Food was fantastic. Went for Sunday Lunch after a nice walk up by the Abbey.
Great Pub, Restaurant & Hotel. I couldn't recommend it more. Accepts Dogs which is really handy and attended a wedding there not so long ago too and staff were excellent.
Stayed overnight here and were very pleasantly surprised wit( the accommodation available. All rooms are named after deer. We stayed in the Silka room which had a beam running through it so you will need to duck if you need to use the bathroom! Room...More

Dear Frances H
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us...
I have passed your comments onto house keeping who are delighted that you have been so positive about their work!
Enjoyed our stay. Bar very well decorated, staff friendly, food good. Breakfast was excellent. One evening we decided to try the taster menu for £45 each. 7 courses, all were very tasty, some had unusual ingredients, but all tasted yummy. The village is very quaint,...More

Hi, from Petersfield go A3, M25, M40, M42N to junction 7 (M6N), M6 junction 10A towards Telford M54. Take junction 7 Wellington exit to B5061. Turn right, then left after .1ml (still the B5061). After about 6 miles, turn right onto Pelham Road and continue until you have passed over the A5. Turn left towards the school. The Haughmond is at the end of the road.
Google Maps is fine but it will take well over the three hours they suggest. (Of course, you could spend 3 hours on the M25!) We only got lost twice!
Enjoy your stay.
