We really enjoyed staying at 'Top Floor' B&B. The room has the kitchenette, bed area, and little sitting area next to the large windows. The host couple are very kind and thoughtful. The room was warm and extremely comfortable: super nice bed, hot shower, lovely view, super-clean, everything you need is in the room.

I especially like that the continental breakfast was in the room. Sharon had everything we needed right there: fresh fruit, bread and toaster with fantastic little jams, tea, coffee maker, water kettle, odds and ends in the mini-fridge, little chocolates...... it's all good!

You walk just one block to a great beach walking trail. The beach-town is quiet and friendly, with lots of little shops, cafe's, restaurants. (I'm going to greatly miss this little bakery down the street. Freakin' outstanding!)

This was our best B&B experience in NZ until now! Our Garden Room was nicely decorated, stylish and comfortable. Our view from bed to garden was so nice. Beautiful "secret" garden! Sharon and Darren are super friendly, welcoming and easygoing hosts.

Breakfast items, snacks, Nespresso and even filtered water, high standard in every single detail. Location is very good, quiet but in the middle of town. Nice restaurant Sobranos just round the corner and several cafes, too. Very nice visit, we really recommend Top Floor B&B!

It's the little touches that make this place so special. Like the fruit bowl and the fluffy, soft dressing gowns. Hosts are amazing and leave you to it, but I'm sure would be super helpful if you needed them to be. Lovely view, very relaxing and close to everything.

If you want to make a stop at paraparaumu you have to stop at Top Floor B&B! It was just amazing !
We were here with my partner for a restful week end and thanks to Sharon and Darren it was a perfect one!
The room was just as we wanted it. Enough room, the view just stunning, clean and tidy.
Everything was already in the room for our breakfast the next day, so lovely presented and many choices.
We were welcomed by Sharon and her 2 lovely dogs, she was so nice, it really was a pleasure to stay in their place.

2 bedroom B&B. Only an overnight stay but could have settled in! The Garden Room was an absolute delight. My parents were in the Top Floor Room and were very comfortable. Owners were sooo nice, and especially considerate of my mobility issues (travelling with a factured ankle is not fun!). Everything you could need in the rooms, location was great, breakfast was delicious and healthy!

This would have to be hard to beat. Every little detail exceptional from furnishings to beautiful flowers, fruit, nibbles, magazines and a great breakfast. Sharon is the perfect host and we adored Lily and Rubles. Didn't get to beach due to weather but ate in a lovely Italian Restaurant very close by.
Only negative is that we only had one night there.

Secluded studio apartment behind the owners’ house. Two chairs, a table and an umbrella on the entry deck, in the midst of a lush garden. Double glass doors provide plenty of light — and air when it’s warm. Sleek, modern, well-equipped kitchenette, comfortable bed and great shower. Waiting was a loaf of delicious multi-grain bread, grapes, cherry tomatoes, granola, selection of teas and coffee, etc. Owners Darren and Sharon couldn’t be nicer. Plus Darren is an architect, so the place was full of imaginative details we are going steal for our next remodel. (Bathroom sink is a hollowed-out rock. “Curtains” are sliding barn doors fitted to the 30° sloped window sills. Etc.) Plus, the beach and many restaurants and stores are within blocks. This would definitely be our first choice if we ever return.

Sharon was extremely welcoming when we arrived and made sure we had everything we needed. I was happy to learn about her and Darren's two Russian terriers, but Sharon was quick to ask if either of us were nervous of dogs, just in case.

The room was great (albeit, as the name suggests, at the top floor, so best pack light!), with lovely view to the beach, and everything you needed, including some snacks and a fruit bowl.

The breakfast arrangement was perfect. Everything was available to prepare for yourself whatever time you wanted, which suited us as we had an early booking for Kapiti Island. Cereals, bread for toast, fresh orange juice, great coffee, and delicious yoghurts and jams.

Parking is available on the drive, and our hosts were kind enough to allow us to park there for another night, while we stayed overnight on Kapiti Island.

A great stay, with friendly, helpful hosts and in a brilliant location.

Great choice for our birthday celebration weekend. Beautifully appointed with attention to detail. I don’t think we realised we would be staying in a wing of someone’s house when we booked but this was fine as we really only had to go through Darren’s office to access the stairway to our suite. We were given a front door key and could come and go as we pleased. The suite was an amazing space complete with a walk in dressing room, study area as well as ensuite bathroom and a kitchen like area with a fridge stocked with goodies. The views even on a less than beautiful day were stunning. Two very comfortable chairs sat in the window space and were a great place to have our complimentary ore dinner snacks and drinks. A warm welcome on arrival from Sharon, Darren and the two very large but friendly and gentle Russian terrier dogs. Our only grizzle was that the bed was just too firm for both of us and we did not get our usual restful nights sleep on either of the nights of our stay.
There was a minor problem with the toilet and a blown fuse but that was quickly attended to. A great place to stay!

Greated like long lost friends, Sharon and Darren were lovely.
our room was upstairs and on the corner with great big windows with a stunning view of Kapiti Island. Nothing was a bother and everything we wanted was included.
Continental breakfast in our room when we wanted it. It was all provided we just had to decide when.
The fruit basket was nice and those yummy chocolates.
The bed was very comfortable and the ensuite provided all your needs.
One street back from the water, but right in town so walked to our dinner venues.
Thank you for a fabulous time.
