Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We spent two really nice days as a family traveling around the region. Super nice hotel and staff very attentive to our little needs - like at home and nothing is ever a problem for me. Upgrade on arrival, umbrellas for the beach, late check out. Parking nearby and possibility of unloading suitcases in front of the hotel

Facilities were not available as mentioned. Room was small and the maintenance was below standard, mattress too hard. Very difficult to reach the hotel, hotel is situated in a car free centre, so had to park the car some where else. Staff were very friendly.

What about Margherita and Luigi, they welcomed and pampered me as if I were their relative, lovely friendly welcoming and helpful people, who these days are rare to meet. Central but quiet hotel secluded from the chaos of the night. Great breakfast with smile included. Cozy room with nice spacious and comfortable service. I would definitely recommend it and would return very willingly, to have a chat with the sparkling Margherita and gentleman Luigi.

Overall the stay was pleasant as the location was great, the apartment was nice spacious with an equipped kitchen and my room was nice big. The bathroom was average, quite clean and well furnished although the handle of the shower leaked some water (but the water flowed well cmq).
Breakfast was very good and varied.
The only serious flaw is that I was for 3 days without a stable and fast WI-FI connection and, despite my reminders, they could not solve the problem. I had to use my phone's connection to connect and this annoyed me enough.
I would have expected that for this reason they would eventually give me a small discount to make up for it and instead they pretended as if nothing had happened, saying that they could not find the old modem to put the new one and that the technician did not know when he could come.

For this reason I do not know if I will return again because, as I told the owner, WI-FI is a fundamental service and must work, but above all you must have a technician ready to intervene promptly in case of accidents like the one that occurred to me.

Very helpful, even though there was a language barrier. Great breakfast. Safe place to store my bike, and even made me a packed lunch for the following days cycling, which was much appreciated. Nice clean room. Great location. Perfecto!

It is centrally located in a small street in probably the most charming little town in Sicily, at a short walking distance from shops, restaurants and attraction. It is difficult to find it, even with a GPS, so ask for direction ahead. It is located in a small palazzo which underwent skillful and tasteful renovation. The nine rooms are all different, are quiet, well appointed and very comfortable. The common areas are equally tastefully decorated. The breakfast was superb, with a large variety of local produces. The owner and the staff are superb, knowledgeable and they make you feeling at home. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the accommodation and overall experience.

We arrived in Scicli for 2 nights on the day Italy went into Coronavirus lockdown. Perhaps unsurprisingly we were the only guests, all others having cancelled. We were warmly welcomed by Fabrizio who assured us that the hotel would remain open until our departure date, which was very reassuring. We were very happy with our accommodation and the hotel in general. Given that all restaurants in Scicli were closed from 6pm, we had time to assemble supper which we ate in the hotel's cafe. Breakfast was good and served by charming Margherita who did not let events outside affect her cheerful mood - just what we needed. We were delighted by Scicli and the Novecento is definitely the ideal place to stay.

We arrived about 4am instead of 9/10 pm, after a nightmare flight with Ryan Air, a hunt in the dark for our hire car & a nightmare journey from the airport.

From the minute we arrived, thanks to the help of a local bar owner, we were safe, warmly welcomed, nothing was too much trouble & each of the staff that we met, were kind & helpful. Thank you to the wonderfully kind night staff!

The car park is a short walk from the hotel, but because of my disability & illness, disabled parking next to the hotel, was found for me, by the staff.

We spent a week in this paradise, within this beautiful town & it was a wonderful way to begin our Sicilian adventure.

We would like to thank all of the staff, but particularly two members of that staff who were devoted to our welfare & that of the other guests.

We give this hotel 10* for hospitality, warmth, our room & we would go back there tomorrow if we could! We left with great sadness!

Thank you Hotel Novecento & Scicli💖
