Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Four of us stayed for three nights in a two bedroom unit at this motel. While not super fancy, it was spacious, clean, had comfy beds, was warm and had a really well appointed kitchen. It was appropriately priced and was a good deal. The hosts were very friendly and it was easy to book. I will stay there again. Thank you

The four of us had more than enough room in the large 2 bedroom unit. The unit was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. The heat pump kept the whole unit warm. The car parking out the front of the unit was a squeeze at times.

We stayed overnight on our way to Taranaki. This motel is on a main road so was noisy throughout the night with trucks and being an older building isn’t double glazed. However it was clean and comfortable, reasonably priced and the hosts were helpful and charming.

Good accommodation close to Te Awamutu town centre. Really clean facilities, included everything our family needed for an overnight stay. One bedroom with a Queen bed, one bedroom with two singles. Good breakfast options provided (additional to room price).

The hosts were very helpful and friendly, and the rooms were very tidy, clean and comfortable. Not too far to town where there is everything you need. Plenty of parking and although I didn't use, there is also extra parking for large vehicles. I will definitely be back.

Stayed here for 3 nights while on vacation in New Zealand. We chose to stay here as a central location to get to Raglan and Waitomo Caves area. The motel has a nice, quiet location but is also close to town. Very kind and welcoming hosts. Good laundry facilities and reasonably priced internet. Rooms are very clean and well-equipped but decor was somewhat outdated. Room contained microwave, stove-top burners, mini-fridge, phone, TV, hairdryer. We very much enjoyed our stay here.

Location was easy to find - on the road out of Te Awamutu going to Kihikihi. Lovely motel - really clean inside units and out. Very pleasant ambience in units with the comforts of home. Great range of microwave utensils if cooking own meal. Best of all was the most comfortable bed have had in accommodation stayed in for a long time. Awesome crispy white sheets that felt so cosy. Great extra hospitality touches - eg milk in a bottle, nice lighting, fluffy towels. Thanks for your hospitality Paul and Catherine - true hospitality hosts.

Booked into the Rosetown Motel as it had the only two bedroom motel unit available in town. The room was warm and comfortable, and the beds were great. But at $200 per night (2 Adults & 2 Children) felt this was over priced. The room was very dated, not enough plugs in the right places, very low pressure shower ...

Granted, the Motel is under new ownership, and I was taken to another room to see what they were doing (new kitchen and bathroom fittings). But in the meantime perhaps price the "un-refreshed" room accordingly.

Nice size for our family of 5 aged 18-52. It was very clean. Lady at counter was very friendly. Coffee, tea, and biscuits were included. Free Wi-fi. 30 minutes drive to Waitomo. 25 minutes walk to downtown restaurants.

It is super to hear that our motel was suitable for your family and you were happy with the presentation of your unit. I trust you enjoyed your stroll to the restaurants on a nice summers evening and you had a pleasant drive to Waitomo Caves. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Kind regards Cheryl and James

Comfortable older motel on the outskirts of town. Perfect for an overnight stay. Nothing flas but everything worked and although it is on the main road I slept solidly thanks to the bed comfort and cosy nature of the room.

Five years is long time to wait for a refund! It is not our policy to withhold a refund, especially when a cancellation is due to ill health and I am confused as to how this was overlooked. If you send an email with the dates in question, we would be happy to resolve this issue.
