It is hard to make any complaints about this motel. It was a last minute booking for me, and at peak Christmas period most other places were booked. Morrinsville is often overlooked, but in fact is in a very central spot and handy to Miranda and Mt Te Aroha (for walking tracks and waterfall) and it isn't far from Matamata/Hobbiton. The room was immaculate; bed comfortable; kitchen fine; hot and powerful shower; WiFi stable and fast. It was particularly hot during my stay - temperature 25 - 27 degrees. The rooms don't have air conditioning but they do have a good (quiet) ceiling fan and with the windows open I was pleasantly cool. It is a just a short walk down the main street to the shops, supermarkets and cafe's, yet the road is quiet because the main traffic is diverted onto a bypass. I would happily stay there again.

We stayed with others on a car rally based in Morrinsville, using several units.
The motel hosts were very nice and the complex was immaculate, inside and out.
Our unit was serviced daily, including replacing milk, tea, and coffee, and fresh towels.
The price was very reasonable and this would be one of the best motels we have ever stayed in. Very highly reccommended.

We stay here several times a year when we’re up (from Wellington) visiting family in Morrinsville.

As always, this stay was great. Jan and David are excellent hosts. Parking is easy and level, and even though the motel was full most nights we always had a park right outside our room.

Hubby and I stayed for four nights in late July in room 12, a one bedroom unit. Very comfortable and spacious and very well appointed. It has a very efficient heatpump which was needed some nights as it was quite cold.

My sister lives in Thames, and we picked her up on the Tuesday and she stayed in room 8 for two nights. Her unit was a studio room, but once again very comfortable, well appointed and spacious.

We had trouble with the wifi in our room one evening, it simply wouldn’t work whereas the rest of the time it had worked fine and was fast and reliable. David was really helpful, he tried to find the problem and brought in a meter to check the signal strength, which came in and out intermittently. When he couldn’t get it to work after trying several different things, he phoned their internet provider and they created a completely new connection in the list for us to use, and it worked well. Thank you very much David.

We will be back to Morrinsville in several months time for another family visit, guess where we’ll be staying!

Hubby and I stayed for four nights in late November in room 12, a one bedroom unit. Very comfortable and spacious and very well appointed. It has a very efficient heatpump which we used a couple of nights as the weather was much warmer than we are used to. Kept the rooms cool and we got a good night’s sleep.

Hot Tip: if you are a little unsteady on your pins like me and my sister, they have a rubber mat to put down in the shower – just ask.

We stayed here for four nights in mid June to catch up with family who live around the Morrinsville area. We've stayed here a couple of times before when visiting family.

As always the room was very clean and tidy, and the hosts very friendly and helpful. We had a one-bedroomed unit, it was very roomy and had excellent facilities. Huge bathroom with a great shower. Nice heatpump that worked really well during the cold winter nights, warmed up the rooms very quickly. A nice comfortable bed. Easy car parking directly across the courtyard from our room.

Will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Morrinsville.

This is, without doubt, one of the best motels we've ever stayed at. We were in a 1-bedroom unit (#12) for a 5 night stay. It smelled beautiful. Everything was spotless, and everything we needed was in there. Our rooms were serviced every day, and each time we returned it smelled beautiful all over again.

The bed was a firm but comfortable king size with a warm duvet. We'd brought winter pjs with us after looking at the weather forecast, but we needn't have done so. The unit is double-glazed and the heat pump very efficient. We were snug and warm.

There was a sofa and an easy chair, a table with chairs and a coffee table. All these furnishings were clean and comfortable. There was a safe in the wardrobe.

We were surprised and delighted by how quiet the motel was. We slept like logs.

I can't recommend this place more highly. One of the owners told me they like to keep a high standard - and they have succeeded in this. Well done, and thank you for having us.

Three of us shared a one bedroom unit, using the sofa bed for the third person. The unit was immaculate in every aspect, from the pots and pans to the bathroom. Quality drapes kept the rooms dark for sleeping and the small kitchen was a bonus. The motel has a laundry to use for a charge which was a plus for us, and the grounds are well kept. Great location and the owners are to be congratulated for their commitment to high standards.

We stayed here for three nights in late June on a roadtrip to catch up with family who live around the Morrinsville area. We've stayed here several times before when visiting family.

As always the room was very clean and tidy, and the hosts very friendly and helpful. This trip we were in room 12, a one bedroom unit down the back of the motel.

Well, not a camper as much as motel guest. Spent 2 nights here recently on business, and my room was superior in many respects. Very clean, well appointed, and spacious. Excellent shower with nice hot water pressure. Host was very welcoming and I got the feeling that nothing would have been a problem. Overall an excellent and very pleasant stay. Would return in a heartbeat.

We stay here every time we travel north (from Wellington) to visit family in the Waikato.

The Motor Lodge is consistently clean and well maintained. Jan and David are lovely hosts and nothing is too much trouble.

This trip (mid January 2022) we were in unit 15 for four nights. My sister stayed in unit 8 for two nights during our stay.

Unit 15 was a studio right at the back of the property. It's very big for a studio, we were very happy with it.

My sister was very impressed with the quietness of her room, even though it's on a main road there is virtually no traffic noise at all.

We were required to show our vaccine passes at the office which we all very happily did.

We'll definitely be staying here again when we next visit my family. Thank you Jan and David.
