This is a tricky one… this is definitely not a 4 star resort. It has some really good points and some points that on reflection need improvement.
The rooms are clean and split over two floors for a family which was great as it felt like you had some privacy from the kids rather than being crammed in one room. Hotel cleaners are brilliant and the rooms kept really clean.
We stayed all inclusive and I would not recommend this. We ate out a few times as food is pretty much the same each evening. Breakfast has some good choices with everything you could really want.
The hotel does have a restaurant but it’s an additional costs and the burger/steakhouse is no longer there. TUI also boasts of great evening entertainment which is also non existent. We did not mind that so much as a short walk away is all the bars, cafes, entertainment you could want.
The hotel itself is clean but the Canal de amour just outside is let down by litter and rubbish would just take someone to but a bin out there but no one seems to want to take that responsibility. Not sure on Greek rules of bins but this seemed to be an issue across Sidari.
The cups are ridiculously small but means I had to get up a lot more so swings and roundabouts! You might find a larger cup in the evening this is like the holy grail guard it at all costs ;)
I love the gym I used it once. It’s crammed and the equipment half is missing so although you could get a workout if you know your stuff really good do with improving.
The staff are a credit and what helps its stars really. They are kind and helpful nothing is too much bother.
In other reviews people mention the right of way to the beach. I didn’t really find this an issue. They do walk by and the main walk up can be busy but over all the majority of the time it is quiet. The main beds are only for hotel guests it’s just ones much further up they can be used by guests eating at the restaurant. We never had an issue getting a bed and we went down at all times between 10-3pm.m depending on our day.
The main question is would I stay again and actually I think I would but on a B&B basis. The views are stunning.l and everything you want is a 1/2 mile up the street.

Dear Angela, Each one of our colleagues would like to express our gratitude for taking the time to share your recent experience with us on TripAdvisor with other fellow readers. Your kind words regarding the cleanliness of our resort, the friendliness, and professionalism of our staff, the comfort, and privacy of our Superior Marionettes, the tranquility that emanates from our hotel, the breakfast served in the main buffet, and the hotel’s views and location are greatly appreciated. Regarding your points mentioned the cleanliness in every area of our resort is extremely important for us. Canal D Amour even if it’s a public beach, our team has taken the liberty of cleaning it three times per week without any notification to the Greek authorities since we are proud supporters of the Corfu beauty. At the peak of the season especially in August with a dozen tourists visiting Canal D Amour on a daily basis, the bins are always full and it's extremely difficult to pay the proper attention due to the high pressure of work. Please have in mind that due to COVID19 for 2021 some aspects of our hotel remained inoperative such as the Burger & Steak House and entertainment. Drinks that are served strictly only by the pool in paper/reusable plastic cups and are produced in a specific size. Nevertheless, in our resort, there are no limitations at all to our all-inclusive service. We would like to reassure you that will take your precious comments into account to keep improving our service quality regarding our gym facilities and Bed and Breakfast. We would like to thank you once more for expressing your opinion here on Trip Advisor and we honestly hope to have the chance to welcome you again to our hotel. Warmest Regards, Alexandros Mavridis The Hotel Manager Akron Seascape Resort Hotel

What a great holiday with our newborn, thanks to Akron, we'll see you again next year.
Hotel is super clean, the pool, the bed, bathroom, nothing to be picky of.
staff treated us very nicely and flexible, even prepared a baby bed with little towels and rose inside, so sweet.
We initially had a garden view room, then we upgraded it to a Swim Up in the main premises, worth every penny!!! Especially for family with kids. Main premises have mosquito net, stronger AC, less steps to the pool and canteen. The private pool is just wonderful.
Room size is not big, but good enough for us with a 8 month old. Given there are so much to do outside: the beach, the main pool, bar, food, fresh fruit.
Highly recommend Wave boat rental, 5 min walk from hotel, no license needed.

First of all, we had a lovely holiday at Akron. The good points are the restaurant staff who are absolutely lovely, not a bad word to say about them. The pool and sunbeds were great and the availability of food all day was fab. Our welcome was wonderful and our 1 bed apartment was very spacious with clean linen. Now the negatives. The Canal D'amour is an eyesore, rubbish left piled up on the beach and at the top of the stairs down, photo attached. It is absolutely nothing like the pictures you see. The cleaning of the apartment was not great at all, no dusting at all and only random sweeping. The food was just OK most evenings but not as TUI advertise and the selection of desserts was shockingly poor. Its OK if you want baklava or ice cream every night. There was 1 night a week with tiramisu which was yummy! The evening entertainment was dismal and some nights non exsistent. Anyone was allowed to walk in and use the pool leaving us wondering about the security of our belongings whilst in the pool. People used the pool area as a walk through to the canal d'amour which we found shocking. I paid for a resort, not a public right of way! There were also several off the street salesman trying to sell, i have never experienced this by a hotel pool. The bar staff were rude, sullen and clearly favoured their Greek friends who frequented the bar day and night. The bar was more used at night by the staff tthan guests. The house spirits were weak and a shot of grey goose vodka was €18 extra. The daily cocktails were dreadful! The bar seats and cushions were ridiculously filthy and always wet. Lastly, the restaurant toilets were not routinely cleaned at all which was surprising given the amount of pool dwellers and outsiders using them and the location by the restaurant. I will attempt photos. All in all, defo not a 4 star, a 3 star at best. The location of Peroulades is run down and the "resort" is dated. I really hope they start running a more professional bar service and try making a more sophisticated evening bar service as this would help achieve a better and more professional holiday. I will finish by reiterating how much I liked and respected the restaurant waiters and waitresses, they made the experience so much better. 😀

Dear Julia, Greetings from our Sunny Corfu, We would like to thank you so much for choosing to visit the Akron Seascape Resort Hotel, here in Corfu. Kind words like yours regarding our colleagues in the restaurant, facilities around the pool area, the food available daily, and the overall welcome experience that our reception desk and housekeeping offered to you are definitely overwhelming and certainly very rewarding to each one of us. Regarding the negative points mentioned please allow me to inform you that on behalf of everyone that works here in Akron Seascape Resort we feel extremely saddened that as a team we did not manage to meet your expectations in some aspects of our product. As a hotel the last operative years we are promoting and supporting any effort for a greener environment and that’s the main reason that we have added the blue waste bins for paper recycling and we aim to add a few more for glass recycling since you have posted a picture of some plates that were ready for this purpose. Please allow us to elaborate to all TripAdvisor readers that the isolated areas in Corfu such as Sidari are indeed facing a delayed growth in their rubbish collection system. Thankfully our constant efforts in informing the responsible department of the island to be more reliable and consistent with their work have paid off and since 16/7 we will have a weekly schedule as you already probably checked upon your departure. Regarding the cleaning of the toilets, our restaurant waiters and housekeeping have a 30-minute schedule for cleaning up to 22:00 at night. Even if we have decreased the cleaning time from every 45 minutes to 30 minutes from the previous season, maybe is indeed something that we should reconsider and make it less even less due to the high availability. I have to admit that I was totally surprised when I read your comments regarding the beauty of the Canal D’ Amour, the efficiency of the housekeeping, the evening and morning entertainment, and the friendliness and professionalism of our bar staff. As a team, we usually receive comments of excellence, especially about our team and their efforts to meet guests’ expectations. In our hotel, we always aim for improvement and do insist that the best way to achieve it is by taking our guest’s precious comments into serious consideration. Just to inform you that the management team has already noted down your remarks regarding the evening bar service, the pricing of the hotel’s drinks, and the quality of cocktails. Thank you once again for your preference and also for sharing your detailed review here on Tripadvisor. Warmest Regards, Alexandros Mavridis The Hotel Manager Akron Seascape Resort Hotel

We went there for a 4 night stay, in a swim up pool room. The structure has some positive things such as the pool (etiher the main one and also our private pool just outside the room), the gym (not so big but complete with basic machines) and the rooms (almost clean, some problems with air conditioned but immediatly resolved by the owner). Also the staff were polite and friendly.
The main negative point is the food: we had an all-inclusive accomodation, so we have tried either breakfast (almost complete with sweet things and the more international), lunch and dinner. Poor quality of the food, almost the same, and in the restaurant there was a low level of hygiene (I have found dirty plates, the tables were not so well cleaned and not sanitized between a guest and another.
Talking about COVID-19 measures: there was a notice at the entrance of the restaurant which required the use of masks when the guests were inside: well, no one was wearing it, and the staff didn't do anything. In general, a poor level of hygiene inside the restaurant, and also in the open bar near the main pool.
Absurd (by my opinion) that you have to request the pool towels to the reception (300m far from the pool) every time, carrying back the dirty ones to obtain the new.
In conclusion: the whole experience didn't worth the price you pay.
Last but not least: at the moment of the check-out the receptionist has tried to trick us with the payment of the local tax (that was 12€ but he told me to pay €20): when I told him i was supposed to pay with credit card, he became embarassed and without saying nothing typed €12 on the pad. One vote less for this behaviour.

Dear Den, Each one of our colleagues would like to express our heartfelt thanks for sharing your recent experience on TripAdvisor with other fellow readers. Your kinds words regarding our swim-up room and main pool amenities, the location of our resort, the cleanliness of your room, the friendliness and professionalism of our staff are greatly appreciated. Regarding the points mentioned of our food services and restaurant hygiene please allow me to elaborate that our team has always the priority to provide you the best facilities and services so in order to achieve that since a few days ago we have upgraded our menu, welcomed a new executive chef and added two new members in our kitchen team. According to the latest Greek government announcement for Corfu regarding COVID measurements our team has heightened our already stringent practices around food handling, disinfection, and cleaning. Now in order to enter the main restaurant, you must use a facemask while serving yourself, the hand sanitizer at the entrance, and disposable gloves provided by our team. As a hotel manager for the last years in this resort, I can personally guarantee you that the morality and ethics of each one of Akron Seascape Resort's colleagues are unquestionable. Please have in mind that we all are not English native speakers and verbal mistakes could occur by accident. Nevertheless, there was probably a miscommunication from our side which we do apologize. Regarding our pool towels, it's the hotel's policy to be kept in a safe and well-organized place in order to make sure that are cleaned and disinfected properly. We are constantly seeking to improve our services, therefore, feedback from our guests is very valuable to us. Your recommendations regarding our resort have already been implemented. You will always be more than welcome if you ever decide to visit Corfu. Thank you for staying with us again and for your informative review Warmest Regards, Alexandros Mavridis The Hotel Manager Akron Seascape Resort Hotel

The hotel is good, well laid out, and not too large. The pool is a decent size, with a staffed pool bar and a self service snack bar. We never had to wait for a table in the restaurant, or a sunbed at the pool, so plenty to go around. The sunbeds have a very thick spongy mattress which is the most comfortable I have laid on. The restaurant served pretty much the same food every day, which is to be expected in an all-inclusive place. I have no complaints about the quality, just it could be a little more diverse especially with the dessert. We had a swim up room which was great - no complaints with the room, cleanliness, size of swim up pool.
The hotel is in a great location, and I thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the Canal d'amour daily. Like others, I found the day trippers on organised visits to canal d'amour walking through the bar area a little odd as there was no check on who was coming in and out of the hotel grounds.
We were all-inclusive but went out twice to try nearby restaurants, all of which are in easy walking distance. No need to book a restaurant as they are only 50% full at best. There are only a handful of shops, but you do have a small 'super market' and gift shop. Pharmacy is also within walking distance.
Take insect repellent and use it every evening. You'll be grateful you did!
I have a few little moans in that
The quality of soft drinks from the dispensers was bad
The pool bar ran out of ice
Our safe was not working on arrival and I pointed this out to staff when we were shown to our room. Despite several chase ups, it was never fixed.
No soap in our shower of bath dispensers, and only two small bottles of shower gel supplied and not replaced.
None of these issues are big, and certainly didn't spoil our holiday or upset us. However, this hotel is meant to be 4 star and it's not. It's 3 star. These issues are easily rectified and will bring the hotel back to a true 4 star. It felt like the management were cutting corners to save a few euros here and there, bearing in mind there have been 2 very lean seasons. If an Akron Seascape management team member reads this, please spend those extra couple of euros, and you will truly have an exceptional hotel. Your hotel is well cared for, has all the facilities, and your staff are great and a credit to you, just stop cutting a few little corners please.

Had 7 nights here and this was our first holiday with a swim up room which is now on my wish list for every holiday.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Upon arrival we were shown our room and then taken on a tour around the hotel.
We were very fortunate to get swim up room 110 which had a larger terrace and was in the sunshine all day. I must say the pool temperature was a little on the cold side but as they say when you get in it’s not too bad.
Food is ok and always something there even for the fussy eaters. There wasn’t a huge selection but you could always find something. there were a lot of wasps during our visit we were told it was grape season which always attracts them. Maybe put covers on the jams/honey etc et which might deter them or get one of the bug zappers installed.
We did find that we were bitten quite a bit by the mozzys so I would recommend taking something either a plug in or some spray which might deter them.
Overall a great hotel if you’re looking a laid back experience. Yes it’s near canal d’amour but the visitors to that didn’t really affect our holiday.
Pool towels were provided and these could be changed daily. Room was cleaned daily. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room as well as a fridge and the safe was free to use.
Finally if you are travelling here I would suggest you consider a private taxi transfer as the travel companies state it could be up to 2 hours transfer time. We decided to pre book a taxi from the airport (& back again) rather than wait for the coach transfer. Taxi took 45-60 minutes and was very reasonably priced.

We have just left Akron after a wonderful week there. We have had the best time, and really feel that we lucked out choosing there for our holiday.

The food is delicious. The breakfasts have the same staples every day, with a few changes to keep things fresh. The lunches change every day, with again a few key staples. Every night has a different themed food night, offering a good variety of dishes and flavours.

There is different entertainment every evening, I’ll admit one of the bands was a little questionable, but overall it was good throughout the week.

The location is stunning - 2 minutes from Canal D’Amour, incredible views from the restaurant, and an easy walk into the busier parts of Sidari if that’s your thing.

The only reason I’m deducting a star from my overall review is that I found the bed VERY hard and uncomfortable. To survive the week I raided the cupboards in our room to find spare duvets and wedged these between the mattress topper and the sheets to make it bearable. If you love a firm bed, you’d be in your element, but for me it was just too much. That being said, we made it work.

Some reviews have said that the finishing in some areas needs work, round the pool or in rooms - and yes, perhaps it’s true in some places, but it’s such a minor part of the experience it really doesn’t matter, and for me speaks of the usual Greek charm, and didn’t bother me in the slightest.

The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, the service at meals is so quick to clear and tidy, and every person we met was so welcoming and pleasant. I can’t speak higher of them.

I can only hope we get lucky and visit Corfu and Akron again ❤️

First of all let's get the rubbish complaints out of the way. The swimming pool is pristine and cleaned every day by a very friendly man called Marcus who worked his flip flops off every day the hotel cannot be held responsible for filthy people who wash themselves in the pool those kind of sub council rubbish should stick to Skegness or Blackpool. Second the food is varied and there is something for everyone from octopus and squid and fish to pizza lasagne to chips and pasta. The head chef Kostas is a very friendly man and his staff are top class. The waiter who is also called Kostas is helpful friendly and always smiling. The head of house who's is called Dena is very friendly, funny, polite and taught me greek thank you Dena. The bar staff are very very friendly and I can't fault them I certainly would not have the patience with the rude and ignorant guests that they have to put up with. Anyway all in all top class. From the moment we arrived at Akron Seascape Resort the staff were amazing. Check-in formalities were conducted swiftly and we were welcomed with a cold drink which was most welcome. Reception staff were friendly, explained how things worked and showed us to our room. Our room had been upgraded to a swim up room which meant the holiday was an immediate success for our 9 years old son! Our room was spacious and clean with everything you would expect or need. Cleaning staff were so friendly with towels and bedding changed regularly. The air-con unit worked well. A private terrace area leads you straight to the swim up pool which was shared with a few other rooms. The terrace also had two comfortable sun loungers so you can relax and sunbathe from your hotel room. The main pool area was a short walk away. Sun loungers were available at any time of the day so no need to set alarms and place towels to claim a spot. As some rooms have their own pool and Canal D’Amour is so close to the hotel it means space around the main pool area is always available. We stayed the last week in July and first week of August when the hotel was at full capacity so it’s fair to assume this will be true all year round. The pool and pool bar area are both excellent with the hardworking staff always on hand to cater to your needs. It is well worth taking the one minute walk to Canal D’Amour to view the spectacular sunsets. The main restaurant area also has spectacular views and the food is of excellent quality. Local dishes are mixed with a good selection of meat and fish dishes as well as salads always being available. There is usually also an option of pizza and chips for younger (and older) diners. The Sidari main street and beach are a gentle 10 to 15 minutes stroll away. Here there is a good variety of bars, restaurants and shops if you want to explore beyond the confines of the hotel. A thoroughly relaxing holiday was made possible due to the undoubted charm of Sidari and Corfu and the wonderful hard working staff of Akron Seascapes. This is a rare occasion where I would return to the same hotel and resort due to the amazing time we had. Huge thanks to all the staff for a memorable holiday.

We had a wonderful stay at Akron Seascapes, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived in the early hours of the morning due to unexpected delays with our flight, the reception staff were exceptionally on our arrival. Drinks were offered and they did not rush us to get checked in. When we were ready for our room,we were brought to our room and showed around it,then a plate of food was brought to us,the room had tea, coffee making facilities,a fridge, safety deposit box which we did not have to pay extra,in other places we have stayed you had to pay extra for the safe and sometimes rent a kettle from reception.
The room was spacious with a beautiful balcony,I wonderful walk in shower, with a powerful hairdryer in the bathroom also, the room was cleaned wonderfully every day,the cleaning staff were friendly and gracious to us. The buffet restaurant was spacious and a 2min walk from the building we stayed in,the views from it were nice too. The food was always hot and was a delicious, there was always some local dishes which I enjoyed very much, with some stable dishes that any one would enjoy, the deserts were superb, the staff were friendly and attentive our empty plates never sat long on our table. We were all-inclusive the wines and beer in the restaurant were delightful, I tried a few of the daily cocktails they were made per costumer no premixed in a bottle, the bar staff were brilliant and friendly, happy to make recommendations if you weren't sure what ya wanted. The pool area was clean and tidy, lots of sunloungers, you got a free beach towel from the hotel everyday if you wanted, the views of the canal d'amour were beautiful,we got up early and watches the sunrise on our last morning it was breathtaking. The entertainment at night was excellent they had so fantastic entertainers the greek music night, greek dancing night were my favourite, they also had a djs by the pool bar duri g the day they were very good.
Thank you very much to all the staff and management at Akron seascapes for a wonderful stay.
