A lovely boutique hotel at the very end of the world! So cool! The couple are very accomodating and booked us into the Oyster Cove right next door for dinner. The rooms are well appointed and decorated and the bed was super cozy for the winters evening that we were there! We will be back for sure! We didn’t even realise when we booked that breakfast is included so that was a nice surprise and the view was just outstanding too! There was a continental breakfast to help yourself to and then you could have eggs done which ever way you choose! If you are going to stay in Bluff this is the place to stay!
Great views from a special location but best of all was the top of the line service from the friendly owners and staff - nothing was too much trouble. They allowed use of the dining room (including access to the inbuilt fire!) free of charge for a brief business meeting
Great family suite. Robes provided but only for 2 and there was 4 of us. Plus one was already dirty. Over $400 for one night. Breakfast...owner didn't understand what gluten free bread was. So I had fruit, blueberries with tinned peaches and natural yoghurt which was nice. My family had eggs on toast.
Super location. With nothing between here and the Antarctic. Our room was super cosy. From the window could see the fishing trawlers coming and going. Just missed a pod of dolphins. Lovely obliging hosts. There is a restaurant next door. Serving delicious Bluff oysters
We had a fantastic stay here, the room was perfect and had an amazing view. We also ate at the Oyster Cove restaurant next door (which I think they might also own), the meal was delicious and we would highly recommend both the hotel and restaurant.
We stayed here at the start of driving the Southern Scenic Route. Andy was really welcoming, nothing was too difficult. The view from our room was great, dining room are views stunning. Lovely breakfast. I highly recommend, we will most certainly stay here again.
We booked and paid this pre covid,so we finally got to use our credit voucher this year....Worth the wait! Sure the ownership has changed, and the place looked weathered. But the new management are onto it. Definitely quiet, very comfy, and a picture postcard outlook make this a great stay,be it one or more nights... Yes it's not cheap, but why not endulge yourself once in a while... Excellent eatery next door, and plenty of activity to watch out of the windows...
Nice Hotel. I think the owners were new because things didn't feel totally smooth, but clearly trying really hard to create a great experience. Little things to fault such as bin not being empty from last resident. Overall a nice place to stay in Bluff. Great views of the sea and end of Bluff from the room.
Clean and fresh , pretty basic motel type really , expectations were higher so a little let down after traveling so far . Aircon was broken, door lock was broken, Had to ring noise control at 4am as party coming from a camper outside, fireworks and people coming down all hours through the night to do wheelies. The view was lovely however
The Lands End is a nice small hotel located at the very southern point of the south Island and across from the famous sign post that marks the end (or beginning) of the #1 highway. Rooms with a view are well worth the small extra price.
