We highly recommend the Pedlar's Motel, particularly for cyclists enjoying the Hauraki Rail Trail. The rooms were well thought-out with a very comfortable bed, fabulously strong shower and welcoming touches, including biscuits, plunger coffee and chocolates. The motel is adjacent to the trail and Terry, the owner, took our bikes on arrival, charged them and had the ready the next morning. Walk to the town for dinner and cafes.

A great stay after finishing a Hauraki rail trail ride. A friendly welcome and secure storage for our bikes. The room was great, clean, tidy and with all the comforts of home. The shower was awesome, plenty of pressure and hot water. Close to eateries, it's a great spot and will definitely return as we complete more trails in the area.

We have stayed at the Pedlar's Motel before and liked it enough to return. So it was a disappointment to encounter such rude staff. The motel itself is small, clean, tidy and with comfortable beds and a good shower. There is air conditioning and a selection of teas etc so all good in that respect. It's just a shame that the receptionist is so sour because it undoes all the good work of the other staff.

Modern clean and friendly team. Very helpful and a great choice of place to stay . In the center of town handy to everything with the cycle trail at your door. Top experience all round. And if you like a fantastic meal try Kumar's just up the road best Indian meal I have had for ages!

A very well appointed room with a very special bathroom and kitchenette. The lady that greeted us was very helpful and directed us to interesting walks nearby. The motel is very convenient for the town and cycle track.

Lovely motel, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, studio room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great shower. Excellent value for money. Manager Terry was very friendly and kindly booked us a table at restaurant '3 one 3' which is right next door. Our meal at restaurant was very enjoyable. Thank you Terry.

Really comfortable and impeccably clean room. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Room was well equipped, small and compact but had everything you need. Very convenient to many restaurants and easy parking. Filtered drinking water was an added bonus.

Lovely motel, well placed for the Rail Trail and access to the Karangahake Gorge. Clean and well equipped, excellent value for money and very friendly staff. As a bonus the pub next door does excellent food!
