Detailed Reviews
The New Prince Hotel is well situated for skiing with a great location next to the Furano Zone slopes and free ski storage lockers for each room. The rooms are clean and have the basics for a stay. The corner room was oddly laid out with the bathroom /toilet in one room then the sink in the hallway- try to avoid a corner room to have more usable space.
The hotel is not close to town without taking either an expensive taxi or bus (making sure to check the timetable first). The hotel dinner options were good but very expensive restaurants. We often ate at the bakery when tired.
We enjoyed our ski trip to Furano but would consider booking an apartment next time.

Great for a Japanese 3 day holiday but a bit remote for an Australian 7 day holiday. You are better off staying at the "old" Prince Hotel next to the town of Furano where you can wonder in and eat at a range of good restaurants at half the price to the hotel.
The new Price rooms are a little tired but well appointed. The views are stunning. The snow is great even though it is a cold resort - wear lots of thermals. The ski hire has a great selection of skis from slalom to powder skis.
I will be coming back again.

If you are planning to ski in Furano, this may be a good (and only?) ski and out option.
The software is really not bad. Service staff were good all round. The breakfast service is crowded but good quality (ikura served in the buffet and freshly baked croissants).
The hardware needs a reboot. The fabric on the chairs in my room were badly stained. there is no charging outlet for the mobile devices next to the bed. The onsen while decent is a very long walk from the rooms.
So my feelings are mixed. I would give it a 3.5 ranking if I could.

+1
We stayed here for 3N, 3 pax in two separate twin bedrooms, facing the mountains.
Snow Rental equipments can be made at the hotel itself. The slopes are wide and very suitable for beginners.
Full day Lift passes for hotel guest is 5500yen.
There’s a big gift shop where you can buy food, drinks and souvenirs.
They have both outdoor and indoor onsens within the hotel and it’s a good size.
Breakfast sets- you can choose from Westeen or Japanese sets. The only drawback is there’s no chances to the food served for the 4 days that we were there.
Free-flow furano milk and coffee and tea at breakfast.
There’s a free coffee station at the main lobby, 2-7pm daily.
Would recommend for skiers and snowboarders.
We drove there and parking is free. There’s free luggage trolleys on arrival also which is fantastic for huge baggages.

This hotel is straight out of the 80's. We stayed at one of the corner rooms, and it's like we time-traveled back, and not in a good way. The bathroom looks like the kind on a cruise ship, the furniture looks like a haul from a Holiday Inn garage sale circa early 1980s that it makes the small flatscreen tv looks out of place. Power plugs? sure, but it's in the form of power strips. The lighting fixtures still use incandescent light bulbs, heating up an already warm room in which the windows do not open. On the bright side, it is clean.
Perhaps this is the slow season in May, as there are plenty of parking spaces outside the hotel without having to go to the remote lot. The hotel has airport style luggage carts for you to carry your own bags to the room, notwithstanding the many staff standing in the lobby to greet guests. One of them did help us load our luggage into the rental car. Breakfast buffet is served in a huge banquet hall that'll remind you of your high school dance. The selection is decent, but nothing worth mentioning. It's food, and it'll tie you over until lunch.
On the plus side, the grounds are huge, and they include the picturesque Ningle Terrace. I think there's also a golf course but we didn't use it. The bar is the middle of the "forest" further away from Ningle Terrace, and it certainly has character. The lobby has a huge gift shop that includes many provisions almost like a 7-Eleven (about the same prices).
I can't speak to what it's like during ski season, but for a couple of days in May, it's perfectly serviceable for a small town like Furano.

Very poor service. Firstly, as we walked from the carpark to the reception, you will have 3 bell boys/ concierge standing in a line to greet you, but none of them will help you take the luggage. Secondly, I had booked 2 rooms and asked for the room to be together, i was given 2 rooms furthest away (one right at the lift lobby, the other one right beside emergency stairways), and changing room is not allowed, because "it is not allowed". Last but not least, we had dinner included and wanted to go for the buffet dinner, apparently we had made a booking at the wrong restuarant (still under the hotel), so the hotel receptionist told us they can't help us change it because it was written in the terms and conditions, but we can cancel it and pay 10,000yen per pax instead. The receptionist at the lobby picked up the phone and called someone, asked me to wait for awhile. Waited for 10min in front of the counter, she was awkwardly looking at me and nothing happened, and she repeats the same thing saying i need to pay 10,000yen per pax if i cancel when I asked her what are we waiting for. Asked for the manager, she said cannot. In the end, we had our dinner at the restuarant, and ended up having to top even though our room package is already inclusive of dinner. All these happened within 1 day. Very bad experience here with the way the hotel operates. Honestly, airbnb could be a much better choice. Very disappointing experience that all my friends wanted to check out the first thing in the morning. LOL.

Room still feel old, and many of the facilities require walk from the main hotel. Breakfast is so so, and the restaurants opening hours are different, so travel with young family not ideal. The ski place is extremely poorly managed. When we came only one lift operated and yet they brought 300 students in. Massive jam. Also the hotel English capability is very limited and management not very accommodating to the request

This was a 5 day stay in early December. We were lucky and got some good snowfall even in this past low snow year. Hotel staff service was cordial and professional. Please note that the green runs here might be a bit steep for pure beginners. Anyway, a wonderful ski holiday and we'll likely be back.

Stayed 2 nights. Corner room has a weird configurations. Room door opens into a long hallway facing the bathroom with a sink in the hallway and the bedroom off to the side via a door. The hotel is showing age but decently maintained as much as possible. The hardware seemed typical old style Japanese hotel. We had two rooms and somehow one room gets toiletry packs with coffee and another didn’t consistently.
Breakfast and dinner buffet had decent spreads but nothing impressionable. No porter service was provided.

This resort is running three lifts (one hour waits) with 10% of the mountain. They cannot tell you when they might open more lifts. The snow pack is more than adequate with other near by resorts like kamui links fully open.
Also get an ATM. How many years have you forced guests to take a 30 minute trip to a convenience store. Why? Normally guests with cash will spend more.

Sorry, cannot advise as I went in spring. No snow. However, Furano New Prince has its own ski lifts - 2 next to the hotel.
