Good value for money. Beds comfy, lots of pillows. Nice spa bath. Housekeeping came in on our second day and brought fresh crockery, made bed etc. Electric blankets on beds. Roomy and very clean. Opposite the train station and bus stops so an easy commute into Wellington. Nice area out back to sit in the sunshine. Very quiet. No complaints at all.

Even though our proposed trip to Kapiti Island was cancelled due to bad weather, we (all 17 of us) still travelled up from Wellington Airport for the night. We felt cancelling 6 rooms would not be kind after all the Covid disruptions the motor lodge must’ve been through. We returned to Wellington the next morning. Hope the manager appreciated us doing this as it would have been much easier rebooking for a Wellington hotel.
Our room was very nice with comfortable bed and great shower over a bath. The lighting in the bathroom is terrible!! The fruit and water bottles were appreciated. Nice and close to a Countdown which was useful for supplies.
The rest of my family were in very generous sized suites perfect for families.

We were lucky to get a room due to a cancellation, well appointed room with real milk provided in a milk jug. Host was friendly, professional and welcoming. A full house, but come 9pm, all was quiet. Spa bath in the room was wonderful

The most appalling customer service I have ever experienced! Room 5 reeked of fish and despite airing remained uninhabitable. Proprietor was incredibly rude, dismissive and denied any issue and did nothing to remedy situation. Would not even partially refund the two night stay. Lovely housekeeping staff had tried for 2 weeks to eliminate smell but to limited avail. Ended up bunking in with family in another room. Great location however would not recommend based on principle.

Check in was easy and efficient, very friendly and welcoming with everything ready. Room was amazing as had a balcony and could keep the sliding door open to let the cool breeze in.
Really enjoyed the spa bath on both nights, was cool and relaxing, 1st after a long drive down and then after a busy day out coming back to enjoy the spa bath.

What a great place to stay...it has everything you would like to have in a motor lodge.
Very clean...more than we expected. This is reasonable for price, close to shopping, activities, relaxing, quiet, and had extras like a spa bath.
NO negatives for this well run motor lodge...had the little extras...yep sweets at the office even.
Would book and stay again

We booked a suite for our family of four. It was everything we needed, a great location, close to Coastlands and restaurants and just a short drive to the beach. The room was clean and quiet with a spa bath in the bathroom. It was rather a hot night though and the ceiling fan only seemed to have one speed. I mentioned it to the owner so hopefully something can be done about it. The kitchen was also very well equipped.

Excellent service, clean and well provisioned room. Just a one night stop for Mum and son due to sporting competitions in the area. No issues with noise. Easy parking. Simple check in check out - including after hours if we had needed it. Nice and close to shopping centre, eateries and a short drive to the beach
