Stopped here for a Waikato and I must say it was cold not like the service which was warm. Thanks for the pleasent surprise. If you are crushing state hwy one call in for a pukeko and bull pie, the best.

We stopped here for lunch today. The burgers were very nice and filling. The Latte was also nice and well made. It was nice to sit down out of the car and have a nice lunch. Will definitely return one day.

Honestly we stopped at this restaurant because it had advertised on the outside that inside they offered venison sandwiches. I couldn't pass that up before I left New Zealand. Unfortunately they had that item scratched from the menu inside due to new owners recently taking over the place. I was disappointed but I had a hungry family to feed.
So, myself and my two children had burgers and my wife had lamb curry pie. So, I've been ranting about the non fast food burgers I've had in New Zealand and I was extremely surprised that this burger fit into that category. It was awesome!
I've been describing the beef patty to many as this: In the US we bite a chunk off and have to chew it up. But, every non fast food burger place we visited the beef melted in my mouth. I guess either they get there meat fresh from the butcher every day, or there is something special about New Zealand burgers in general.
Nothing I ate tasted frozen, everything tasted fresh except the fries (chips). I would recommend this restaurant in a heart beat to anyone.
Just remember, no venison sandwiches.
