Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Stayed at this lovely b&b. The hosts Tricia and Mike were a joy to talk to. We were in the downstairs apartment, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds and when we returned in the evening a log fire had been lit, totally amazing😀
The breakfasts were delicious, home made muesli, yoghurt, scrummy home made jams and marmalade. We totally recommend this wonderful, wonderful b&b and will definitely stay again.

Great hosts and very spacious room with easy access. Ideal for Hauraki rail trail which starts on the next corner! Two single beds with en suite, mini fridge, working desk and coffee table. We had some difficulty with the wifi and cell phone data connection while in the room but this did not really matter to us. Highly recommended.

Lovely hosts who made us very welcome and a great breakfast with homemade jams. The accommodation is in a quiet street with easy access to the Hauraki Rail Trail. The room was spacious with sofa, twin beds, modern bathroom and TV.

Can’t think of a single bad thing to say about this place. Trisha and Mike are wonderful hosts and as far as the room is concerned we couldn’t have asked for more.

Fantastic accommodation and company along with a beautiful breakfast where everything is homemade except the tea and bread.

If I’m ever out this way again I’ll be staying here. 10/10

The room was upstairs with two separate bedrooms and a shared toilet and bathroom. Perfect setup for two friends biking. However, the bed was musty and the queen was hard. The bathroom vanity had had two taps replaced with a mixer and patched and the bowl had multiple cracks in the base. Breakfast is not cooked but continental, nice with homemade preserves and freshly squeezed juice. The cost $70 each. House is very tired with wallpaper coming off and needs a good spruce up. Hosts very hospitable

We loved our stay. I stayed for two nights with my two teenage daughters who appreciated the fast and free internet. The beds were super comfortable and our hosts had added electric blankets and heaters to the rooms as it was getting chilly at night. One room had a mini fridge which came in handy for our lunches, the other had a TV which we didn't use as there was so much to do in the area. Breakfast was nothing short of amazing, homemade yoghurt, fruit from the garden, homemade jellies and muesli, toast. Our hosts were kind, caring and shared lots of interesting information about the area. We loved our stay and we will definitely be back.

A very comfortable house on a hillside location just outside the centre of Paeroa. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable, and guests have a lounge with a DVD player. They can also use the attractive garden, which is frequented by native birds. The property owners, Trish and Mike, are very welcoming and really make you feel like one of the family. They also sell a delicious selection of health foods.

An excellent find! Trish was very helpful with dietary needs and even offered to collect us from our meal in town when it was a little far for my husband to walk. (We had no car). The accommodation was great - spacious room, comfortably single beds and separate sitting area with tea and coffee facilities and free WiFi. Shower/WC room was very compact but handy. Great breakfast with home-grown stewed fruit, home-made yogurt, cereal and toast with plunger coffee or tea. It was very quiet and blinds effectively blocked morning light.I would have preferred fresh hand basin soap and bath mat and face washer (flannel in NZ) but these would only have made a great stay perfect!

Tricia and Mike were very friendly hosts and welcomed us with a glass of beer on their patio when we arrived in the late afternoon. We were the only guests, and had a roomy bedroom with a small refrigerator, a separate sitting room with a sofa and two comfy chairs, a TV for playing DVDs, a bathroom, and a separate toilet, all on the upper floor of their two storey house. The guest rooms are part of the main living area of the house, and the bathroom isn’t an en suite, but it worked reasonably well. Breakfast is served with fresh organic fruit from their extensive garden, and is adequate but not elaborate. The location was very convenient for us, and we enjoyed our two night stay. We would stay there again if we returned to Paeroa.
