We stayed in a small cottage, well designed with a small porch. Two cats "adopted " us instantly and felt like we are old friends visiting the place. We had a lovely sauna and a dip in a hot tub Serge prepared for us. What a treat! In the morning we were welcomed to a full breakfast in a very European setting. Serge offer to make eggs for us. Great stay! Highly recommend if you travel through Takaka.

This has to be the most amazing place on the planet! The host's, Serge and Marie, made it feel like home and were so accommodating and nothing was a problem for them. The breakfast was phenomenal 😋 and we have booked for next year already! I can not recommend a more comfortable and beautiful setting, from the hot pools right down to the gorgeous cats. I loved every minute of it.

This B&B is just beautiful, so pretty and the welcome and hospitality was just so lovely. We stayed in the cottage out the back with our 5 month old, it was big enough to pop in the co-sleeper next to the bed and the private garden was perfect for popping down the play mat. Hot tubs where so relaxing and the breakfast in thr morning was delish!

I would highly recommend this accomadation and cant wait to stay again.

We loved our stay here. Serge and Marie are such wonderful hosts with exceptional taste. Louise the cat has a great personality, she's like a dog! We loved using the sauna and spa, stargazing in the field, and the certainly the best brekkie we've ever had at an airbnb. Thanks for baking fresh bread each day! We will be back!

I loved the hot tub, sauna, pool, chill-out room, and the breakfast buffet was divine. Very nice setting and close enough to walk to town. Everything was nice and clean. I will try to go back and stay there again soon.

We stayed at Watapu Springs the night before walking the Heaphy Track. It was a perfect place to stay with absolutely lovely hosts. The spa was an added bonus and the breakfast amazing. Thanks Maree and Serge.

Hoping for a relaxing spa one Sunday afternoon to end our weekend away we dropped in here for the afternoon & were dismayed to share it with 4 young teenage girls who spent the whole time running round between both hot tubs, sauna, pool and tea room, slamming doors, screaming at the top of their voices, leaving litter round the tubs and all over the tea room. The pool was a total no go area with them pushing each other in and running round it. It was worse than a local swimming pool during school holidays. The owners were nowhere to be seen & when the pandemonium reached a crescendo we just had to leave. The volume of screaming coming from the pool, where the changing rooms are was so painful on the ears we couldn't get out of there fast enough. By the time we left, the rock music on the stereo had been cranked up to full volume and the whole town must have been able to hear it. Why couldn't the owners? As for the sign on the door which said that all kids must be supervised by an adult - I guess the owners don't abide by their own rules! A terrible way to end our holiday. Not what a spa should be.

We had a throughly lovely time here.
The rooms are clean and well presented with TV and tea and coffee making facilities.
Breakfast exceeded expectations with home made bread and jam plus cereal, fruit salad, eggs and chocolate!
Then there's a Spa. A lovely chilled out setting with sauna, cool pool and hot tubs.
Overall location is perfect for exploring and you can easily walk in to Takaka.
Hosts Marie and Serge are wonderfully warm and friendly and will make you feel totally at home.
I would love to stay here again and would highly recommend it.

It is not easy to give 5 stars to any business, but I have no hesitation whatsoever to give it to Waitapu springs. Not only are the owners (Serge and Mari) top quality, but the amazing breakfast and spa immediately gave an extra dimension to our stay. My first reaction to my partner was that I could easily live there. That was before I tasted the home-made bread!
Now I sincerely consider adoption. Keep up the good work and we will see you again!

Stayed for 3 nights over the New Year. Am not usually a fan of B&Bs but this is special place. Serge and Marie made us feel very welcome from arrival to departure. Breakfast was fab with home made bread, choice of eggs and a tasty continental spread. The wood fired sauna was really fab with 2 hot tubs, a pool and very cool decking area and chill out room. The pool was a cold pool which was good for a quick dip after a sauna but not for a swim. If the pool was heated and the spar open before 4pm they probably would never got shot of us. Our rooms were very clean and well maintained and the beds were comfortable. There was TV, Tea and coffee facilities and a good size wardrobe for hanging clothes. Was shared toilet and bathroom with a good shower and tastefully decorated and furnished. Their house was also tastefully furnished and you felt welcome to hang out in the open plan dinning/living room/kitchen area. Great stay and would recommend.
