St Jean Pied de Port was our jumping off point for the Camino de Santiago in mid October. The weather is dry and comfortable due to altitude and the season. Didn't yet purchase a sim for the phone so I had to rely on memory to find the hotel. It required a short walk and a loop but its unique architecture allowed it to shine a little. I waited to check in because of the limited hours the front desk is open only to find that an envelope with my name was stuck to the office door. Wish I knew that so that we could have dumped our packs first and even more, had the taxi drop us at the door. As it was, my daughter enjoyed a nice nap in the sun while I scouted out the hotel. Its close enough to what you require and a small grocery is less than a 100 yards away on the main road. The room was tired. It was functional though and I've stayed in far worse for work and for play. But, for the money, the room was overpriced. I'm normally not persnickety about things like that but I was traveling with my kid and I wanted us to have a great sleep before walking over the Pyrenees Mountains into Spain the next day. The folks in the front office were nice enough but no additional services were required or offered. So, this was a $40 a night type of hotel stay that we paid much more for.

Dirty smelly rooms. Pool area is lovely though not sure about how often they empty/hygiene check water quality. Has potential to be lovely, village nearby is lovely but rooms smell, badly. Stay somewhere else.

Our accommodation was first of all cramped due to the configuration of the suite. The room smelled of animal urine; it was so bad that we had to go to a local store to purchase air fresheners. The staff were helpful but this didn't aleve the situation. I would not stay here again if they paid me.

Old, and a little tired, but clean, and comfortable, with everything you need. Heated pool was a great bonus, well priced accommodation, easy walk from the bus stop, for hikers coming from Pamplona. Close to restaurants and shops for an easy start to the Camino.
