would imagine that in high season it is very, very busy.
It is literally on the beach, with only the hotel piazza and hedge separating us from the beach and sea. The piazza even had a small swimming pool but it was not in operation unfortunately.
All those working there were very friendly and helpful and it was no effort to take sun loungers to the beach for us.
Although this was the toward the end of the season, the hotel was still relatively busy at times with people in transit, stopping over for a bed and breakfast. It was just a shame that dinner was no longer provided.
The whole place was very clean with rooms being cleaned daily and even the pathways bring brushed clear of sand after a particularly windy night.
Unless you have a car it would not be advisable for a long stay as it is somewhat remote although it is only a couple of hundred yards from the SS115 main road.

Found this bit of an old fashioned gem just by driving by after dark. Off the road a bit, it's quiet, faces the water and beach and has a pool, tables on the patio (where we had a lovely time of cocktails) and a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere and ambiance. The rooms were entirely comfortable, if not luxurious (not that we wanted or cared about that!) and the staff was especially friendly and helpful with any of our requests. This is a very good location for a night or a brief, relaxed stay between cities or other destinations. Decent enough breakfast. And, the nearby Sombrero Restaurant is a good choice for lunch or dinner.

Lovely average hotel by the seaside. Would have loved to stay longer. Rooms were clean and breakfast was good. No soya milk was available. A few paces off the beach and enjoyed a lovely swim. Even have a small pool. A bit cut off from the city centres but still enjoyed our stay.

There are only 3 good things about this hotel: the beatch, the view to the sea from the room and friendly staff. Everything else is dissapointing: rooms are outdated, bed is way too hard, breakfast is very poor. For this price you can find a better place to stay..
