This is the second time we've stayed at Adrift, and we're already plotting our return. Pefectly equipped chalets, three of them a few feet from the ocean, with unimpeded views of grass, sand, and water make you wonder if ever leaving would be such a good idea. The owners, who are charming, bring a basket of breakfast goodies every day...

My husband and I just completed a 6 night stay at Adrift that was utterly peaceful and rejuvenating (we kept extending our stay....couldn't leave!!) The cottages are impeccably clean and inviting, with fully stocked, compact kitchens, comfy beds with beautiful linens, robes, super large jacuzzi tubs, lavender bath products, and much more. The daily breakfast hamper is delicious, with three...

We stayed here for 4 nights and it's beautifully located with beach access. It's a long stretch of quiet beach and we made some great use of the SUP available to guests. It was windy a lot though and the beach is tidal which means can be a bit of a track to get into the water at times. There...

Adrift is beautiful and such an easy place to be - everything is provided and the cottages are private and self-contained so that you can do all your own food if you want to. Breakfast comes in a basket each day fresh fruit, home made yoghurt, croissants and home made preserves, and juice. Or eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc if...

We stayed over New Year for 4 nights. You would think you were the only ones there as it is peaceful and private. We had a beachfront cottage and loved it. Breakfast provisions were excellent, varied and quality products. We had access to the washing machine after 5 pm. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything required. We even...

Wow!! Seriously gorgeous and your home away from home in New Zealand -- Adrift packs it all in: romance, breathtaking scenery, sheer comfort and unbelievable value. Proprietors Bess and Gordon make you feel welcomed pampered and cared for -- like coming home to mom and dad for thanksgiving. Each cabin is beautifully appointed and offers total privacy. You literally have...

Adrift is a special retreat, we stayed in a beach front cottage that ticked all the boxes. The amenities were well considered and we wanted for nothing. Luxurious and soul soothing. We will visit again.

This is a beautiful place right at the sea with a great beach. There are 4 cottages, three with fantastic sea view, one a bite further back and has therefore only limited view. There is also a studio available with excellent view, garden and access to the beach. The sttudio doesn't have a kitchenette like the cottages, but the room...

Overlooking a beautiful white sandy beach, surrounded by seabirds (including the wonderful Tui's calling and dancing around). A relaxing and peaceful spot. Magic. An easy 10 minute drive to Takaka for food options.

Great that you enjoyed our peaceful little corner of New Zealand. It has been a good year of flowering for the many flax plants at Adrift so we have had an abundance of Tiu as they feed on the nectar the flaxes produce. We really appreciate you taking the time to write.
